Just for fun, I pulled up USPS.com to see what it would cost. $5.25 for 2-day insured, alerts and trackable - and they even provide a free small box to send it in. Took just a few minutes to register an account and print my pre-paid label. I give their web site 5-stars - you can do just about everything here. Then I took my return item and prepaid label down to our Chelan Post Office. Even though the shipping box would be free, I was told to bring my own strapping tape, because they sell that. When I got to the office, the postmaster saw me waiting, opened another window. He took my label, folded together the flat cardboard box, inserted my return stuff, sealed the box, and even offered to attach the label for me. This is the Post Office- folks. 5-stars for the web site. 5 stars for customer service at Chelan P.O. Maybe there is hope for USPS after all - this is a Big Step in the right direction. Well done at every level

She had to ask a co-worker. 2. Why does Chelan, WA 98816 have no drive-by box to drop off outgoing mail? Nor does the Chelan, WA 98816 USPS have any ADA/handicapped parking spots! I am disabled. It is a major chore to find any spot, let alone a handicap parking spot. Come on USPS! You charge us tons to mail 1 letter. I know I know...drive another 22 miles after hitting a deer? Yeah, well it was my first accident since I started driving and I knew that I wouldn't be able to get roadside assistance so I wanted to get to a somewhat big city. I had been to the nearby Coulee Dam and Grand Coulee, which aren't big, but I could at least stay the night there. Anyway, about the post office, it's really small but generally cute for this small town. There is no APC, just old brick and mortar postal customer service and 24 hour post office access. One more post office to cross off my list. I'll never forget it.

Marianna and David are some of the nicest and the most helpful people I've ever met or spoken to. Marianna has on more than one occasion gone above and beyond to help me with mail issues. She is very sweet, friendly and smart. She also remembers the issue I constantly have with Mail and keeps an eye out so help ensure they don't get lost. She is really great! There was no indication on the box, placed with side up, that the items are perishable and needs to be refrigerated. I called and spoke with Diane, the owner, who was extremely rude. She indicated that the cherries left her facility in good condition. This is probably true, but when the package is placed in a bin without the recipient's ability to see it readily or the side up that indicates that it is a perishable item, then there is a likely risk that the item will spoil....which they did. If you want to order or give the gift of perishable edibles, please do not use this company. Please invest in companies willing to stand behind their service.
