I shipped by priority mail. They lost my Christmas gift to a friend. I am trying to file a claim. It will not let me because I do not have receipt for the items I bought. Insurance up to $100 is a big scam since they don't tell you this bit of information. So keep any receipts for your insured packages. read more

I went to a scheduled passport appointment for my three month old and was 14 minutes late. The worker would not allow me to have my appointment and called his supervisor Erica over who said the same thing. I took my 10 year old to get a passport on October 25 (TWO MONTHS PRIOR) to the same exact location and they made me wait because three different families who were between thirty minutes to THREE HOURS LATE were seen ahead of me. Extremely unhelpful and rude staff. I've never been so mistreated by a post office staff member than the Asian lady that works there. I didn't see her name tag, but my gosh! She has some problems. My packages weren't accepted, and she essentially kicked me out because I had my 10 lbs dog with me. My dog had a vet appointment today, thats why I had my dog with me. I had a package shop from California to Texas. The sender was so excited to surprise me. They paid for priority express (next day) & 9 days later I still don't have it. I emailed in regards to it being lost, they stated it never arrived to the Dallas post office (tracking shows it's last destination was this distribution center on 4/11 which was guaranteed delivery date). They then stated the issue was resolved, despite me not having an idea on where my package actually is and why it isn't delivered. I try to use USPS as they need the business, snail mail isn't booming like it used to. But this is the final straw of mishaps. You cannot depend on the USPS in Coppell, Texas to perform package pick up. This is the SECOND time in ONE WEEK that no one has shown up to get my packages. That service should be discontinued if they cannot handle it. The main issue seems to be if my normal carrier is off - Antoine is GREAT - when he is working my route. The passport picture they took and we paid for was rejected by the passport place. Don't they do this all the time???? This time the USPS rendered the worst customer service ever! 1. They don't have the adequate mail supplies in their own offices, at least in the two offices I visited: in Irving and in Coppell - Texas. 2. I used the only envelope for Priority Mail available in the Coppell (MacArthur Ave) office, which ended up being the wrong one (the most expensive: Priority Mail Express). I know it was my mistake. So, the envelope was returned. 3. The envelop was water-damaged. The USPS totally ruined the notarized documents inside. 4. I went to the Coppell office to complain. 5. This the worst post office I have ever encountered. I have constantly received other peoples mail. I experienced many lost packages. Some eventually arrived weeks late and some never found. The staff are helpful only when they have to be and are not polite. They act as though customers are a bother. Do not use the Coppell Post office if you can help it. If possible I'd rate them 0 stars. I've only had a PO Box here for one month, and in that month they've lost 4 of my packages ( I've still not received even ONE of them), put completely different peoples mail in my box, and overall have terrible customer service. I witnessed one of the male workers behind the customer service (hah!) desk yelling at a woman a few people in front of me telling her to pay more attention to the changes of a service she'd been using for a while, and when looking in the area to see if they'd made any signs or posted about any changes there was literally nothing there, you wouldn't know until you check out with one of them. So when my turn came up, I had tracking information from a package shipped by UPS to my PO Box, I showed the man this information and he simply said oh we don't accept UPS packages here and asked for the next person in line. LOL. Never in my life have I heard of a post office that doesn't accept mail from a certain carrier WHEN ITS ADDRESSED TO BE SHIPPED TO THAT POST OFFICE AND THAT PO BOX. It really blows my mind, so I head over to the ladies in the back to check on the status and they're much more helpful, but then tell me that the package was returned to sender because I never came to pick up. So how do I pick up a package, when I have no idea that's it's been delivered and there's no package slip left in my box and no notification of any sort that's it's arrived. Through my experience and (apparently many others' as far back as 2015), it's purely bad luck if your package gets re-routed into the distribution center at 951 W Bethel Rd, Coppell, TX 75019. I had several packages of PERISHABLE items scheduled to be delivered from Texas to Florida between October 2020 - January 2021. Like many of the negative reviews, the USPS tracking system updates were regularly updated, that is until they arrived at this Coppell distribution facility. All my packages were sitting in this North Texas facility for at least a week with no updates or tracking information. And these packages were supposed to have been delivered in Florida 10 days ago. I tried to be patient with the pandemic and the holidays etc., but it took more than 10 hours of making phone calls and being placed on hold before I could get case numbers assigned to all the missing packages. Once I got the case numbers, the packages were expedited from Texas to Florida within 3-4 days. However by the time they arrived in Florida, it was already more than 10 days past the expected arrival date and the items HAD ALREADY PERISHED. If my packages were expedited with a case number, then that means the other mailing facilities were able to get the job done once the packages were identified and left the Coppell distribution center. But what does that say about the weeks that those packages spent sitting/rotting in this North Texas facility?! I believe I now have important *time-sensitive* first class priority mail sitting in this same facility, which was supposed to have been delivered to Florida 8 days ago. I looked at the USPS website, which said that the latest that a first-class mail is supposed to arrive is in 4-5 days , no matter where it's shipping from. I've been waiting 8 days and won't be able to receive this letter in time for an important deadline. There's no tracking number for first class priority mail either. Thanks a lot......... It's extremely unacceptable and unprofessional that this facility is still operating given the amount of negative reviews all over the web dating as far back as 2015. And the kicker is: my review isn't going to make any difference; packages are still going to be re-routed into this "black hole of a center" (as someone called it) never to be seen again... read more

