My grievance isn't with my mail carrier, she's amazing! It's with the upper management at this location. They lack professionalism. Whenever I submit a concern pertaining to my mail being delayed or not delivered(in regard to online misinformation and/or miscommunication), I'm greeted with passive aggressiveness. This is now the third time I go here for standard USPS services and am told to go the Bellaire. Today I wanted a money order and a prepaid flat rate priority envelope. She told me they were out of money orders I should go to Krogers. Out of money orders, really?! As for the envelope I was holding well she said she didn't have the stamps. Recommended I go to Bellaire. Did I mention not a single pen in the place. I drive to Bellaire, they not only had pens but every service I needed. They might as well just shut down the Chimney Rock location you can't get anything done there. The entire place looks unkept and the staff couldn't care less. read more

The mail carrier has took it upon him/herself to not deliver mail on Saturdays. We had called about it before and she just said "But you guys are closed, I didn't think you wanted mail". Seriously. She took it up on herself to decided we had to be open in order to get checks and other mail we need. Now we don't even get mail except for 2 or 3 times a week. No wonder USPS is always in the red. read more

Awful service and general disregard for human decency. I never leave reviews, especially negative notes. However I wish I had been forewarned about this place. This post office hosts a passport service which you must schedule an appointment time far in advance. When we arrived the one assigned passport service employee was on his "15 minute break". The break lasted 60 minutes. Ok, no problem, sometimes this happens. Perhaps a lunch break instead, we thought. Upon return to his desk he processed 1 of the 2 families waiting ahead of us. Then he took charge of incoming mail service line while his coworker went to lunch. Without any heads up, he proceeded to work on the mail line. So we stood in this line, hoping for service. He insisted passport appointments wait at the side of the store, away from the mail service line. When we (3 separate families) pressed with our appointment time questions he asked us to "please make complaints to manager behind the package pick up door". We waited an additional 1.25 hours for his coworker to return from her lunch so he could return to passport services. At that point he closed his station and walked to the back of the building. 15 minutes later, The manager told us he went to lunch. So in the 2.5 hours at the post office 1 passport appointment was addressed. We left at that point without passport business resolved to tend to my small children's needs. I will never return to this office. It's really sad that the neighborhood post office is falling apart. We could have left this poorly staffed place without feelings of disregard and upset if the manager chose to use basic communication. A sign to notify people their services are delayed or please be patient... something. Side notes: The conditions the office is running are poor regarding COVID concerns. Some employees behind desk didn't wear masks. At least 40 people were out building waiting to be serviced. 12 were the passport appointment holders. read more

This location is hit or miss, as are all USPS locations in and around Houston. Sometimes the lines are long and you'll end up on the receiving end of crappy customer service. Pass your time waiting by people watching or playing on your phone.....There are always interesting looking people coming in and out! read more

I like the self service kiosk. Though your package has to be able to fit through the receiver drawer thing. Otherwise you need to go to the counter. Usually there is a line. :(. I have my favorite counter people: the Asian gentleman, Tony and Margaret. She has a smile that lights up the place. I really don't know the other workers as well. This post office though is also my delivery to my home. I've been in my home 14 years. And in the last year I've had some terrible delivery issues. 13 years great. The lady on the line asked me to be patient, because normally they mistreat latinos and white people. That is so wrong ! USPS locations in Houston are definitely hit or miss, but this location on Chimney Rock has very friendly employees who have been super helpful to me on many occasions. Once, I realized after leaving that the receipt was blurry and I couldn't read the tracking number for a package I sent. I went back a few hours later and the employee who helped me (I think his name was George), came off his lunch break a few minutes early to look up and reprint my receipt for me! Now that's customer service! Their package drop-off box sometimes gets stuck, so you have to drop your package at the counter instead, which is the only reason I took a star off. The employees at this location work quickly and efficiently and a long line never has too long of a wait in my experience. read more

