This is the main hub for Lexington postal services. I honestly have to say that it's the only post office in Lexington that I've been to, but I must say that they've never been concerned with customer service any time I've been there... except for today. After I dropped my packages off and got my receipt or proof of service, the man gave me a receipt and asked me to take a survey to document my service today. Nah bro, I had everything ready to rock, you merely said hi and bye and print. Annoying. Most of the time, the workers treat you like you're asking for welfare. I just want you to mail my package and be cordial. Is it that hard to do?! Even when I went to get my passport photo several years ago, I got the impression that they hated assisting with that too. That's my survey. You can't have one easy customer and think you can solicit for an accurate survey. I could see contest written all over that. Uhh uh, I ain't doin' it.

This is the Central (Main) Post Office for Lexington. If you want to ship something out of town quickly, then I suggest you make a stop here instead of the other locations. Each of my visits have all been pleasant enough. I've even visited the Passport Office for a renewal and received my new Passport two weeks later.

I have come here with complaints about my mail delivery and they were very professional and kind, addressing the problems sincerely and telling me how to take the next steps. I always come here to mail my international letters and packages. The line moves quickly and they are open later than some of the surrounding offices. Sign on the window states the lobby is open until 6pm, but the staffed help desk closes at 5pm.

The supplies for priority or flat rate are always stocked along with address labels if needed. They also have post office boxes for rent . The lobby is normally clean and today wasn't any different. Today though I was slightly taken back when I walked into the lobby to use the kiosk and noticed people sleeping in the lobby and sitting by the post office boxes. I will say this those that were awake kept to themselves &didn't ask for money or even blink an eye at me while I was mailing my packages. Piece of advice bring your own pen because there are none ! I'm not sure if the post office removed them or someone ripped them off the chain their normally attached to. The post office does follow the CDC guidelines. Even though the post office was closed I kept my mask on while using the kiosk. (I was the only one in there mailing late Christmas packages.)

To USPS authorities I will escalate this case to news…read moreoutlets There is camera footage they will show and I will sit down and do an interview for them. What's next after that? They will check corrective action if there has been any. God bless the ones just doing their jobs but I don't want this guy picking on and making mean smart butt comments to my neighbors and the community. The very large heavy set husky black guy that worked Monday the 9th of March 2026 at the post office counter of the 1729 Alexandria Dr, Lexington KY 40504 he worked on the left side register against the wall. Looking inward from the front of the building, or walking in at the front of the line, it is the guy who worked the register all the way left against the wall. He was the only black guy there that day. He had a very sweet and nice white lady and a very nice African American lady there. But they got busy and I had to deal with him again. Where he usually works. He was so rude to me. First of all he had white powder in his night nose hole Don't know whT that is about He was acting weird and aggressive and threw my package right in front of me, it went into the box but he knew the package was glass and fragile. I didn't even get to ask him to stamp it the visit was so threatening and exhausting. He looked at me fast as if I was not aware of my broken back three ribs and a slipped spinal disk that is growing into my spinal cord and could snap it any day in my sleep, just when the pressure gets to be too much. Doctor 1 yr to 10. Ive never seen someone lookin at me like he felt good for causing pain. like I could possibly defend myself. Im 75 years old Vietnam veteran I proudly wear my hat. I wasn't wearing my hat that day but he knows I am a veteran I come in there all the time. I try my best to avoid him but can't sometimes. I ain't gonna let a disgruntled employee run me no where. Anyway.. The man does not need to be working a job that is known for it's professional kind and curious employees. He's the only rude USPS employee I have come across since moving to Lexington to take care of my dying father. I don't like confrontation but it feels like he is prone to easily triggered violence.. my neighbor Mary says the same thing. He seems to be very nice to the African Americans that come in. When I'm in line I see it. I am old but I ain't stupid. It's a noticeable change. The white people is a burden to him and u better kiss his ass for doing the favor for u and he has zero real care or respect for any white person or their mail that comes in there. He greets people in a weird way. He's being a smart *** to white people. He don't realize how obvious it sounds he hates his job. He treats u like it's ur fault he hates his job. For whatever reason, he should be appreciative for such a good job. I can't believe he is still working there. He's glad to see the African Americans. They are welcome there but we come in it's like we showed up to a party without an invitation. He turns it off somewhat around his co workers. I had to get my grandson to write this for me, he helps a lot, a good young man. I will not be sending him in to deal with someone so sick and full of hatred in his heart. He needs Jesus but ask him and he already knows everything and his time is valuable so if you have to write an address real quick on the letter, even a name he will say in a loud and aggressive tone, step aside and do that somewhere else. I looked up and said I'm just writing an address on here I forgot and he said even louder step aside while motioning the next in line to come up to the, I was done in 5 seconds, I was trying to get back in my spot in like but he motioned the next in line before her receipt even printed out for the next and done that with two more people, till the whole line was finished before even acknowledging me. So after all this and after he threw my fragile package he watched me wrap up with a piece of bubble wrap someone gave me.. the smile flat expression and sad face was on the key pad or card reader I'm not sure what it's called. The rating for how my experience was that day it was asking. The pad is right beside him and he watches you like a hawk clearly being able to see what you pick and when I hit the middle, flat expression option.. he laughed and said "I'm trying today I'm trying" I didn't know what that meant but it sounded like a threat and he said u try not to take it too hard when I was leaving. I never leave reviews but he is evil and disgusting. I will be escalating this case to the next in line, the higher boss or manager if he is still there next week. I have all day and nothing to do. My father died after I took care of him every need. Rolled him on different sides to prevent bed sores because he couldn't even get out of bed. He was also a veteran. We can do this however the USPS management here in Lexington wants to do it. LEX18 or WKYT would absolutely love this story. Especially since it's on camera

I got good service while I was here. I don't tend to use postal services much as the role of hard copy documents in public life continues to decline, and I found the price of getting my item sent to be higher than I expected, but given that I needed to do this, I wasn't terribly mad that I came to this particular office.
