The last few weeks I have been regularly going to this Staples to have posters made for my classroom and for some of my co-workers. I also own a brother printer that I purchased there last year and get my laser jet cartridges there when they need replacing. I have a rewards membership, but have never seen anything come from it. However, today while checking the spam section on my email account, I found that I had two $5 dollar coupons that had just expired on 11/30/21. I went to the store with the coupons and two used cartridges and also purchased a new 760 Brother cartridge. When I went to the register, Dylan, who checked me out was very helpful with the situation and got his manager Steven, who was nice enough to accept my $10 worth of coupons, which was really nice. This store has been here since my daughter was a kid and we used to get school supplies. I'm surprised no one else has left a review. It's a decent store. It's fairly well organized and kept clean enough. Other than right before Labor Day (school supply season) I've never seen it overly busy and it's simple to get in and out with what you need quickly. The reason I reduced my starts is because of a bad experience a family member and I had there. My father-in-law wanted to buy a computer and had seen an advertisement for a very cheap one. He went into the store with a print out from the email special and the guy at the courtesy desk insisted they didn't sell that computer. My father-in-law was showing him the Stables ad! I think he was taking advantage of my father-in-law's age and inability to always communicate well in English. My FIL called me and asked for assistance... I actually happened to be right there in the area so stopped in. The minute I went to courtesy and talked to this man, without TOO much debate, he tried to say he never said the things he had said and then ordered the computer. The whole thing felt like he was being sleezy and trying to pull a bait-and-switch on my loved one. In today's day and age with so many options to buy things cheap and online, no store should use these kinds of tactics... especially if it leads to losing a long time local customer. read more

This Staples computer service department was a huge let down. I know the department is only as good as the person who is servicing you. The guy acted like he really didn't want to help. I was told the only thing I can do if I forgot my password on my laptop is a total system reboot. I know enough about computers to know that you can try a few dissent things. I went right over to Best Buy Geek Squad And asked them if there was anything that they can do beside a complete system reboot if I can't remember the username and password. The very first words out of his mouth was, "let me try". Interesting...the Staples computer help department had no line and took me immediately and the Geek Squad had a line I had to wait in for 15 minutes before I could be helped. Now that says where I will be gong in the future. People know where to get good service. Now I know too. read more

Although I have previously written a negative review regarding this Staples, I now need to add a positive one. I went there to use their fax services and after I faxed the documents I realized that I sent the documents (through the machine) facing the wrong way. I went back to the counter and explained that I needed to add more money to the card (faxing is not cheap, I was charged $2.50 per page.) The client service representative said to me "let me just do it from here for you." That's right, she did not take any more money from me. She sent it and showed me the transmission report. The store is very clean, well laid out And brightly lit. Selection of merchandise is very good. I can't actually say anything about prices since I don't shop for office supplies often. I wasn't particularly impressed with the staff; there were not many around to offer assistance and the check out cashier was not at all friendly. The only print shop that limits the file size you can email them but also doesn't offer a thumb drive to use. Nothing like being asked to pay for a set of prints only if you buy a thumb drive. Should have bought one and returned it. This is the only staples, ups store, fed ex store, or private print shop that wants you to pay to send them a file. I am in Medford and this is my closest Staples now. I usually go in here to fax or make copies. I have had no issues with that. The prices for copying and faxing are reasonable and it is easy to do. It is more efficient than the library. I usually do not buy too many things in this store besides mailing envelopes , notebooks or folders. I do find most of their items to be on the pricey side, so I find better bargains elsewhere. The employees seem to be friendly enough. Avoid this place at the beginning of the school year though. It is crazy busy then. read more

DONT GET YOUR PHONE FIX HERE!!! the people the fix phones here don't know what they are doing. I had my phone screen fix and after they were done "fixing" it the phone was not working anymore. They had it for two weeks saying they had to send it out and it came back in worst condition if you can believe it, after they gave up and wouldn't refund my money. WTF!!!!! read more

This is the worst staples i have ever been in. We are business customers and have been since 1997. I ordered a laptop on line for pickup. My husband went to puck it up and the guy came out if the back like an attack dog trying to sell him everything you can imagine. He said you dont have antivirus, and ours is better . So my husband calls me, as I am the computer expert for business. I told the salesman we have our subscriptions in place and he goes on and on about how the computer is no good. Went in here a couple days ago to buy a laptop on their ad because they had it in-stock. An easytech employee helped me out and before he went to get the laptop, he proceeded with his speech on 3 things that I should get: 1) MS Office because it doesn't come with it, 2) their antivirus because it's the only one that is "guaranteed" against viruses and nothing else works, and 3) hardware protection because "laptops are made to last only for 2 years". He couldn't even look me straight in the eyes when he said that but I can't believe he said it in the first place. I was being nice when I let him talk and try to sell me the upgrades, but I work in IT and I'm pretty sure I know more about computers than him. So after he rings it up, I gave him a coupon they had going on for the Labor Day weekend and he tries to make an excuse right away that I couldn't use it but I told him that the laptop clearly qualifies for the coupon and he proceeded to enter it. After he gave me the receipt, he said that the rebate is a mail-in-rebate only and not an ezrebate so this guy clearly knows little. It would have been an OK experience if he didn't lie to try to sell the protection plan so suffice to say, I would be inclined to go to a different Staples just to avoid dealing with the bs. read more

Overall the store is not my favorite, especially when you have to switch back and forth between online on your phone (or the computer up front) and the tags on the shelf as the prices are often different. The manager is a bit of a jerk too so I use online whenever possible, but sometimes stopping in cant be helped. I did, however, have a wonderful experience in the business center/copy area (or whatever you want to call it... where they have all the copy machines). I had a computer issue at my office and a hard deadline so I drove on over with my laptop and paperwork. After being first shown over to the "self-help" area by some kid, I eventually dealt with a wonderful lady named "Margie" who was behind the counter there who walked me through everything, assisted me quickly and effectively and saved my project deadline. I do not know if she is a manager there or has just been there enough time to understand business, but she took ownership of my problems and helped me solve them. Looking for a laptop and their add had one that fit my needs at a decent price. On-line showed 2 in stock so we went to check it out. Searching the laptops on display this unit was nowhere to be found. Hmmm, on sale but not on display in store? Strike 1. Sales person approaches like "why are you bothering me" , I give him the sku and he slips away to look for it. Probably took a bathroom break. Comes back and says "we don't have that one in stock". Strike 2. We are getting a bit annoyed and ask why they would have it on sale, the on-line says 2 and you don't have it? With that, the manager? comes over and, with an attitude, says "oh, that computer inventory is never right. Why don't you order it online and you'll have it in a few days"? Why? Because I want it NOW. Strike 3. Stick to paper and ink here. Otherwise, Staples sucks. read more

I went into Staples in Patchogue, New York today to exchange a calculator. Being today was the first day of school, the store was packed. There must've been at least 50 people ahead of me on line. Once I reached the register and it was my turn, the kind cashier requested the managers assistance. We were promptly greeted by Mohammed the manager on duty. The man was being pulled in so many directions yet approached quickly to help. He went above and beyond to exchange the calculator for my daughter and supply us with the correct one. He was patient, knowledge as well as smiling the whole time. The young and patient cashier that helped was finishing up my transaction as I watched to see Mohammed move on to help so many others. All the time with a big smile on his face. I have to say I was alarmed to see the store packed and lined very long, yet this was such a pleasant experience because of Mohammed and staff at this location. Much appreciated. read more
