If you spend enough time listening in the post office line, you will realize that these Flower Mound employees are saints. I have no idea how they deal with the public on a constant every day basis, and a lot of folks have no idea how to mail a letter. They are polite and kind to each person, and it's very much appreciated. Sure, the lines are long and times, but I think you will get that anywhere. And if the employees can be patient with all of Flower Mound, we can be patient to wait in line. This location has self service machines that can be used if one wants to skip the line, or if they come on hours when the counter is closed. read more

The staff here is so rude and the opposite of helpful. Trying to shop out holiday gifts and the older guy at the front couldn't be bothered to help, was eating at the front but couldn't check people out (line was at least 20 people long) and then getting an attitude with everyone there. He made me buy additional tape even though it was a priority package that was getting taped by them anyway. Terrible experience... go to FedEx or ups, they're considerably more helpful! read more

Honestly this was the best post office I've ever been to. All the employees were so friendly and sweet! I dropped off my save the dates for my wedding and had a very sweet conversation with the employee while waiting. They weighed my letters to ensure postage was accurate and made sure to place them in the bin nicely so that they wouldn't bend. So sweet and thoughtful! Thank you guys! read more

This is the most poorly-run post office in our area. Last time I came to pick up held mail it took 30 minutes. There were no other customers, but a long line formed after me for mail pickup. Today the drive-through mailbox is completely full; I could have taken mail out. I went inside and that one was also full. Having a mailbox available is a pretty basic service that should be available at a post office. The employees are nice when you finally get to talk to them. read more

I have lived in Flower Mound for 25 years. I was told in year 1, always go down to Lewisville's PO to mail anything you want to get to the address you are sending it to. I mailed birthday invitation within the city and it took up to 3 weeks for people to receive them. We often get neighbors mail, same house number wrong street. Have driven through to mail cards and outside box was so full couldn't drop mail an hour after it was supposed to be emptied? Some of the less friendly inside folks have left or retired over the years, but still worth the trip to go to Lewisville. read more

they advertise they take walk ins from 3-4 for passports. we got there 20 minutes early, had all my children, planned our day around the hours, and were told by Micah they didn't have the "man power" to take said appointments.... as he did said appointments ahead of us. during his last appointment the line was managed just fine by the lady working with him. he then ignored the three other people that came in for the same thing and chose to close the office space in my face. basically he chose to not want to do what the posted hours advertised. poorly run, managed, and no professionalism at this location at all. do not recommend read more

This lady Joanne was very rude, she gave me a hard time by saying that my signature was not match my last name, this was ridiculous, and she kept saying don't talk so loudly, only I didn't. some of our demivery persins are great. some not so much. such as the one or ones who twice dropped mechanical gear from their trucks, once a hot muffler in the street in frimt of our mailbox. twice broke the mailbox by stuffing to large onjects into said box. of course we had to buy and replace those parts. today (Monday Decenber 39, 2024) the height of laziness. i had put one (1) envelope in box for outgioung. put flag up. just went to mailbox at about 5:30 PM. yes, their were two pieces of incoming mail, but the lazy postman or woman hadn't bothered to pick up my outgoing mail. just put incoming on top of my outgoing envelope. How unsatisfactory is that. I'm all for installing mailboxes at corners again because this service bites!!!! So angry. I remember when over the years we'd be anxiously awaiting mail delivery. I don't know why all the bad reviews for customer service. Every time I've gone they have been very friendly and pleasant. Also gave me recommendations on how to ship at a lower cost. I intentionally go to this location over the one in Lewisville where the staff is never nice and act like they hate their job. We sent our son sensitive documents via RESTRICTED DELIVERY. While he tracked the package all day, the person who handled the package delivered it to a 3rd party we were not familiar with, and by the time the system was updated, it was already beyond contact hours. Our son never left his location and there was no knock and no attempt to reach him. UPDATE: While my first attempt to resolve the problem this morning did not start well, we are pleased with the eventual result. My assessment is that this location requires more support and training, but the folks who work there were, at the least, willing to listen..once they understood the seriousness of the situation and my extreme concern. I have upgraded the rating from a 1 star to a 4 star rating because the manager was willing to send a person out on a separate trip to track down the missing package. *Mistakes are inevitable, but all any customer asks for is that one acknowledges that a problem occurred and that they work together to help resolve the situation. read more

Since you guys know what a US Post Office is like, I'll keep it simple. The workers behind the counter during the week are generally a bipolar group - some are always happy to help - some are annoyed that you're breathing and in their face. I actually try to do anything to avoid the human line, I try to use the automated kiosks at all costs because I can't control who I actually get! It's much more simple to bring in a packed and ready set of mail, use the automated kiosk to slap on postage and pay with a debit card and skeedaddle before anyone notices I was in there. The good part about it all is that my mail always gets to its destination in a timely fashion - so the post office itself functions as it should! It would be nice to one day go into a post office where the workers actually act like they like their job - or at least fake it and try to not make the customers feel awkward or dumb because they bought the wrong/too much/too little postage. read more

