I went to this location regarding packages that didn't have my apt # on it I order from a company and they split my packages out so instead of one package it was 2 .....The issue was my apt # wasn't listed so it came back as an lA* insufficient address" with they tried to deliver it mind you I called the sender and it was nothing they could do because it had already shipped. They told me to contact the postal service. When I went in the office Camille helped me very sweet girl and helpful I was able to get the first package cortected and I received it no problem. I let Camille know it was another package that had the same issue she told me what to do. So the second package came back as IA* insufficient address" as well So i go back in the office, there was a lady at the counter, when I came in she looked at me up and down and said what can I help u with. I begin to tell her my issue she cuts me off and say "contact the sender* I stated I already did and proceeded to explain she cuts me off and say next time make sure they have it updated. I wish there was a way to give this place ZERO stars. I agree with Jose S. (below): Mrs. Smith is by far the worst postal service employee I have EVER encountered. After waiting in a ridiculously long line with my 6-week old baby in tow (who she rolled her eyes at and made a comment about right in front of my face), she proceeded to yell across the post office that I coughed in her face. I did not - nor would I ever. I had something in my throat, cleared it, and then asked her if I could mail my package. Then, after that, she was very rude to me; rolled her eyes when I dared to stop what I was doing and put my baby's car seat on the ground; and then, after I paid, she asked for my ID and credit card to "ensure I was who I said I was" and when I placed both on the counter, she said, "I need you to place those closer to me on the counter." When I did, she again rolled her eyes. At that point, I said that I would never be using the post office again and she told me that I could "complain to someone else." Finally, all I asked for was a pair of scissors to cut the tape in order to affix my shipping label - that I had already printed out - and she told me I could "use the tip of an ink pen." When I tried to do that, while simultaneously trying to take the receipt she was waving in front of my face, she flung it at me like a frisbee when I didn't take it in enough time for her, I guess, for me to put my driver's license and credit card back in my wallet. At this point, I am crying in the middle of the post office, trying to move my baby to the work area she has told me to go to in order to tape my shipping label, while also trying desperately to cut this thick packing tape with the tip of an ink pen so I can get the heck out of there. Finally, a nice man behind the counter timidly showed me how to do it while getting side-eyes from Mrs. Smith. I looked at him and said loudly enough for her to hear, "Thank you for being so helpful and actually showing me how to do this." Never again will I ever, ever use this post office. Firstly, mailmen in my area routinely place mails and packages in wrong boxes. Either I am walking around in the neighborhood delivering the mail or package at the right address, or some courteous neighbor is bringing it back to me. I've experienced heartache, throttled responsiveness and a plethora of beyond rude comments from this location that evidently oversees all my en route shipments. The most recent debacle involved my Collector Corps Civil War Box for April. The USPS Tracking clearly indicates the box was delivered at 1:07pm yesterday afternoon, however, USPS says that it was addressed to another person and a different address?!?!?!? WTH!!???!!?!? As I am being told this over the phone by the Sorting Manager, I see my Collector Corps account notifying me that this April box and the previous three boxes, were all addressed to my current apartment. So, we ordered an incorrect pant size and had to return them. Closing time is at 6 but the place goes into "Eco" mode at 5:10PM. I arrived to try and use the self service kiosk to print the label and be on my way. No, that is way too convenient. Every option was parenthesized with the note: (Sorry, I'm not able to do that today.) So, hitched a slow moving ride on the lava- I mean line, to find myself wondering if I should have filled something out(hint: everyone had a slip of paper). Was I forgetting something? Ah, the label of course, priority mail, news to me after reaching the counter, at about $8 to Alabama. A label which I filled out at a work station and to my relief was allowed back to the front of the line to finally ship out. Tape is provided, no scissors to cut so bring a straight edge. I'm sorry to say I had an very unsatisfactory experience with this branch. I visited because I submitted my change of address last month and received my confirmation email with all the correct information, but I had not received any mail for five weeks. I decided to take time out of my workday to visit this office (I called over ten times, and each time received a busy phone signal). When I arrived, I informed the carrier that I had not been receiving my mail. She asked me, "Do you know what a mailbox