A few years ago I had a package sent that the sender forgot to include my apt number on. My regular mailman had the day off and I just happened to be grabbing the mail and saw that the package was not delivered. We tracked it and saw it was being sent back the the sender, so we rushed to the post office. The person behind the counter got the tracking info from us and decided to check for it and found it right away. Another time recently my mailman saw me near the mailbox and gave me a shout because he had a package that was too big for my mailbox and would've had to be picked up from the post office otherwise. This location does get really busy, there are a lot of apartments nearby in walking distance. Sometimes they are understaffed, but that is the case almost everywhere. Everyone I have worked with here has been professional.

Epps) is the opposite. She is so friendly and accommodating. You feel like she's on your team. She is, in my humble opinion, the poster child of passport service employees. If the post office knew what's good for them, they would use Ms. Epps as a model for all passport-related services.

The lines may be long and thus this location gives a new meaning to the term snail mail. It's a pretty large facility, taking up most of the block, with numerous post offices boxes serving the folks in the Fan. The parking lot, while fairly sizable, needs repaving so watch those potholes. Many wonder why this post office is dubbed "Stewart Station" which is a mystery I'm willing to unravel. Stay tuned! The customer service is pretty common, good days and bad days. There are letter drop boxes out front and there are handicap railings for accessibility to the building. Hours M-F 9-5, Sat 9-12. It's a big post office with so much space and although it's a busy location, you can get through the post office lines rather quickly. It's also clean, is well stocked and maintained, and there are many amenities here, e.g. a greeting card stand, decorative mailers and shipping packaging, a self-serve kiosk, and plenty of post boxes. What's to hate? The passport department! This is one of the main places in the Richmond area to apply for your passport. We had to jump through multiple hoops to just get here as our appointment time and location was constantly being changed by the passport office. It was a headache! But we finally tracked down the proper date, location, and arrived! You have to drive around to the back of the post office to an underground sketchy area. There's a buzzer and an intercom to enter this dingy, stark cavernous office. It's worse than the DMV! It felt like an interrogation room. People sitting around waiting... and waiting. We waited over an hour after our appointed time before our name was called. All the paperwork was filled properly out, but the lady behind the counter made an error and asked us to redo the forms. Then when we went to pay, she said only check or debit card. That info wasn't on the site. So we had to call our bank to finagle our payment, and thankfully after some wheeling and dealing our payment was accepted (through no fault of our own). It was such a horrible ordeal, I began perspiring profusely and literally felt faint due to the rigamarole and didn't think the paperwork would get processed. What a complicated bunch of red tape! It took hours! I noticed several other customers going through the same hell we were going through. It was like a breath of fresh air when we finally walked out of that paper maze! So if you're just going to mail a letter or send a package, you'll be fine. But lord help you if you need a passport!

It features a gift card stand, a greeting card kiosk with stationary as well as tons of packing and mailing supplies. The brick building itself is plain and its needs lawn maintenance and an exterior spruce. Hours M-F 9-5, Saturday 10-2 no passport services here, but a bit further down Midlothian, there's the Pinetta post office that has passport services.

On my most recent visit, the self service kiosk wasn't working, so I had to stand in line to mail my letter. While I arrived prior to 5pm, I experienced the employees being very rude to folks who arrived just after 5. While I understand that the line has to be cut off, a little customer service and niceness goes a long way. Instead of yelling "WE'RE CLOSED" and making hand gestures, they could have put a sign on the door or nicely said that they are closed and to come back another time. Just my two cents!

This is an ongoing issue with packages not being picked up that were scheduled for pick up. I have put in two official inquiries and nobody could tell me why my packages were not getting picked up on fon du lac. I have even put notes in the mailbox for the carrier asking them to please pick the packages up. Smh. I called the local branch several times and nobody answers the phone. I went there in person on Tuesday 8/4/26 to drop off the packages that weren't picked up the day before. I spoke to a supervisor, but she didn't take down my information, so I wasn't very confident that she was even going to look into it. While I was waiting to speak with her, there was another lady speaking with her who put her small children on top of a very high round table in the lobby. It is about 4.5 to 5 feet tall with a concrete floor underneath, and she had placed her two young children up there unsupervised. I was concerned the kids would fall off the entire time, yet the supervisor allowed it. I was about to go over there and stand by them to make sure they didn't fall, when the mother finally came back to attend to them. The table is part of the self-service kiosk where customers prepare their parcels; it's not a place for children to play or sit upon. It was a hazardous situation for those babies. That being said, when I do have to go to the post office, the ladies at the front are mostly polite and professional.
