This is a horrible post office. Avoid if possible. I set up a passport appointment but when I arrived two of the three employees went on a 'break'. The worst post office I've EVER been to and I've lived in a few different states. THE most unprofessional, rude, loud mouth employees. I've been here four times and all four times I've been disappointed and upset walking out. "Hey lady I'm talking to u, look at me ! " is what actually came out of one of the employees mouths to an older lady next to me. There was a 7 person line and one of the employees was actually standing there flirting with the guy that was mailing something out for ten mins. Long story short, I was passed around several times to different untrained "employees" and them all saying, "They sent you to ME?" and then some of them would give me a totally different answer to my question than the others! This location is very easy to pop in and out of while running errands. The line usually is long no matter what time of day it is but the staff is very efficient and FAST! They do require your full attention so that they can get you in and out quickly so don't be surprised if you're asked to get off your phone while they are helping you. When you think about it, it is quite rude to be on a call whenever you're interacting with anyone. read more

The service was quick but they were not very friendly. I only waited in line about 10 minutes before being served. I was told I'd have to fill out paperwork to overnight my package but that I could come to the front when I was finished. The staff was not very clear in helping me decide on options for mailing the letters. I could tell the employee did not want to be there. read more

I dont understand why USPS hasn't been privatized yet. There is a package being sent back to the sender because the USPS wasn't able to do there job and deliver it. But the package clearly has a phone number on the box and could have clearly called me and I could have scheduled a pick up. I wish I could give this location 0 stars. I made an appointment for a delivery of my package on Saturday, however they delivered it the following Monday. I work Monday through Friday so needless to say, I was not able to accept this package personally. When I called in to change the deliver of my address the lady on the line told me that would not be possible. When I tried to find out where my package was, she had no clue. When I requested to have the package left by my door, It appeared they returned the package back to sender. Bottom line: The US Post office doesn't care about its clients and should no longer be in business. Is it any wonder that they are going bankrupt? read more

Third visit to this location and each time these people have been helpful and and never did I feel that I was an inconvenience because I have had a huge number of items to mail. Today Jessie was faced with 35 calendars that I needed mailed and she was pleasant with a sunny smile and processed each one quickly. When she was told she needed to take her break she explained to her boss what she was faced with at that moment. ME with 35 calendars. She kicked it up even more. Then there was Johnny who came by to pick up those calendars that had to postage and was encouraging to Jessie. What a team! Johnny welcomed a person at the person working the calendar next to me by name! Image that ....someone that took an interest. Do you get frustrated while waiting at the USPS? Even when I had to wait in line the people that visit this place are nice! Keep up the great work Jessie and Johnny. You made my morning pleasant! read more

Horrible post office I would never go there again..I'm tryin to understand how I give the them 3 cards to send off to the same address and one never made it. Also, when someone sent something to me I never received it. I was told to call them to see if they still have it and their response they put lost mail in the shredder when they get it. WHAT??!! Not to mention that a couple of employees behind the counter have a huge attitude so I would rather drive further to do business at a different brunch all these years, recently, I had a package from overseas with a tracking# showing it was delivered at my front door a week ago. I was at home the entire day that day and no packages was put at my front door. I also learned today, don't even bother to open a case, nobody will contact you and the automatic voice will tell you the case is resolved, and the 800# makes it so difficult to speak to an agent that you will quit wasting time on the phone. read more