I used to work for the post office back in the 1970's in Amarillo, tx. the motto nor snow or rain will keep us from our appointed duties. apparently, that motto is no longer valid. there were several days I did not receive mail during a snow day or rainy day in Flower Mound. and even in good weather, I am getting my mail at late night or not at all? I am so glad I can pay my bills on the internet, because if I depended on USPS they would be charging me a past due fee. our postal system today is really bad. I want to get my mail on a timely basis, and when the sun is up. The postage rate is going up every year. I can see why. Two parts to the review. In person and delivery. In person this place is amazing. Everyine inside is very helpful and always smiling. This part gets 5 stars. Delivery is different story. Had a few packages never delivered last year but in the first 6 months of this year I have had major issues with them. First was a package from China, clearly marked with my address was out for delivery then i got a message the address was unreadable. It was sent back to China. Image of the package at the disto center shows a perfect address in it while in transit back to China. Next was a package lost in April 17th. Was told it was delivered just not scanned..... it never showed up. Now, yesterday one of two packages showed up. The second finally gave an update stating package not deliverable- no access to location. Yet my mail is clearly not closed past 5pm and doesn't have a lock. it just sits at the end of my driveway waiting for mail..... this is just the worst delivery service ever. read more

Told me to wait off the side for a supervisor and that he might come out and talk. Next lady beside her told next customer he should answer when she asked something. Wow, worst postal service of anywhere I have lived. When we moved here last year, we tried to renew our daughter's passport. We made a reservation online, then a few days later arrived a little early for the reservation. We were told, rather rudely I must say, that we were mistaken and they did not do passports at this location. WTF?? She then dismissed us! We went home, did some research, and CONFIRMED they DID do passports. We made another appt making sure to print out everything to prove we had the appt. Fortunately this time we got Joanne who was as nice as she could be. We were finally able to take care of business two weeks later than we should have. Postal deliveries have been extremely poor...it seems like luck of the draw whether the driver is in the mood to deliver our mail. Mid-week non-holiday...um, maybe we'll get our mail. The final straw was when Amazon decided to use the USPS to deliver our orders. In one week, we didn't receive five orders. On some, the USPS driver claimed we had a reschedule request in...huh?? As a result, they won't deliver them and we have to go to the post office to pick them up. On others, they claimed to have delivered them in our mailbox...except we didn't even receive any mail on those days! OMG it's time to get rid of the postal service and all the lazy federal workers who are basically employed for life, and privatize the whole thing! ADDENDUM: Well, I went to the post office to pick up the four items that they didn't deliver and that I was told I had to go get myself. I was directed around the corner by the guy at the front desk (not so courteously I might add) to find a mini hallway with a closed door at the end. Fortunately there was someone else waiting, staring at the shut door. I asked if we need to ring the bell and she told me she already had, someone answered it, and shut the door again, presumably to go get her package. Ten minutes later, the door opened and she got her stuff. I gave the person my first tracking number, and she shut the door again. Ten minutes later, she opens it and says she cannot find it. She looks at the tracking number again and wrote it down wrong. She corrects it and closes the door again. Another ten minutes pass and she opens the door empty-handed. She says she cannot find any packages for my address. I tell her the USPS told me my packages were being held here and that they wouldn't be delivering them. She says they must have gone out with the carrier and U should go home and wait for them. Well, knowing the incompetence I was dealing with here, I insisted that she look again. She reluctantly closed the door again and disappeared...this time for fifteen minutes. Finally, she opens the door with all four packages! No explanation. Wow! Can't even make this up! read more