is?" and told me that I filled out my form incorrectly online. I showed her the email confirmation I received with the correct address, and she then said their paperwork showed a different address, and that I needed to contact Dallas Consumer Affairs. I did contact Consumer Affairs and made a request to fix the error, but today I came home and was surprised to see all of this month's and last month's mail in my mailbox (?), all of which had the correct forwarding address on them. I'm still very confused why I didn't receive my mail for a month, but my experience in trying to resolve the issue with this branch has been very frustrating. I haven't had an issue like this before with any other mail carriers. I filed a complaint on usps.com, and I'd encourage anyone who has a disappointing experience to file a complaint as well or call USPS customer service at 1-800-275-8777 to complain. Perhaps if this location amasses enough consumer feedback, they could work to rectify the disorganization at this branch? It's the only solution I can think of at the moment. This location is MUCH better than others. Every time I've been in on the weekend to pick up a package or mail something weird that requires help from the postal workers, it's always been at least a neutral (if not positive) experience. They were also prompt and helpful for my passport application - FYI, you need to make an appointment! The people at this branch seem to have way more competence than other locations, and for that, I'm quite thankful. They actually acknowledge that the line grows quickly on weekends, and give the impression that they're trying to move things along and be efficient - typically having a worker dedicated to walking through the line to ask what you're there for to see if they can route you as efficiently as possible. They actually man the package pickup door (this may seem like a given, but believe me, it's absolutely NOT at other locations) so you don't have to stand in as long of a line if you're just picking up something too big for your mailbox or that requires a signature. And [shock] they have always HAD my package, not told me it had already been sent back after only one notice. It may not always be service with a smile or as efficient as we'd all like, but Valley Ranch, seriously... be thankful it's not worse, because it is FAR worse in neighboring areas. read more

This location was much better than other locations in 2009, but I have hated dealing with them in 2010 and so far in 2011. The female workers there have nothing but attitude everytime I go in there. I'm happy I may never have to deal with this location again! The line is usually long, but that's to be expected. But if you get to the front of it with 5 minutes left till closing time and they tell you your package "can't be found", ask for a supervisor. This happened to me and the supervisor found it in less than a minute. The only person I really enjoy dealing with in the entire location is the guy behind the door. On Friday I visited this location (not my first time) and this time it was the worst experience. The African American lady looks at me giving me an order to go to the side and write down the address on the box. She didn't ask me a question where to ship, she just assumed that it is international because I do look so. More than an unpleasant experience! A nightmare is more like it!! Went in to send off my old passport for renewal on March 7 2020! Was notified that I would receive my new passport in mail by April 4, while constantly checking mail, I never received my passport. Contacted passport agency to verify it was received and re sent, they informed me it was delivered to my address March 21st! I then recontacted usps about the issue and was then told "sir it was delivered, I remember that one, the carrier contacted me on it saying he delivered it!" So I asked where is it because I still don't have it? Response was that I misplaced it and it is not there problem!! Seriously!!!! Then got a smart ass remark from the supervisor "would you like me to go door to door to see who has it sir," very rude and very unprofessional! I deal with customers personal information on a daily basis and if I loose any info from a customer, it would result in me loosing my job or worse, a law suit! They refused to help and now the passport agency is closed and this has ruined my wife and I plans for our honeymoon because I have no idea when I will ever get a new passport to replace the one they have lost! To top it off passport agency informed me I would need to submit a ds86 form which I would have to sent through mail carrier and pay even more money to sent that information off, so with that, I have information scattered all over the continental US. From what I am told by passport agency, it could be months up to a year before I hear anything, I know coronavirus cancelled plans anyway temporarily, but I can't plan any vacation because I don't know when I will get my passport read more