I came to get a passport a little over a year ago and had a bad experience. I just went to change my name on my passport and the entire staff had changed. Everyone was friendly and upbeat. I had Monica helping me with my passport and she was AMAZING!!! One of the best customer service experiences I've ever had in general but especially at a post office. I have to say its been a while since I have had great service at the post office... BUT today was such was such exceptional service I thought I would leave a comment. After all it is the holidays.. Ms Smith at this location was great! She was very professional and VERY patient and helpful trying to help me figure out the best way to send my parcel. She acknowledged my concerns and we got it figured out. And even tho I had to step out line to fill out the proper form I didn't mind because she was so pleasant and as soon as I was done she called me right back over after she was done with her customer. Passport application. Why this lady still employed? Did she know someone who let her get away with all the attitudes toward customers? I scheduled the appointment at 12:00 pm and received a confirmation. The appointment required to show up at least 10 minute before. Since I was renewing my daughter's passport, I went to pick her and also ask for an hour leave at work. I showed up 15 minutes before the appointment and wait for another 15 minutes because the post office employee name Lisa was on lunch at the same time as my appointment. She came back 15 minutes late and with an attitude. I told her that I spend 30 minutes waiting for her and ask her if she remembered that she has 12 o' clock appointment. She responded QUOTE"I WAS TAKING MY LUNCH, IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THAT GO TALK TO MY SUPERVISOR". I couldn't believe this and went ahead and talked to the supervisor who looked tired and scared to react. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS PLACE?. These black women own the place or what. (by the way, I am black). This not the first time. If I have a package, I always wait until I get the nice old Asian guy. This time I did not have a choice since I did not know who was taking care of passport. I am about to file for petition to fire Lisa the rude, short with blondie hair. After seeing lotta negative vibes for this location, I would actually like to mention that there is at-least 1 Sparkling Star @ this location: DONNA! I recently had DONNA help me at the separate counter on side of the main counters and she was extremely friendly and polite. She made me feel like a friend rather than a regular customer and these small things sometimes make a difference sometimes from the way customers think. I was very impressed with DONNA's work ethic and her customer handling skills and would like to give her 4 and Half out of 5 Stars for the customer Service. Just left the MacArthur, Irving, TX P.O.. 1st I called & asked the Lady did they have any Priority Mail Shoe Boxes. She puts me on hold for about 5min, comes back on the line & say yes we have plenty. I get excited, drive over there & the same lady, same voice, tells me they don't have any. I will have to order online. So, I say several times, before she answers the question: Is this the only P.O. on MacArthur, she finally says as far as she knows. SMH!! Why lie!! Wasted my gas, time & energy to drive way over there. I ask for a Supervisor. She says she is the Supervisor. I politely, just walk away. There's one thing being not helpful and there's another being OUTRIGHT RUDE. I had my infant daughter in for her passport, her eyes were closed in the picture. As per the US govt passport website, an infant's eyes can be partially or fully closed. This lady wouldn't even look at this updated information on the website and kept showing me an outdated handbook she had. She waltzed in 5 minutes late and all she kept saying was "you have 15 minutes, wake your baby up if you want a picture clicked, I ain't even looking at your application and I ain't falling behind today" I understand rules and regulations but I don't appreciate unnecessary attitude especially at 10am on a Monday morning!! Hey I had to skip work too and all I wanted was "Let me take a look at the updated information. Okay I can't do much here because I have to go by what I have and not by what's on the website". So yea I'm not gonna go back to this place for my daughter's passport or anything else to take a shi^load of unnecessary atttiude from grumpy employees. read more

I was in this post office at 8:45am yesterday shortly after it opened. There were only a few other customers. The service was polite, prompt and helpful. I had to return at around 11:30am and since it was a Saturday this was a half hour before closing time. Swarms of people were there trying to get their last minute letters and packages mailed. The staff was working as efficiently as possible as the line continued to grow. One postal worker was going down the line making sure that people had everything that they needed so once they arrived at the window their transactions would go as smoothly as possible. She was acquiring pens, paper clips, etc. for people and running around to make sure that things went smoothly. Meanwhile, there were complainers ahead of me making rude and unnecessary comments. All I could think about was how lucky these people were. They seemed to have no idea how lucky we are to have a generally efficient and well run post office in this country. These postal workers did a GREAT JOB on a typical day when people arrive at the last minute without properly addressing, return addressing or packaging their materials. I'll never go to this post office again. I've mailed packages from here about 12-15 times bc it's close to my home. But I've realized now that it's worth it to drive to one that's further away. (What another reviewer said about 'dying a little each time she comes here' is right.). Workers here are astoundingly awful; rude, inconsiderate, they are more interested in "hootin' it up" with their co-workers than actually doing their job. The other day I asked the lady w the red reading glasses what to do if USPS loses a certified letter (bc a cert ltr I sent to NC hasn't been delivered in over a week). She turns to her coworker and says "USPS doesn't ever lose mail...right!?" And then they both laughed like that was about the funniest thing ever. Then they commented to each other about how this last hour of work, before the weekend started, was going so slow, etc., and just ignored me. I asked again and reading glasses gets up and walks to the back like I'm a ghost. Stuff like this happens to customers every time I'm in there -- I guess it was my turn. Not just a bad business here, bad people. Shame on them and on USPS Mgt. I can't believe after years of awful reviews of these employees that USPS Mgt. hasn't made changes. Wake up USPS!!! read more

This branch of the USPS is one of the worst... if not THE worst. The postal employees at this branch make it very clear to patrons in their actions (or lack thereof) that they are government employees so they are entitled to act surly and to move slow and shiftlessly. After waiting inline for a half hour to simply pay for a box and roll of packing tape I was informed that the return I was shipping with a label I paid for and printed from eBay needed to be packed in a smaller box... except they didn't have a smaller box that would fit the item. I was told to go find "the right box" (whatever that was, I have no clue since she didn't elaborate). I wasn't going to look through their postal supply retail area because it was torn up with stuff strewn everywhere and tons of stuff in the wrong spots or simply not available. If would have had it in me to guess which box I needed then actually find it, I would then had to have started all the way at the back of the line again. I feel worse for the regular patrons of this postal facility, many are Indian / Middle Eastern immigrants so English is not many of these folks' first language... the nasty attitude postal clerks play the "I don't understand" game with them rather than try to efficiently help them through the language barrier. After being told to go "find the right box" and the smallest one I had used was the smallest they had, I said "F**k this!" (hopefully not out loud) and just went across the highway to FedEx Office where someone re-packed it for me and I was in, paid, and out in about 7 minutes. I'd have rather paid the extra $5 upfront at FedEx than had the pleasure of dealing with the absolute idiots who work at the Valley Ranch US Post Office. read more

