Meh. Nobody loves going to the post office, do they? I never seem to have a great experience there, but it's a necessary evil. On my most recent visit, the self service kiosk wasn't working, so I had to stand in line to mail my letter. While I arrived prior to 5pm, I experienced the employees being very rude to folks who arrived just after 5. While I understand that the line has to be cut off, a little customer service and niceness goes a long way. Instead of yelling "WE'RE CLOSED" and making hand gestures, they could have put a sign on the door or nicely said that they are closed and to come back another time. Just my two cents! read more

Didn't pick up my package again. Confirmed pickup but didn't pick up. WEC770490008 There's just really no way to get any answers. I tried doing a chat today, and the virtual agent never even responded. I called the branch and nobody has ever answered the phone. I have called their 800 number and nobody can tell me anything. I have filed inquiries online and have gotten no answers. I go to the branch in person and nobody can tell me anything. Spoke with a manager once in person there and she didn't seem to be at all concerned or apologetic. The clerk I spoke with on Thursday at least apologized for the fact that I had to bring the package to the post office because it was not picked up Wednesday despite USPS confirming that it was. This is a complaint about the letter carriers from this Regency office. There is a big turnover for my route and the service is increasingly worse. Problem is either poor training and/or manager never fixes the problem when I complain! Carriers are now just throwing mail, prescriptions, etc. on the uncovered porch and not putting mail in the mail slot. Sp lazy and unprofessional. Also, blocking street traffic by not pulling to the side to deliver packages. read more

Usually this PO is efficient, but understaffed. However, I have a package enroute that arrived at the Sandston Distribution Center on 3/7/26 at 1:33 am enroute to my PO Box at Regency Branch and as of 3/12/26 pm still no notification has been placed in my box. The last tracking information said it was out for distribution to final destination. Where is my package. read more

Everyone may have a different experience here, but this post office is the best in the area. In terms of how efficiently packages are distributed and processed, this location has a 10/10 rating. Everything continues to go smoothly for me and being to all the other offices in the area, this one's the cleanest and marks best. Phone message says this location has walk-in passport renewal without an appointment, but they do not. We mentioned that their phone message says that they do, and they might want to look at having that changed. The office's response was that the phone says that, but they do not. Okay, how can we schedule an appointment when it is not available online? They told us the only way to schedule is with the in-office kiosk. The in-office kiosk states that the service is unavailable on the kiosk. Unhelpful and unfriendly staff eventually told us to go somewhere else. read more

They sent my package to the destination city then returned it. Said the address was incomplete. It wasn't, someone wrote the unit (we put it in the system anyway, it's not like you can write it wrong, you have to select preprogrammed valid addresses). Anyway this person is in their system and the unit was on the package. It got delivered back to us. We took it in and she said it was an Amazon package. It's in a fucking USPS box and we mailed it ourselves. Gave up because they clearly hire people without cognitive function. Waste of money, refused to admit error and told us to repay. We mailed it over a week before Christmas and got no notification there was a problem! Could've been solved with a quick text, call, or email. Idiotic read more

Got my passport. Very efficient and very quick to get all the steps completed. Made the process very easy.

If there is less than zero they will get that, we took our kid for passport renewal. The lady who work with us rude disrespectful and belittling, no greeting or any kind of slandered public services. I whispered to my husband and the kid to stay calm and quite to get our papers done. She kept looking in the application and trying to find error on it. after that she pointed to the line in the application to request the ID, she don't want to talk to us. At this point I felt this need to be reported but I didn't no who will address that since it's happing to everyone in line/ rude . She kept asking my daughter and my husband to step aside as we make it crowded for her and the passport required from three of us to be there for the appointment. I will try my best to get my voice some where to their management. read more

First of all, I love mail! I love writing correspondence like the ladies you see in Jane Austen movies. I love giving and receiving snail mail! I don't even mind junk mail! I love to use fun, pretty stamps instead of plain old flag stamps. So, because of my love affair with letter writing, mail and stamps, I use the post offices in Richmond a lot! And I ship quite a few packages too! This post office is average...it's always busy, lines are usually long, but the wait isn't excruciating. They are typically well stocked in their self serve center. It's tidy, as most post offices are. The clerks are basically just doing their job, not overly friendly or curt... just average... This is my go to P.O. since it's close, but sometimes I go out of my way to go to the one on Glenburnie or Chamberlayne because the folks are actually pleasant and seem like they enjoy working with the public. Beware of the automated drop off chute, it's often jammed! When that happens, I really get "P.O.ed"! I turn around, shake my head, mildly muttering to myself "shoot, shoot!" And some other colorful language, then keep moving to another P.O.! Update on 1/14/19: I just went to the dentist and got my teeth cleaned quicker than it took this line to go by and the dentist was much more pleasant! The lady behind the counter, was not only slow as molasses, the only one minding the store, but she clearly hates her job. read more

This is by far one of the worst post offices I've ever experienced. Every single time I've gone to mail an item or pick up packages in the past two years, the lines have been very long and slow and the staff has been incredibly rude and outright hostile towards customers (often yelling at people or speaking to them in condescending/belittling ways). In my latest negative experience, I needed to mail a package containing a laptop. The woman at the counter informed me that my package needed to have a lithium ion battery label on it in order to ship it however, I did not have one of those labels, so I asked her if they had any on hand. She told me no, that I needed to go find one online and print it out and tape it on the box myself. I tried to explain (as she continued speaking over me) that I don't have access to a printer, so I had no way of printing a label from online. She told me "that's too bad, figure it out. I can't do anything for you." I have a very hard time believing that the post office of all places wouldn't have these labels considering they always ask people if they're shipping liquids, batteries, etc. when dealing with packages.... After waiting in line for 45 minutes, I was very frustrated and fed up with the post office. I drove right over to the UPS store in Innsbrook and asked if they had the label I needed; the employee helping me pulled one out, taped it on the box and told me I was good to go. I was in and out in 3 minutes. TL;DR - Save yourself time and frustration by just going to the UPS store to drop off your packages if they're pre-labeled. They actually know what customer service is, unlike the post office. read more

