This is probably my favorite post office in Irving. I do fancy a self-service kiosk, but that's okay...they've got plenty of people working here and the lines move quickly. Not to mention, they're also open on Saturdays, when I frequent most...woot woot! They have a desk in the foyer that I like to use to get my stuff together before heading to the line. I feel comfy here and that's swell. The post office workers know what they're doing (even when I don't) and that is helpful, because they save me money. read more

The staff has always been very patient and helpful. They need better facilities. The place is in bad condition with constant repair needs that receive temporary fixes when they need big upgrades. It's always busy and both staff and the community would benefit from an upgrade. read more

Very busy on a Monday at 5pm, but the line went by smoothly. I waited for close to ten minutes before being helped by a clerk. I believe her name was Rashonda. She was efficient and friendly. I'm glad this post office is open till at least 6pm, as it is tough to get items shipped when the office is closed. Downside of this location is there isn't a self-service kiosk outside the office for customers to access when the office is closed. read more

Very rude staff and they discriminate! My sister went to ask if there were any walk-in appointments available for today and they told her that only renewals for the age of 26 and over. So then I decided to go in and they told me that there was no walk-in . These people are very discriminatory and should just say no to all and they really need to update their websites , wasting peoples time. read more

This location has awful customer service. Really ruined my day. They have an employee by the name of "Kimberly" who deals horribly with her customers and in a racist manner, in my experience. I'm not sure if it was because of my dress attire, but she gave me a lot of attitude and even accused me of stealing. I love this postal service strictly because it's open on Saturday! Also, you can have your passport done here too. Picture and all! Yes, it's a long line, you should expect that. People work during the week and everyone is trying to get there on Saturday. Early hours, and line and just be happy. Bring something to keep you entertained. Having lived in Irving for nearly half my life, much of it within spitting distance of this post office, I want to really like this place. It's history. It's an anchor in the otherwise soulless stretch of road known as Irving Boulevard. Hell, my sweet and long-suffering mother-in-law has been a loyal postal worker for years even though they treat her like the worms under dirt, so I feel an almost familial need to like them. And yet. They clearly don't want, need nor care if anyone really does. Certainly not if you're a small business owner. I won't go into all the details as to why I think this station is beyond hope. Suffice it to say that I've had the manager (I believe he's the manager anyway - he certainly made himself out to be one and he acts like one in a slimy, officious, asshole-in-a-cheap-tie kind of way) actually tell me that he couldn't care less about my problem. (The problem being that I couldn't find mail that was supposed to have been in my box.) I've been told bald-faced lies about basic services by a sour-faced bureaucrat with the personality of a dying weed (hello, Sandra!). And once I called (3x) and spoke in person with someone at the counter (4x) about the same incident whereby my postal worker kept ignoring the mail forwarding request I'd submitted after a move. Finally a supervisor at the Central office shrugged her shoulders and said that they really couldn't help me anymore. I realized then that, yes, this is where all hope and spirit go to die. This is where jobs go to undeserving "civil servants" who would rather stab their own mothers' eyes than help you with a simple problem regarding your account. This is where the miracle on 34th street finally exploded in a hail of indifference and entitlement. Abandon all hope, ye who enter here. The days of the post office as a respected local institution - at least in Irving - are over. read more

This is your standard un-renovated post office. The parking lot is in a bit of disrepair and it's in a strip mall ghost town, but it's close to my house and the lines move pretty quickly most of the time, so it's the one I favor. It does get pretty busy at times (especially at lunch time when two thirds of the staff are taking their lunch break too), but if you are mailing something domestic, they have the automated scale/postage kiosk in the lobby which can save some time. A lot of the customers here are immigrants and send stuff overseas, so the staff is up to snuff when it comes to filling out customs forms for international mail. My main regret is that they don't have the customs forms out, so you have to wait in line, find out which form you need, take the form from them and then fill it out. If you don't have other mail for them to process as you address the form, you step to the side while they help other customers and then come back to the same window (without waiting in line). The staff are hit-or-miss on the friendliness level, but I find if I'm smiling and friendly, they usually lighten up. I've even had them weigh packages for me on multiple occasions to see if it's cheaper to mail flat rate or standard priority and they are always very accommodating. Three stars probably seems a little high, but in terms of US Post Offices, it's pretty average, and the people-watching here is prime. read more

Everything that you worry about when dealing with the USPS. The employees are sorry, poor excuses for government employees. Their favorite line "please let me take your number, we'll speak with the carrier and then call you back". My package arrived in Irving, Tx on Mon 22. It is now Thurs 25 and I still have not received my order. There's no reason why it should take a week to get to me from an office located in my same zip code. I call to get help and no one cares, regardless of which one of these low lives I get the end result is still the same... absolute cluelessness. read more

One of my favorite post offices in the area to go to. The staff is suprisingly friendly for post office workers and they are always pretty well organized and process people through quickly. This post office is supposedly open until 6pm. I have been calling from 4pm to 5pm and no one is answering the phone. The reason for my call is that some asshat hit the group mailboxes for my street a week ago. The mailbox stand disappeared a couple days later and I have not been receiving my mail. I had a package in limbo for 3 weeks. Drove up there to try to take care of it - dead end. Called twice one week - no help. Called once a week for next 2 weeks till someone finally told me they sent my package back to sender. The tracking information showed NONE of this and claimed it was being held at the Irving post office. I was so disappointed in the organization skills and customer service. The passport counter lady is very rude. We had gone to apply for passport for our 4 month old baby,as the baby was cranky,we did not want to disturb the other in the lobby.We checked with the counter,they said each appointment was 15 mins.Our token was number 26 and token number 16 was on display board at 11.45am. So, took the baby for a drive.In the mean time, our token number was called and we missed it.we went back at 1pm cause the passport counter timing is upto 3pm.but the lady present at the counter told us that she had closed application process.when we told her that we were still on time, she refused to accept our baby's application at 1pm,cause she wanted to GO HOME.Her reply was rude and inconsiderate. people here are not customer oriented. I stood in line at the non monetary window for 30 minutes before someone finally told me the window was closed. when I told them they need to put the window closed sign up they told me I should have noticed no one at window....really ? my mail comes at 9am some days and 6pm others, a little consistency would be nice. its no wonder usps is losing business with employees like this. stamps do com will be getting the rest of my business, or ups. This has got to be one of the worst post offices ever. Just sat on hold for over 45 minutes between two calls to figure out they don't pick up the phone when you want to file a complaint. This is the 2nd time saying packages have been delivered and they are not. Grant, previous one to this was delivered the next day. The delivery guy hasn't even been by today... how would I know that you might ask, I work from home and not a single pass by him. No wonder they are going out of business. read more

This is the main post office for Irving. It's nothing too special, just your standard post office. The staff can be hit or miss - some employees are rude, some are nice. Lines can get long here at various times, so allow yourself enough time to conduct your transactions. read more

Horrible! Called them early this morning to inquire about getting apassport and was told to get there ASAP, the post office opens at 8:30, they do a maximum of 25 per day and the line was already forming. Arrived at post office at 7:15, got in line. At 8:45 a man came out to say that the "computer" was down which was a bald- faced lie. The truth is that there are two women who work in this department. It was one woman's day off and the other was attending a training session today. No emergency, no ü foreseeable catastrophe...just blatant indifference. Pathetic. read more
