Spacious library with lots of study areas and stunning outdoor seating/ views. Natural light pours in the high windows, despite the fog today. Could definitely see myself sitting out on the vast cobblestone patios in warmer weather. Exceptionally clean facility, probably new construction judging by the building design. Really charming children's area on the first floor. Heading upstairs, the layout is ideal for finding a quiet corner as a reading cubby or staying centrally located for human interaction. There are many different seating arrangements from enclosed study rooms to open computer labs, with cozy chairs, firm rollers chairs, and even Prussia style couches in sectional spaces. The drink & snack vending machines are a nice option although the surrounding area seems to offer a vast array of dining options.

For Library week I want to give my local Henrico County Library Libbie Mill location some love. The Libbie Mill branch is STUNNING! 3 stories with big windows letting in tons of light and offering great views of the lake. They have a great collection of books in addition to some nice amenties: * Digital Media Lab * Lots of public-use computers and devices * Printing and copying...including 3D printing * Conference rooms and study rooms * Lots of light due to large windows * Book returns accepted 24/7 * There's a drive up return AND pick up window too * Storytime for kids

This is a clean, sleek, modern, and well organized library. Located in the Libbie Mill shopping center between West Broad Street and Staples Mill, it's convenient and had its own large parking lot and is handicap accessible. There is a book return box inside the main doors before entering the lobby, so even if the library is closed you can still drop off your books before their due date. Inside there are both automated check out kiosks and service desks where staff can assist you. The first floor has a children's section and the second floor has public computers, study spaces, and all other genres of books. The selection is more limited than other branches of the Henrico Public Libraries, so I would recommend checking their online catalogue before visiting if there's a particular book you want. I do wish there were more computers or tablets dedicated to searching the catalogue on site so that you don't need to log in to a desktop.

Libbie Mill is one of the best libraries I've been to. Great for kids with reading and play rooms. Great for studying with desks on each floor. Team meetings work well there too with breakout rooms you can reserve. Overall definitely a 5 star.

This is a new and beautifully modern library. The library has elegant, peaceful spaces for everyone. There are sections for children, teens and adults. There is also a media center. There are very nice study/work areas with different types of seating and some have outlets. Behind the library is the Libbie Mill Pier and Deck. It's a relaxing area with different seating areas including benches, tables, and swings. This is now one of my favorite libraries.

It's…read morenice because it's outside of downtown so not as busy and there's a parking lot which is a major plus. It's small though and there's only one area where you can sit and do work which feels up fast. However if you get there before it gets too busy then you're set. I'd come back though again.

It's right on Westover Hills Blvd. near Devonshire rd. ***EXPERIENCE*** I always have a good experience here. It's an easy spot to walk or bike to. They have a good amount of bike lock space and a little parking lot behind it. The librarians who work here are very kind and helpful. It's a smaller library, but has most of the good stuff (at least in regards to what I'm trying to read). Like all libraries, you can put a book on hold or have a book sent to this library if it's not at this location. They have computers for their online catalog. They also have quite a few computers you can log into for personal use. This library is a great spot to get some work done or (surprise) read a book. I love all the natural lighting that spills into this space. ***PRICE*** It's free! It's a library. If no one has a hold on the book you're borrowing it'll automatically renew. ***BATHROOM*** There are single all gendered stalls you can use that are clean. ***CONCLUSION*** I love this library for its librarians, its space, and its books!

It was usually…read moreopen 24 hours a day back when I was a student, and I watched many sunrises and sunsets from the second floor silent section. There are two basement levels with reference sections, the ground floor, and the second floor up the dramatic lobby staircase. In the entrance to the building is a small coffee shop called 8:15, originally named after the earliest classes offered at UR (although now classes begin at 7:30). It has Starbucks coffee products, pastries, and some other small snack items for sale. They accept cash, card, and UR dining dollars. Food and drink is allowed in most parts of the library, and you'll often see students order pizza or Jimmy Johns to the ground floor. The basement levels are typically quiet or silent study only, as are parts of the second floor. This is taken very seriously, so you should not even whisper or open a packet of chips in silent areas. If you need to collaborate with a group or use A/V equipment, study rooms are available to be scheduled at the front desk. While it is accessible to the public during the day, please do be respectful of the fact that this is one of the primary places for students to study on campus, and that they should be prioritized. It was incredibly frustrating when I wasn't able to find a seat or the library was loud and messy because of non-students using it as a hangout spot.

The natural lighting in this library is amazing, especially during colder months. However, I wish…read morethey had a better set up. The last few times I've gone, I've noticed that their set up is a bit strange. I've had to go to the nonfiction section twice for fiction books because the catalog said they were there. Another time, the book I was looking for was missing (which isn't the library's fault). The people who work here are really kind and knowledgeable. They will help you and give you good tips. On the lost book occasion, the librarian checked four possible places for me, spending about 30 minutes hunting down the book before helping me put a hold on another copy. This library has a lot of potential. For example, I'd love if they offered a hot and new section, or put more popular/genre displays up. I love the Westover Hills Richmond Library because they showcase the hottest reads which inspires me to read even more. I think the Main Library could benefit from some reorganization. Besides this, it's a great space. They have wonderful rooms to rent out (I've seen RVA Rapid Transit's Mobility University held in a great space here). They also have a lovely garden in the back. It's a huge library with a lot of great potential.

Although this main branch is huge and carries an immense collection of books on every subject under…read morethe sun, it's a hassle to come here! Unless you live or go to school nearby, driving downtown sucks, parking is a nightmare, and it's in a busy area. I prefer to have a more chill vibe at the library. But, I weathered the traffic, and came down here recently for a friend's art exhibit. It was an elegantly laid out arrangement of her work and I was impressed with the other artwork there too! Some of the rooms were designated with various artist's pieces and the exhibits were thoughtfully planned. I was excited to view my friend's creativity and I was equally impressed that the library gave her and other local talent a platform to display and sell their work. The Dooley Foyer is the perfect venue for these amazing artists to share their imagination with the community. This building itself is large and well laid out. They offer computer access, photocopy services, meeting and event rooms, and classes. A world of wonder and learning awaits you in the library! Just sign up for a library card and use it at any Richmond City branch. Although this isn't my "go to" library, I appreciate its contribution to knowledge seekers, students, and educators in this neighborhood!!