I sent a priority express package on a Friday with the front desk clerk at this location. I was told that the package would guarantee delivery the next day at 12 noon Saturday. I was given a tracking number to keep track of the shipping movement of the package. On Saturday I checked the tracking number and it only shows that this postal office accepted it. There are no updates or anything related to the status. I returned to the office to get a status that same Saturday. The worker at the window really wasn't interested in helping me. She said she spoke to her supervisor who claims, their tracking system was down and to just keep checking on it yourself. She never attempted to contact another office to see if anyone else could assist. Found out from a friend that works for the postal service, that this station never shipped the package until the day it should have arrived. The package didn't arrive until late Monday. I will never use this office again. I will file a claim for this shipment for a refund. My suggestion is to avoid this office at all costs if you need important items shipped quickly. It's best ship with FEDEX, UPS or DHL. read more

Our mail delivery person delivers the mail at 10:00 at night every day, so, we will all be asleep while thinking about our mail getting stolen. Speaking of stolen mail, I send letters out, and I will ask the person that I sent it to, to see if they got it, and it will have been several months since I sent it, and they said that they didn't get it. The employees steal your mail, looking in the envelopes for checks, gift cards, and cash. I you live in this area, I would suggest sending your mail from the post office in bellair near the baskin robbins. I don't suggest using this post office EVER! read more

!!!Last time I checked mail carriers are paid to deliver mail.!!! Not to complain about the hot weather and decide on not making deliveries and making us go to the post office to pick it up. You literally choose that job nobody forced you into it you knew what you were getting yourself into when you were filling out the application form. I am very pleased with this post office. First of all, it's super clean (I have this thing about places being clean) very organized and the people who work there are very helpful and friendly. I was sending my mother and my cousin early Christmas gifts so I decided to do the $12.36 flat rate box.... Everything that needed be send fit perfectly in a medium sized box. Since it was my first time actually mailing something in a box the lady was very helpful and told me how to do things correctly. She was awesome. I will be returning to this post office. read more

I've never left a Yelp review but wow I took the time to download the app and leave a comment. Worst customer service I have ever received. I not only waited in line for 40 min but when I got to the front I dealt with the worst attitude I have ever seen. She had an attitude I was delivering packages to Canada and said they would "take a while to input". (Obviously I had several packages) they closed the part of the post office early where u can buy labels packages etc so I didn't have a label for my box. I asked if she had a scrap piece of paper to put the sender/receivers addresses this lady literally said and I quote, "Im not going to go out of my way for you I am trying to leave it's almost 5 o clock sorry we all have places to be" literally in that time she could have grabbed a piece of paper that was beside her that I could use as a label. A WHOLE JOKE. I had to find a piece of paper that was tossed on the ground (which looked like it hadn't been cleaned EVER btw.) Where do they find these people to hire. As a health care provider customer service is very important to me and this was beyond and I mean beyond sub-par. read more

This is the most ridiculous experience I've ever had, anywhere. I've been coming to this location for months dropping off packages (in the correct USPS boxes). Today, I came into the store to drop off 5 packages, which is a normal amount for me. Whatever the Chinese lady name is here came right up to me telling me that each and every single one of my packages are wrong, and that I would have to buy the correct package and then proceeded to just walk away laughing saying "while I'm working here I will never ship your packages or else I'll send them right back to you. Your choice." I'm extremely confused at this point because I've been coming here for months and even though the employees don't give a shit about being nice, I've never had one be this awful. Avoid this post office. I never post reviews but this needed to be said because I was so shocked at the way she handled things/walked away from me. Horrible person. read more

I had a packaged sent to my PO Box. Well they left the notice in the wrong box number and someone else ended up with my dress. When I spoke to Evil-lyn who answered the pick up window she told me that most people bring back mail that doesn't belong to them. Um it was a brand new Ralph Lauren Dress and it was never returned. Since the PO marked it as delivered I was not able to get a refund. The postal system needs to be privatized. read more

But minus one star for that tall creepy guy who was up in my space while I was trying to use the automatic machine. Minus a half a star when I told him to please back up and he didn't.
