The worst experience ever getting a passport. The shrew who does them at this location is miserable. We waited for hours to be told come back tomorrow. We got there the next day an hour early and finally were able to be seen after two hours waiting. She wouldn't do out passports even though we had documentation asked for on web site. Uncooperative agent who is just miserable. I finally ended up going to courthouse and had a quick pleasurable experience. Do not go here . Go to courthouse. You will not regret it. read more

This post office is located on Ray Road between Higley and Recker. It is a small post office with most of the postal services you would need. There are no automated services. The staff is friendly and helpful. There are plenty of P.O. Boxes and the building is open 24/7 to access the boxes. read more

The post office...... I always approach these places with extreme caution and prejudice (It's a military term). Not because the patriots that frequent these establishments are questionable but after dealing with the employees, it's quite possible their behaviors have been altered. But the most important reason is because the employees are typically so disgruntled I worry one of them loose cannons might go off one day and turn this place into Chucky cheese shooting arena. ... Hold your breath - here we go! This post office is a quaint little location, decorated with a rustic hillbilly look. Quite small but it serves it's purpose. They have PO boxes, three tellers and they process passports, at least that's what it says on the door. Fortunately for me I passed up Mr. ray of sunshine while filling out my package info. The gentleman who I like going front of me, was getting read the riot act from Mr. sarcasm with every comment he made. That's the guy I was warning you about previously, he's either going to go crazy one day or cause someone to go crazy, your pick. So now it's my turn, and I draw window # 1. A nice sweet older lady who had nothing but awesomeness bestowed in her. She made my purchase simple and painless. Part of me wishes that I could've stayed longer to enjoy an episode of Jerry Springer with Mr. sarcasm but, the other half of me knows that my patients wouldn't be able to withstand his excitement for life too long. A facility that still conveys the feeling and image of the small blip on the map Higley used to be before being consumed by the ever growing town of Gilbert. Every time I've been here the counter has been staffed by what I'm guessing to be USPS veterans, I've never had a question they couldn't answer and I've done some tricky shipping all over the world. While the building is modern, you do get a bit of a sense of a throw-back to a simpler time, which isn't a bad thing. read more

They should be voted post office of the year if there's such a thing. I've been here 3 times now and can safely say that the customer service is efficient, friendly and very helpful. More importantly it is consistently so, from what I've experienced. Previous US post offices I've been to in the past have been a dreaded experience - not this one! read more

Not only do I live behind this Post Office which makes it real convenient, every time I go there, no matter who waits on me, I'm greeted with a smiling face which always includes excellent customer service! All 4-5 employees that work the front area have a great personality, they're extremely helpful in finding ways to make sure you've chosen the most cost effective way to ship your packages. A few of them manage to make me laugh each time I go in there! It's obvious they all like their jobs, as they treat their customers as so. I first starting coming here in 2007, right as I bought my home in Higley Park. It's literally 2 blocks from my house. When Higley eliminated some zip codes and Gilbert took over those customers, MANY OF US were disappointed. All it took was ONE experience walking into the Gilbert Post Office on Val Vista and I swore I'd never go back! Even their mail carriers continually leave a bad taste in our mouth! Tossing packages from their vehicles up onto our driveways and writing messages to our community with a black magic marker on our mailboxes? ZERO respect! For anyone who isn't conveniently located near this post office, it's worth the extra couple miles and your time. I promise! read more

I'm giving this 1 star to the tall big guy behind the counter. Here's what happened.... I just had a simple question. "Can you please help me and find out what happened to my mail from last week? I checked my mail last Friday and there was none in my mailbox." See, my family and I just moved from CA and I had my mail forwarded to my new address here in AZ on June 6th. When my husband checked Friday that week, the mailbox was empty. So I was curious what had happened to them. Moving on, he then said that today was Thursday already (the following week) and told me in a rude manner, "All I know is you have to check your mail every now and then." and laughed. I was shocked from his response. He followed with, "I'm confused. Are you confused? Do you get me?" I was furious now and tried to keep my cool. I told him that no, I wasn't confused. My question was what happened to my mail from Monday-Friday last week, i told him. He laughed and then said, "Well it takes 7-10 days for the mail to be forwarded." After he said that, I told him with a higher tone in my voice that that was the answer I was looking for. I left feeling mad and when I got to my car, I wished I had told him after he said he was confused and all is "I am not confused. All I know is you are a rude man and unprofessional." My wife and I went into the store with two small items to ship and were looking around trying different packages to see what would be best... after a few minutes, Randy noticed that we couldn't make up our mind and kindly told us to wait a few minutes and he'll help us after he finished up with his current customer. Randy did just that, he was so friendly despite the long line. He was quick yet he made sure my wife and I felt confident our packages would be safe through the international travels. read more