If your mail goes here, you can count on it taking a month to receive/send it. They lost a check I mailed for 2 months! This time its a package. Hopefully it doesn't take another 2 months. Ive had 2 other orders from both the UK and China show up faster than this domestic package. Somehow my package, despite being at my local post office a day prior, still ended up at this terrible terrible place. Coppell Post Office 75019, The building was dedicated to one of the most impacting Presidents Ronald Reagan numero 40! from the looks of the inside they have not done any renovations since he was in office. Somedays I like to stop my mail....it's too depressing mainly bills so Outa site outa mind! They have a friendly upbeat postmaster aka "Great OZ" that sits behind the big wooden door.....you ring the bell and show him your ID and he runs in the back and hands you your mail you put on hold! I rarely stand in line, usually opt to the machine in the lobby. The new stamps are craz......they print them out to order. no more pretty pictures just black mindcraft looking designs! *This Post Office requires you to make an appointment to apply for or renew US Passports. read more

All the ladies I have dealt with here are super sweet, but the lines are so long but it seems like they go by pretty quick . Especially since I play on my phone while I wait anyways :D They have plenty of supplies if you need them, tape, packages, cards, pens, etc! Of course you will have to pay a lot more here for those items but at least you have that option in case you are in a rush and are needing this quickly. There's also a self service area which you can use to ship certain items, and it's very user friendly! read more

What is up with this location? I live in a totally different part of Texas and this is the second time a package of mine has gotten stuck at this location. The first time my package from an online retailer showed as being stuck at this location. The retailer finally resent it to me after a couple of phone calls and a few weeks passed. Right now I have a package I'm sending to another state that is stuck here and should have reached its destination within a couple of days. The ladies who work here are kind and patient. I've been coming to this place for 15 years and have oftentimes heard people say the meanest things and treat them so badly, when they're frustrated or packages haven't been delivered or if there are certain rules on sending packages that customers don't like. Like I can't even believe people would talk to ANYONE at all like that. It's crazy how entitled, impatient and uncontrolled people can be. But I've seen the staff take the verbal abuse, calm and controlled. They take care of the customer and move on with their day. So yes, 5 stars for the staff here who have to put up with all you crazy people out there yelling for no reason. On another note, this post office can get pretty busy sometimes and lines are almost always long, but it hasn't been anything too major that has affected service, for me! read more

I went to the main post office in Coppell yesterday at 3:30 PM to However send an international priority mail package. All I needed to do was, get a Priority Mail envelope from there and put in my stuff so that they could give me the USPS Customs Declaration and Dispatch paperwork to fill out so that it could be put onto the envelope that was to be mailed. it didn't need to be weighed as it was a flat rate priced envelope. When I got there, there was only one cashier and I was the only one in line. I couldn't see any Priority Mail envelopes so I asked her if they had any and she said she only had one, which she handed to me. Then she told me that she only one copy of the Declaration and Dispatch paper that I would need to affix onto the envelope which i was going to be mailing. She told me not to make any mistakes as that was the only copy that she had. I asked to buy stamps and she told me thkat they didn't have any stamps. Because there were no other customers in line, I thought that I would be in and out of there but this turned into an hour long because when i looked at my receipt and the timestamp, it read 4:30pm. I can't get over how dysfunctional this post office is. I don't know how a post office cannot have the envelopes or the correct forms. About every 3rd package I send from this location gets "lost" I mean stolen. And every time I go in to use the kiosk, so I can add insurance for my shipment, it is always temporarily out of service. More like permanently out of service. I would go to any other post office but they are more than likely the same run by people who either don't care or worse just want to steal your stuff. The worker Maria is rude. She talks to you like you're an idiot or a child. She makes mistakes and tries to cover it up. She over talks you and talks at you. I would not recommend going to or this facility if you need help with processing packages. She did not ring up a package of mine and I told her to look at my receipt and she tried to fast talk me.
