My wife and I were on vacation and staying at a relative's place, while they were in Hawaii. They had forgotten a briefcase, so we went to Das Copy on Jan. 19, 2018 to mail the pkg. The gal at the counter told us it would arrive no later than the following Tuesday. I didn't even look at the receipt or question what she said. I just wanted to get the package to my relatives in Hawaii. I did ask her if there was a place in town where it'd be less than the hundred dollars she was charging me. Her reply was no. Later that day, I was informed from my relatives in Hawaii that the pkg was being sent ground freight, (according to the receipt I had sent them with a tracking number), and wouldn't be there until after they returned home. I couldn't believe it. I had to make a bunch of phone calls, drive into Wenatchee to pick up my pkg. at the Fed Ex center, then get it to the post office and send it from there. Day ruined! The post office only cost a little over $13.00, and it arrived on the following Monday evening. Wow. $87.00 cheaper and on time through the post office.
On top of all that I misplaced my wallet in all the confusion. My nephew found it two weeks later. When we went back to Das Copy the following Monday, the same lady at the counter denied telling us that she said our pkg. would arrive no later than the following Tuesday. Both my wife and I heard her say it. I just dismissed the whole thing, which frustrated my wife, but I just wanted to get my money and get back to vacationing. I was beyond dealing with this lady. She was wearing the same Seahawks t-shirt as the previous Friday. My wife had also sent a small pkg. to her very ill mom in Illinois. The pkg. was still sitting on the counter at Das Copy when we went there on Monday. Crazy. The lady reluctantly reimbursed us our hundred dollars, as she had to write us a check. I had no credit card. My wallet was gone. It pretty much ruined my 10 day vacation, as I lost my wallet and did all it takes to put a hold on all my accounts. I thought I'd dropped it outside the post office, when having to drop off a pkg which should have been already on its way to Hawaii via airplane. I won't say what I think of this business, but there were packages and letters on the floor where customers stood. The Fed Ex driver was in the shop on the previous Friday and had heard my conversation. I should have realized why he raised his eyebrows, when I was told the pkg would arrive by the following Tuesday. He must have known, "No way." This was a totally ridiculous situation. Shame on you, Das Copy. You all now know the post office is seven times cheaper than Das Copy, and packages get where and when they tell you. Very sad situation. read more
