Monday 2/9/26 I arrive at the United States Post Office at 4:47pm and was STOPPED at the door by a USPS employee telling me they are closing early!!!! Meanwhile there is 3 customers in line and 2 employees at the counter tending to customers. I got off work early just to get there to send off a certified check that required a dated post mark and priority tracking. Nothing difficult, typically a 2-3 minute transaction and move on. So I went down the street to UPS store and had to pay a premium. Look, I'm not outta bounds here when I remind people that USPS isn't some independent retailer in our communities providing shipping services. They are a GOVERNMENT agency that should follow the basic rules of morals and ethics. At a minimum provide a "SERVICE" within there hours of operation!!! Is that too much to ask for? BTW i was only one of a half dozen customers being turned away and most of them let them know they were not thrilled about it!!! Shame on the mid 40's looking gentleman who identified himself as the supervisor for being disrespectful to those elderly women who were refused service that afternoon. read more

Came in today missing my appointment time thinking it was at 11:45 but was an hour before I asked if it was still possible to come in even though that my appointment wasn't showing on their system from the hour before and the nice young lady wasn't able to catch her name. Let me do a walk-in wasn't a long wait. It really helped a lot as I was a first time for passport. Apart from that, the older lady took her care of everything easily and they both explained it all very well. The service was really amazing. And the value of their work was good. read more

Didn't show Monday which is when my appointment was, didn't show Tuesday AND now that she shows up on Wednesday, she's just walking around smacking her gum not doing a damn thing. This office has a group of the most disgusting, the most vile, the most unethical human beings working there. I'd been expecting my IRS check and received an informed delivery email showing the check had been scanned, processed, and to be delivered that day. The carrier came but no check was delivered. We checked the RING camera and it showed the carrier taking a text break on our porch and then placing his phone and followed by an envelope into his front breast pocket. After view the video over 10 times and having others review it as well, I went to the Wagner Branch location, escorted by my mother, where the carrier worked out of. I brought my concerns to the front counter and was redirected to a carrier manager at a barnyard door. The woman who opened that top half of the barnyard door would stop smirking throughout the duration of me explaining my concerns as if she wasn't taking anything I was saying seriously. She left for a moment and came back claiming the carrier on route didn't have the check. I later found out from a USPS employed family member (also a carriers for USPS) that mail carriers can not be contacted on route. The supervisor kept smirking and every concern I stated was returned with a sarcastic and/ or patronizing comment. I reported the incident to USPS customer support the next day (Friday). Customer support began an investigation that Friday. Saturday, the same mail carrier came to the house, rang the doorbell and informed my mom that the check was at the Wagner branch location and that I would need my id to pick it up. We went to retrieve the check (again escorted by my mother), stood in line at the counter and again was directed to the barnyard door to speak to a supervisor. This time it was a man that met me at the door. He asked me for my ID which I presented, and then under his breath, questioned me if I was the person that accused his carrier of stealing an IRS check. I replied, yes, I was. He attempted to chastise me in that moment, but I cut him off before he could finish and explain to him that I didn't want to argue, and that I was just here to pick up my check. His response was sharp, abrupt, extremely painful. The told me to come back Monday as he abruptly slammed the top half of the barnyard door on my pinky finger that had been resting on the top of the bottom, half of the door. My finger had already been broken from a previous incident, but the x-rays after the postmaster slam the door shows that the fracture has completely displaced it fractured shard away from its previous position. I called Inglewood PD for help, but the postmaster told the police that the check was never there, put on that I was there cause a public disruption, despite being directed to go to the office by the mail carrier to retrieve the check. Inglewood police refused to help suggesting that I TAKE USPS to CIVIL COURT to retrieve my IRS REFUND. At that moment I lost all sanity and common sense. The conduct of both the Wagner Branch and Inglewood PD caused me to lose my nerve. Panicked because of the financial situation I was currently in, I nearly got arrested by the same officers that I called for my transgressions due to the responses of both the Wagner Branch and Inglewood PD. I never received my check and my thing is, if he/ they didn't steal it, then why wasn't it delivered to the house like it was supposed to have been. it wasn't certified mail and it didn't need to be signed for. I had to change my mailing address with the IRS and the state tax board just for me to receive my refund. I filed in March, was scheduled to receive my return in April but had to wait an additional 6 weeks before the IRS could cut me another check. This was absolutely insane and the entire Wagner Branch needs to be investigated. read more