My family had a group of 4 passports made, photos were take, photocopies made, and paperwork completed and submitted. The staff, esp the lady who helped us was helpfulness and professional. We were in and out with 35 minutes which is faster than our appointment time noted. read more

My mom ordered a 3d printed Melanie Martinez mask last Friday and It says its in Virginia yesterday. I don't even know if the post office has it or not bc I've been waiting for 4 days for the mask to come. This is used to be the go to post office because the service was so quick and the reps were very nice. This post office location has one worker behind the counter with long lines. The self service machine isn't always working but I'd recommend bringing your credit or debit card to use. When coming to this location pack your patience and hurry up and wait. read more

No matter what time of day you go, this post office is always super busy. However the staff is super helpful and really nice which makes the wait not too bad. So if you need help figuring out how to mail something, it's great. But if you need to be in & out, try another branch. read more

Yelp really wants me to review this post office. I did take the picture (sorry about the raindrops). I love this post office because it's open 24/7. There aren't people there the whole time, but there's one of those automated things that lets you ship things yourself. It makes me happy, even if I worry about being killed while shipping at 2AM. read more

This is my go to post office on Saturdays! Their hours are 9.30am til 1.30pm. I think they may be the only post office to be open on a weekend in roughly a 15 mile radius that has employees working the front desk. If you need to ship/pack a item, mail something, or check the status of an item they're here to help. I've never encountered any problems shipping things domestically and all the employees are fast and efficient. The lines can get backed up on Saturdays though so be prepared to wait in line up to 25 minutes. read more

As much as I could try to write a creative review about the Post Office, pepper in some comedy, and present it to all you fellow Yelpers, I think I'll just keep this one short. This post office is one of the nicer and faster post offices I've been to. I've been here a couple times, once during a fairly busy part of a weekday and once in the morning on a Saturday. (This location is open Saturdays!). Both times the employees seemed nice and helpful. One of the things I like is that there is a room that allows you to box up things using Flat Rate Priority mail that is disjoint from the actual main area with the staff, so you can go at your own pace. There's even a self service box, but honestly I'm not sure how it works. It just so happens that this post office is closest to my place of residence too, but in all honesty it's one of the nicer ones I've been to. One small picky thing is that there aren't any pens laying around or chained in the self service room, so having one handy will prove helpful. read more

I keep complaining about my carrier(s) and nothing changes. I had the best carrier for over 10 years, he retired. Now the carriers change every 4-5 months and none are trained correctly. They won't use rubber bands to keep the mail together, won't leave it in the slot. They keep pushing it through the slot so it goes all over the rug. My last magazine had the first 70 pages sliced. Only abuse from improper handling does that. read more

Rude!!! I asked the woman at the counter for a roll of tape for a package I was dropping off, and I have never had the biggest attitude from anyone at a post office ever. While I understood she was helping another costumer she made no effort to hide her annoyance, took her sweet time handing me the roll. I taped my box and placed it back on the counter in the corner as not to disturb her from her "real" costumers. As I was walking out she then stops the costumer she's currently helping to yell across the office and scold me for not placing the tape roll directly back in her hand. How childish!!!! If you work in costumer service then you should probably have some social skills. Disrespectful and blatantly rude. Will NOT be coming to this branch again bc I refuse to be treated like a child over a tape roll. Get a grip lady!!! read more

Worst ever, they don't answer the phone. They put they delivered my package in my mailbox and never delivered my packaged.

Went to mail a package for my elderly mother. The zip code was incorrect on the package. I had the correct zip code in my phone but the clerk Sang would not let me change it and asked me to step to the side without even offering me so much as a pen. The woman who appeared to be a supervisor was incredible rude as well. She asked if anyone was shipping flat rate and nobody answered. When a man who was clearly from another country and might not have been well versed in the English language came up after patiently waiting his turn she sucked her teeth and began to berate him in front of everyone. There's something seriously wrong with these people and they all need to be retrained. On my way out I noticed a self service station. They need to add 10 more stations and get rid of every last employee at this location read more

This is the worst post office I've ever been to in my life, ordered a package and the tracking number said it was delivered when it wasn't, called the post office and the automated phone service said it was there, went to pick it up, gave them my address and they couldn't find it, gave them the tracking number and they still couldn't find it. Then the manager tries to call the mailman that "delivered" it and he doesn't answer his phone. Unbelievable. Looks like I will have to get heathmate to re ship my order. read more

The staff doesn't have enough training. Or they are just plain dumb. Mailbox key at our apartment just stopped working 2-3 weeks ago. My wife went there to ask what happened. They said its probably some letter stuck in the key and that they would go check. They said they would call back. We kept checking everyday and it still didn't work. So, my wife called them again yesterday. Turns out they switched out our lock my mistake. OK. I won't complain still at this point. Mistakes happens.. No big deal. But, then, when my wife went there to pick up the keys, they were trying to charge her $15 because they had to put in new lock in the mailbox. My wife explained her that it was their mistake switching out our lock. She keep insisting that we still have to pay $15 if we don't have the receipt from when we got the mailbox. My wife loled and asked to talk to the supervisor. They finally get to their senses and didn't charge $15. 1 star for some dumbness. read more