Worse service ever! Attempted to process my sons passport. First Lisa told us we couldn't put the car seat on the counter. Ok. Then we could only use debit check money order to process. ok. I said debit. She attempted to use money order. Um no you are not charging me for money order when I said debit. Then before she took the application I asked to see the birth certificate to take a picture of it for other travel purposes. She said no because it belongs to the government now after process. She had it in her possession the whole time when could I have gotten it from her? She said "if we had listened to instructions...". The only instructions you gave us were NONE!!!! We gave her the required documents and she processed the payment. No instructions whatsoever. We talked to Debbie the supervisor for a refund, she said no, those are the rules. We were not given verbal instructions or rules or even signed to acknowledge of any!!! This establishment is supervised by incompetent inconsiderate people!!! Please never use this location in hopes it shuts down for future use of better utilization of land! I'd rather pay more money to ups fed ex, a snail for better service! read more

I can't even rate this post office. The employees are rude and scowling . Please hire new people. Avoid this site and chose another post office. It will be worth the drive. The reception I received from the employee behind the desk as soon as I arrived..."line starts over there." No good morning , no how are you. I asked about stamps since in the past I was able to go to the desk she was at to just purchase stamps. The employee repeated, " line starts there. " She never looked up at me or acknowledged my request. Again I repeated, " Am I no longer able to just purchase stamps. I do not have a package." i can't really add much more than what has been said. Horribly long lines, staff that are in no hurry to assist and rude when you finally make it to the front of the line. I've witnessed more than a few meltdowns with customers who have had it with the crappy attitude. I get that these are government employees but it's our tax dollars that pay their wage. A smile and greeting shouldn't be too much to ask especially when you've been standing in line for a ridiculous amount of time. Luckily this seems to be an outlier. Terrible customer service. "Yada or Yolanda" Smith and Billie Harris are rude and berate customers in front of other customers. I actually will see about filing a formal complaint with the US Post office as they "bully" their customers and have a "hostile" attitude. Today, I had stopped by to drop off my prepostaged "priority envelope". Once inside, I noticed that the drop off self-drop off door was stuck and would not allow me to drop anything off. Therefore I went in line to have it handed to the the clerk. Meanwhile, another female customer who was having the same problem approached Yada informed her about her difficulties and inquired about what she should do. Yada Smith in a very rude and berating manner pointed a sign above and told her look at the sign above. When the customer asked her if she could leave the package, she told her read the sign in a very "hostile" manner. I was very offended by the way she treated this poor female customer who was simply just asking a question. The female customer left and I was called to the Yada Smith's window. She asked me what I needed and I proceeded to tell her that I was also having the same problem as the previous customer and asked if she could scan my package for me and provide me with a printed receipt. She once again asked "so you want me to scan this for you", and I responded by saying "yes" and then she murmured "whatever". At this point, I told her that she was in a customer service field and that is not a proper way talking to a customer and insulting me. At that point, she handed me back my package and she said "then you can take your package and go to another window" and i will have nothing to do with you. i then asked if I could talk to a supervisor and she pointed me to a door that had a bell. I rang the bell several times and I could hear people saying "we are busy" but finally "Bille Harris" came out and I asked her if she was the supervisor. She said no and stated in a very hostile voice "what do you want"? I repeated that I would like to speak to a supervisor and she continued to tell me that the supervisor was not available and walked away. Then another elderly African American gentleman came to the window and asked me what I wanted once again in a very hostile voice. I once again asked if I could speak to a supervisor and he flat out told me "NO" and that everyone is busy. I explained to him that I need to file a complaint and he responded by saying "you can go to the web site and file a complaint with the US Post Office". Meanwhile, a younger African American female employee overhearing what was going on asked me if she could help. I asked if I could speak to her in private and I explained my entire experience to her. Please note that while I was waiting after I rang the door bell, 3 other customers (2 younger females and an elderly female customer) also stated that this particular post office employees are all belligerent and it has been like this for a long time. I also would like to point out that the last younger African American employee was extremely nice, helpful and apologetic for these other employees. I feel sorry for her having to work with these other rude employees on a daily basis. Finally, I did not feel comfortable leaving my package at the post office thinking that Yada Smith or Bille Harris may damage my package or somehow lose it, and I left this post office and will never return as long they allow their employees to be rude to customers. If they hate their job, and they are in a customer service business, then they need to go find something that does not involve human interaction. I would hope that someone at the post office would open up an investigation in to this post office location and either retrain these employees and clarify the proper and accepted way of dealing with customers, or find employees who actually want to work there and provide service to customers that customers deserve. read more

First of all let me say, The United States Postal Service in general offers completely horrible service. This particular location is an extension of that brand. They combine their federal postal worker entitled attitude with rude customer service.
