I've been using this post office since I was in middle school. I use to come here to mail letters to my international pen pals and even got my first passport here. The place hasn't really changed much. The lobby is bigger and the parking lot is a lot bigger. I've always gotten great service here. This place is always super busy...I mean lines out the door busy...but if you come in the mornings and after 2-ish you might be okay. I would rate a "0" if I could go that low. Our mail keeps getting delivered to someone else who happens to have the same house number but lives on a different street. I think the mail person is confused because both streets start with a "W". Today, I got a text saying they tried to deliver a package, that needed to be signed for, but no one was home -- wrong! I'm retired and home all the time and no one knocked on the door - I just heard the driver speeding down the street. No ticket was posted on my door, or left in the mailbox, indicating that a package was trying to be delivered so I don't have any tracking number with which to contact the post office for a follow-up delivery. This station is horrible. Multiple hours of operation listed on the web, hours on outside door don't reflect actual. One would think on tax day they could have been more accommodating. At least stock the priority mail supplies in the outer lobby so customers could use a $10.95 envelope rather than a $30.95 next day envelope. Bad counter service, typically no more than two and one always seems to be missing. And forget about calling. They don't answer the phone. Shut this place down. The employees care zero about their job and/or you. I have 15 years bad track record with them and have at times been yelled at by them for asking them to just deliver the mail. They delivered my package to the wrong address and now I am at a loss. Have been back and forth speaking with Greta from the office there and have no resolution as to where my package was dropped off. It was marked delivered and the address was correct so now I can't get a refund from the store I purchased and they will not resend. This is not the first time I've had this issue. I just don't know why there is never more than one person at the counter with a constant seven in line waiting. For the most part, that person is not friendly and seems unhappy to be working there. What's even more frustrating, is that person sometimes leaves their station leaving no one to help those in line. I literally drive 15 mins out of the way to another post office to avoid this place. The last time I was in there the person at the counter refused to speak to me, even after I said HOW ARE YOU TODAY???? As far as the delivery-Four of my last priority mail packages got cut into, as if someone is attempting to steal something out of the package. My delivery people are not nice and obviously don't know what they are doing. If I could give this post office ZERO STARS I WOULD. Never in my life have I had this many problems with getting my mail. For months I've dealt with the carrier faking attempts to deliver packages, marking packages delivered that wasn't, and just straight up losing my packages. Every month I'm making over 2 complaints for missing packages. And the fact they act as if it's acceptable to tell you all we can do is look is crazy. It's my money being spent. The carrier is usually sooooo rude when confronted and he acts as if he is losing his mind. I've never had an encounter with him that was pleasant. He's very confrontational smh. Today (Wednesday) we received mail for the first time since Saturday. Monday was - of course another HOLIDAY. Of late, it appears that the subdivision receives mail two to three times a week - not quite the six we are told. We take our outbound to the post office so it doesn't sit for days waiting for the mail truck. WE have changed most of our inbound bills to receipt on line so we do not receive the bill (as we have often) several days after the due date. To perserve our credit we would call the provider and get the info from them. I would rate them as nonexistent if such a rating were possible. Call or visit to make a complaint - you get to speak to 'someone' never the postmaster you asked to see. The only possible improvement would be to close this disaster. read more

I came in for a package that was suppose to be overnighted and paid for it (high cost) only for it to not be delivered 3 days latter. I came in to speak to someone and they put me to speak to the supervisor and she walked past me 3 times without attending me. Then came to me finally with no answers at all and not wanting to look into it anything. Left there still not knowing where my package is and when it will arrive at its destination. This post office is shady shady shady! I just moved to the area about 6 months ago and have had nothing but issues with this post office. From missing packages to marking my packages as held at the post office per pt. Request when I had not asked for it to be held. Somebody really needs to look into this place. Don't expect to get answers from the staff who are the epitome of incompetent. The only way to get a problem solved is to call the customer service line and file an investigation. This post office is unprofessional, uncaring and non-responsive. A postal driver who calls herself 'Q' has 1) refused to deliver our mail, 2) driven her truck so close to our door step we could barely exit (we have a photo), cracked our driveway and 3) ruined our sodded front lawn leaving deep ruts and mud in her wake. The managers say they 'understand' our concern and will address the issue yet nothing changes. When you call the phone will ring and no one ever answers their phone. Why even have a phone line if you don't want anyone calling? There seems to be a correlation between the higher price of stamps and the lower level of service (if you call that service). Service is part of their name. It's time to step up or exclude the term 'service' in Postal Service - it's misleading. They don't deserve a one star. read more

Nobody answers the phone. Our postman has threatened to suspend our mail service several times for no valid reason. Once because our son with Down Syndrome put the flag up with no outgoing mail. Another time because while our house was being repaired from a tree falling on it workers were parked in he street - not blocking any mailbox, but he did not want to have to drive around their truck. Each time I complained I was told by them that he couldn't do that and they would speak to him. Today he threatened to dump my husband on his head and once again said our mail would be suspended. Why? Because my husband said he could not "make" the landscapers move their truck if they already told him no as he was not their boss. Their truck was parked legally in the street and not blocking any mailbox. Despite the numerous complaints from many of the residents in our neighborhood over the course of several years - Ray continues to terrorize the community. How is it possible that the post office can lose a certified letter that I sent out for 45 days? Actually it was never lost. It was sitting there the entire time. It was never attempted for delivert. I had to escalate it 6 times then it was returned to me never having been attempted to deliver to the person I sent it to. Then received a phone call that would be processing me a refund and that had now been another 30 days which it has not arrived. read more

The post office in the Cobb Place Shopping Center on Barrett Parkway is a much tighter ship. Go there instead. It's pathetic that I have to resort to Yelp to get my complaint addressed. One of worst post offices I have been to. The employees are slow and rude. The service and attitude is horrible.

If all post offices ran like this one, there wouldn't be talk of cutting locations and services. People would be less apathetic about the fate of the USPS. I gotta say, this was a less painful experience than I was expecting, considering holiday shipping. They had multiple windows open including one dedicated for easy transactions. There was also a gentleman walking around, chatting with folks, pointing folks into the best lines for their transaction, and assisting with the line folks as needed. read more