So I had a package that was mailed from Houston and got here in Irving on Wednesday. The tracking notes say that carrier wasn't able to get in the gate which he or she is not supposed to. I requested to have my mail held for over 3 weeks while I was out of the state. I went to pick up my mail at the post office when I returned. The interaction was far from positive. I told her I had held mail to pick up and the response was "And?" She asked what my address was, when I began to tell her she briskly interrupted to demand my ID. We also set a mail hold for multiple addresses for some long trips and the idiots keep delivering the mail when they are supposed to hold it. On Friday we had a package that had been out for delivery 3 days in a row, and it was marked hold for pickup and that a notice was left. No notice was left so I went to pick it up. I set up my appointment online to come in and apply for a passport (an expedited one at that, my job is sending me out of the country next month). My appointment was for 12pm and they said on my confirmation email to be here 10 minutes early. I came in 15 minutes early because that's just me. I spoke to a nice lady at the counter who directed me to the passport waiting area (she earned them 2 stars instead of just 1 because she was polite). She let her coworker know that the 12pm passport appointment was here. Then - get this - her coworker loudly stated for everyone here to hear: "I'm not doing a passport right now I'm going to lunch!" Reviewing a post office seems silly, I mean don't they all suck? Probably, just this one seems worse. My gripe is this... I'm smart enough to know standing in line at the Post Office is much like waiting your turn for a colonoscopy, so I do my shipping online. Weigh it, measure it, print it and your good to go. But then you still need to drop it off. So I go to the post office, waltz right past the line of unhappy postal zombies patiently waiting their turn, and drop my package on the unmanned counter with the other pre-paid shipments. That's it, my job is over, I turn to leave when one of the clerks stops what she's doing and yells at me to come back over. I turn, everyone looks, she says which package is yours? (The pile is fairly large). I walk back over and show her. She then starts asking me stupid questions in front of everybody (everybody who now isn't being helped). Is there anything hazardous? Is it perfume? Are there batteries? Does your label say "flat rate box"? No, no, no, no... Ugh. Look, this ain't my first rodeo. I know enough how to ship my own stuff, I've got an account with the postal service online. I know what I'm doing, if I screwed something up you can find me and charge me. That's cool. I'm making their job easier and doing my part to keep Post Office lines short by not getting in them. All I ask now is to not call me out and embarrass me when I drop something off. I guess they don't like it when a customer is about to have a good experience. They have to find some way to mess it up. They do this little ritual every once in a while. Terrible, terrible post office with miserable customer service. I've (sadly) been using this location for the last 12 years because it's the closest to my home. I've encountered rude staff, uncaring staff, staff that stands there and stares at you and refuses to help. If, for example, you're picking up a package and there's a long line for that service, but no line at all for buying stamps, etc. the workers selling stamps won't help out. They stand there doing nothing while customers wait. The location also runs out of boxes for priority mail and flat rate shipping all the time. The final straw that is going to cause me to do an official complaint is my experience with them there on Wednesday, March 4, 2015. I am between houses - selling one and purchasing another - and put my mail on hold. I did it online and got a confirmation. On Wednesday, I went to pick up my mail. (I stood in line behind three other people and watched the workers at the counter do nothing to make this line move faster.) The woman behind the package pickup door told me my mail wasn't there. I told her it was on hold. She said "she" must have delivered it. I asked who she meant and she said the mail carrier. Our mail carrier is a man, so she obviously didn't know what she was talking about. She refused to look again for it. She gave me a phone number, supposedly for my carrier, and told me to call him and find out. Wait, what? Now I'm doing their job for them? So, I called and got a busy signal; I think it was a fake number. I actually had to go to my condo complex, wait for my mail carrier to show up and ask him if he knew anything about my mail. Todd, the mail carrier, is a great person and I have absolutely no complaint about him whatsoever. He told me it was there at the post office and even told me exactly where it was. So, I went back to the post office. I went to the package pick up window and rang the bell. I ended up having to ring the bell three times and wait six minutes before anyone came to the window. The worker at the window was a different woman from before and she was much more helpful. She found my mail, WHICH HAD BEEN AT THE POST OFFICE THE ENTIRE TIME. I got no apology, either for the wait or for all the running around I had to do because of their total and complete incompetence. read more