This post office, wish I had good things to say; I don't mind that it's just one clerk behind the desk at 12:15 pm, but there are other ones that are pacing around doing not much. One of the ones pacing stops, looks at someone in the line and laughs and I can hear her say, "look at him looking so angry" and she just stands there laughing (not me, another customer). This is my second review. I've decided to just drive to another post office moving forward. I stopped by at 4:45pm today only to be told they were closed (the hours are 9a-5p). I really think that USPS genuinely doesn't care about the people in this neighborhood and it shows with the way this post office is ran. First off it's understaffed but let's be honest that's the post office across the board but this office is really dingy and outdated. When I drive across town to aviation it's a brand new office that's bright and clear. They have self service machines the hours are better and longer, I guess because they like that community over there better. This office is dimly lit, the priority boxes are never stocked like it should be, parking is terrible, staff look drained of all hope and you lucky if it opens on time. One things for sure they're going to stand next to the door counting down waiting to close. Long lines all day with one maybe two people if your blessed and highly favored. What makes me said is the fact that majority of the customers who frequent this post office are majority elderly black people and they deserve better than this. Oh you thought I was finished!!! They also deliver my mail and you guessed it!! Inconsistent as most people child support payments. If my mail man (God forbid) gets sick Jesus Christ himself has to come down and tell someone to get those people their mail because nobody else wants to do it. I give it no star at all. The worst post office by far. Had an appointment for passport they tell you to arrive 10 minutes prior to appointment only to wait around for 40 minutes because the passport agent went to lunch. Then there is like 15 + people in line with only one window open. The attendant is obviously not in a good mood yet that is not the clients fault. This is not the first time this happens though it's a normal situation. Other times the workers are having a full blown conversation on their phone (AirPods) where you have to repeat yourself multiple times and still get an attitude. Sadly this is our tax dollars at work. Now we can also talk about how disgusting the office looks. Trash everywhere because no one seems to care about the cleanliness of this place, it almost seems like it's going out of business since there is always a shortage of supplies. Worst post office ever! They continue to tell customers that they do not accept packages from ups when in fact they do accept sure post packages from ups. Incompetent staff tells you your packages are not there when in fact they are, then they get sent back because they were not picked up?!?! Ruined my children's Christmas 2 years in a row. The worst part is their manager Uco Johnson is the worst of them all. I ask to speak with him regarding a matter and instead of coming to our assistant he sat as his desk and played with his phone (his desk is 5ft from the window) I'm literally looking straight at him as he purposely makes me wait 10 minutes before getting up. I can't speak well enough of this location. I just wanted to update my review to say that the cashiers do very well here as a team but they are even more impressive with just one cashier working the line. Sonja was the team member that did my transaction and what impressed me is the fact that I arrived close to the end of the day and you would think she would have a bland attitude towards the customers but it was actually the very opposite. While standing up for to the side to fill out my money order I paid attention to the time of voice the cashier's use to call the next customer. They were very polite. I say they because by the time I was done finishing my business I seen another team member working the line and she was just as polite. Things that would normally annoy a post worker didn't cause these employees to flinch. I love coming to this location. They are an example of how you should handle business. I wish they can train the employees at the 83rd and Vermont location. I say that because I had to leave that location only to drive way over tho this one for good service. read more

Do not use USPS for big boxes use ups or FedEx instead these people only want to deliver letters I was expecting a box to be delivered and they instead decided to not knock or say anything and just leave a note saying mail box is full and it would not fit in, I had to go pick it up to their station. read more
