Now I have had post office boxes in port jeff and there was always somebody there to get your package. You just knock on the door to get your package.If it's 5 minutes before they open, they even tell you If you get there earlier , just knock on the door and they'll get your package because they are in. I have been with this post office for 2 years. I have a doctor's appointment so I couldn't stay there and wait for the 5 minutes. To me this is very poor customer service!

Lines move fast because the postal workers know what they are doing. The location is on Montauk Highway and therefore is easy to find. Parking is plentiful and is on a relatively small lot. Coronavirus Alert: A clear shower curtain drapes in front of the front counter. The floor is marked with green Xs, and six feet measures the distance between each X. Bring disposable gloves if you plan to pay for your transaction by machine.

Opened of course, with a lane stamp that it was received in poor condition. My post office didn't open it because they attempted delivery. I've even submitted extensive searches and inquires to these items and nothing came of it. How does this happen in modern times, especially when there is tracking?? Of course, being that it is the post office, the workers worked slightly faster than a snail's pace, which is better than some offices. Probably waited about 5 minutes or so to pick up some stamps. The worker was courteous, no complaints there. The building is absolutely gorgeous and you can tell has been around for some time in terms of its historic design. Street parking is free out front.

I told him we would come back the next day, but she found a letter with the old address in my car, so we went back at the same time and waited. Another man helped me, who seemed angry. He told me to show him my green card or whatever it was I had shown the previous person, and this was only because I was speaking Spanish with my girlfriend and because of my Latino appearance, because all I had to do was say "ID, not residency."