I'd like to start off by saying that I've given this place a fair opportunity to prove itself over the past year. I've gone in over a variety of times and days. What I've found is that I share similar sentiments as Brittany, Jose, and Janice. To have this many people accounting for similar negative experiences creates a lot of smoke- so, the fire is likely close at all times. Upon my first visit to this office, I had expected average to possibly above average service being that they have a nice facility, sufficient parking, and the inside is generally well kept and clean. To my surprise, there was a line about 20 people deep on a Thursday afternoon in April. I quickly noticed that two of the staff members talked to one another quite a bit, and rather loudly. They mainly commented on customer questions, sometimes snidely, instead of simply engaging with the customer and answering efficiently and politely. As I neared the front of the line, a younger woman was shipping a package and asked a simple question about the type of box she chose. The older female associate with glasses who was making all of the comments (to the younger female coworker who tends to sit by her) glared at the customer and said, "If you have questions, go over there and read the signs." I honestly thought she was joking, and the young female customer may have thought so as well. The girl asked again, just making sure she wasn't overpaying for a service that she didn't need. The arrogant associate, who I've come to believe is the Mrs Smith that everyone talks about, would not help her. The customer simply paid and left with a confused look on her face. Normally being a polite and mild mannered person in public, I approached the counter with frustration of the wait in line and recent mockery of the customer in front of me. I had a question myself. I had a simple envelope addressed and ready to go, but the woman said I couldn't ship it. When I asked the simple question, "Why is that?" she leaned back in her chair and looked at me as if I swore at her. She said, "You need another envelope." I asked what kind and she pointed to the work area and said "NEXT!" Wow. I couldn't believe it. As I was walking away, she loudly said, "These people need to learn" directly to her tag team co-worker who rolled her eyes. Really? How can we learn all of the wonderful rules of USPS if we don't have associates who answer questions? Even though I wanted to engage, I let it go. The next time I returned, months later, I had a similar experience with the same woman. This time, I simply asked her why she had such an attitude problem. She insisted that she didn't have a problem and then began talking loudly to her trusty coworker about bad customers. I asked her why she wouldn't answer simple questions and she said that she didn't have to and that everything was written in the work area. Well, it isn't, and I do believe that any customer who waits in a minimum half hour line has the right to ask a question... even if the "worker" has to answer that question multiple times during a shift. That in fact, is their job. Today really inspired this review. It was a Saturday, long line expected. No problem, I was ready. Rude employees seemingly enjoying harassing customers? Definite problem. This time, I did not deal with the rude woman with glasses, I dealt with one of her sidekicks. Having no prior attitude, I tried very hard to be as nice as possible to test other yelpers' "be nice and they'll be nice" theories- I kindly greeted the woman and asked her about rates for shipping my package. I used one of their priority boxes that I had from a previous shipment and she shook her head condescendingly and said "You chose the wrong box. This is heavy." I thought to myself, ok, so priority and flat rate boxes are handled differently... (receipt confirmed 7lb 2oz weight for a 12 x 15 USPS Priority Mail box, is that really heavy?) I never knew this because as you know, I can't get any questions answered. At least know I know. Since she was just glaring at me, I asked her the difference between the services and she said, "The boxes are over there." That's it. She just stared at the woman working beside her and said to her, "You need to go to the work area and ask someone there." So, she was responding to me, but only looking at her friend in the glasses the whole time for some sort of snide confirmation that she was taking part in demeaning a customer. I looked over my shoulder, a line out the door, and no associates in the "Work area." What she meant was to then ask another customer in the work area... so, now customers of USPS are supposed to also work at USPS? The bottom line- 1.) Their self serve kiosk doesn't work, try to print your labels out online. 2.) Be prepared to wait in a long line. 3.) Be prepared to deal with bad attitudes and condescension. 4.) Have very low to no expectations to get help or questions answered. read more

This woman Cassy was extremely rude, kept asking us to move to different places to package our product, then she asked my wife if she knows English, which she speaks well but has an accent. The comment was made after I left or I would have gone directly to management. Then my daughter was playing with post cards and the woman sent someone to take them from her, and my wife said we would buy them because of the embarrassment she was caused from the continuous insults from Cassy.