Now that there are two machines I am able to get sticky stamps for boxes, or letters, whether priority or regular, or buy stamps, going into the post office here in FM, TX is not a big deal. Before- I dreaded it! You pay with a card. Follow prompts. One is left open to use after hours. I agree customer service has suffered over the years, yet so have the number of allowed workers. I find if for some reason I have to stand in line, I try to be very kind to them and they are usually cheerful, especially if I empathize if they are super busy. But you can avoid this altogether! I'll explain. However, it is an entirely different story as some other Yelpers have mentioned for incoming mail or packages fulfilled by USPS here at home!!!!! Unfortunately, in our neighborhood there exists 3 of our addresses. One on each street. So not only do packages and letters, checks, bills, etc., get dropped at the wrong place, I've waited out at the box and questioned one of the many postmasters since we apparently have no assigned one to our route, and she almost handed me the wrong box to the address she passed just before mine. I bet she'd stuck it in my box if I was not there. To be nice I used to take the mail over to the house close to me. Asked them, an elderly couple, the man at the door who said that oh yes they get a lot of stuff also!!!! I said here is my number. I will come and get it. He said he'd bring it over. Now I realize where my Time CD collection, shoes, set of curtains, etc., I had to reorder all may have went, even though we do get mail from all around the block as well. But both I and his wife have health issues so we need to have proper delivery. We don't go shopping, and I told this to the lady delivering mail nicely. I don't think it made a difference. But I will be very grateful for what I do get appropriately. Now as a result, I place the item in the mailbox with the red flag up and a note stating "wrong address delivery" so they are forced to deal with the consequences. Unless it's checks or important, like the one day. I mean. Open your eyes People!!!! NO one returns anything to me. I just have to let it go and call to do what I can. At www.usps.org You can get a free account and have your "ticket" or stamp of postage printed off your printer, first order boxes from computer from the post office free, like a mixed bundled pack, say for Christmas or if you sell things on eBay or what not, send birthday gifts or just mail letters or larger amounts of paper... follow the prompts, And schedule Free pick ups and never have to enter the post office again. And if you do, order the tape. You may choose to use the machines in the post office to print your stamp and use their boxes or envelopes for priority mail. You are allowed to take some with you. Also you can do all the postage and packaging at home and go in with the boxes/ letters and dump them in the wall receptacle. If it is to large you may set it by the back door and just point to one behind the desk or knock on the door there by the machine and front desk. And leave. Take a pen. And tape. They don't always have either. It helps to buy a tape dispenser and clear rolls of moving/boxing tape in addition to getting tape from th usps that says usps on it. The computer account retains your info from and to addresses so it makes it easy. You will need a small scale and bubble wrap. You can get this on eBay inexpensively in rolls. Or use newspaper. Hey, what can you say....its the United States Postal Service. Love em or hate em, you have to use them. This location is better than most, by a long shot in my opinion. The location is HUGE and has TONS and TONS of PO Boxes to rent. I use a PO Box to get all my mail and can say that the service here is excellent. They have a section of large boxes for you to receive packages in if it does not fit in your PO BOX. They will put a key in your box, and you go over and put the key in the corresponding larger package box and you can get your package any time day or night and NOT have to go to the counter with a little slip of paper and wait in line. For really HUGE items, you will still have to go to the counter, but for most boxes 12x12x12 or less, they will put in these larger boxes. There is 4 stations at the counter for postal workers to help customers, although they are rarely ever fully staffed. The best part of this USPS location is there are 3, yes THREE USPS APC (Automated postal center) machines here on site. SO, even if there is a huge line at the counter, if you go to a APC machine you can get your package shipped and get on with your day in a hurry. One bummer is at night, two of the APC machines are behind the metal security gates, so sometimes you will come in to ship a package at night and actually have to wait in line if someone else is there shipping a bunch of stuff. Rare, yes....but, I wish they'd put all the APC machines where you can easily get to them 24/7. This location also can help you with you passport and has a decent selection of packing and shipping supplies to purchase, plus FREE USPS Priority flat rate shipping boxes. read more

I am shocked that a Texas post office could be a sleazy facility but from reading what some have posted concerning their mail, I now feel like I'm a victim. I sent a 5 by 7 envelope to a friends PO box. that was the end of April. Tracking indicated it had been there May 2 but obviously it never made it into his box! The envelope contained a small item which should not have even tempted one to open it but somehow it's "lost." This operation should be investigated. read more

This is the cleanest, friendliest post office I have been to, and I have been to sooooo many. The staff here is welcoming and attentive. The time of walking in the door and being greeted was almost immediate. I had the pleasure of being assisted by Keva for a variety of services. I'm appalled at the lack of customer service at the windows by always snarling women very rude, the self serve mechines are broken and on the rare occasion that they aren't broken then the parcel drop box is,if I print postage at home and schedule pick up and my regular postman is off that day my packages are left sitting at my door and my mail is in 2 or 3 different neighbors boxes and I don't have any mail or maybe the only mail I have is for the ppl that lived here 5 yrs ago even tho my name is in my brick House mail box in 20 font letters out in front of my home! Normally a decent but very busy post office. My problem started with a missing money order that I mailed from here. I inquired about being able to track it down and the clerk became rude with me in front of other customers, like it was her money that was missing. There was definitely a language barrier there as I couldn't understand her plainly as I was asking about the process of finding my missing money order. She finally gave me something to fill out so that they could do an investigation, and through frustration I walked out with both of my children. The only bright spot is when I went back an employee named Keva was awesome!! read more
