This post office serves it's purpose. It always has business but it's not too busy and overcrowded. I've been to this location a few times to mail things off or to buy money orders. One of the clerks acted like they didn't want to sell me a money order once but I got it, I'll come back again for other business unless I start getting continuous problems. read more

Honestly seems like they are trying to make this place slightly more efficient, especially during the busy holidays. There was a girl at a stand directing people and answering questions which was a bit helpful. The self service machine's package bin was full and it only took about 5 minutes for someone come and empty it. Be sure to park somewhere else and come with your packages already taped and labeled and you won't have as many issues. read more

If u could give negative stars I would. Beyond horrid service. They never ever answer the phone. Our carrier won't deliver packages to our door -- he just marks them as delivery attempted and leaves a notice in the box -- because he can't be bothered in actually carrying the packages to the doors of units in the complex. I've filed tons of complaints to no avail. At Christmas time he switches it up and marks that we asked him to hold mail (we didn't) so we have to pick them up at the post office. Absolutely no accountability or management. And they wonder why people don't use usps.... read more

If I could a big middle finger instead of a star I would. There's maybe two competent workers in this entire branch. The rest of them are f****** idiots and I mean that in the strongest way possible. They're incompetent, they say they deliver things and they don't they just bring them back to the post office. If they don't feel like delivering large packages? No problem, they'll either bring it back to the post office and let it rot there for a couple of days before telling you or they will just send it back to the origin Tori is great, Victor my postman is also amazing. how they don't strangle the people they work with is beyond me. Because the rest of them are just idiots, lazy idiots. sadly, this post office only has one Tori and one Victor. Unless you reroute your packages you have to suffer because there's nothing else that can be done. I started rerouting my stuff to my wife's job in Downtown LA because they seem to have their s*** slightly more together than up here read more

They lose everything and don't take responsibility. Workers are super rude. They owe me $200 for items lost. This isn't our first rodeo, so now I'm finally writing a review because I've never lost mail until I moved to Gardena and they became my local post office. read more

Post office is post office. I only come here once or twice a year when I actually need to get stamps or send something urgent. Like everyone said, the line seem to be the biggest problem here which is probably the same for any post office I have been to. Always a long line but theres only couple people handling us citizens. I really wish they more workers at the counter so that line will flow and people wont complain so much especially during peak hours. Someone said parking is really bad here but I personally had no problem parking at the lot. There were always 3-4 parking spaces when I paid a visit. Some workers are actually nice and friendly but some are just dull and quiet. read more

This is my second time in recent weeks to come to this post office. Both times I was treated very kind. Evrn with social distancing being enforced the long line moves pretty quickly. Customer service is excellent especially the service given by Rosalind. She doesn't rush you, she's thorough and when she asked me how I was doing it felt genuine. Thank you Rosalind for excellent customer service. All the necessary protocols are enforced. Keep up the good work. read more

Very rude service by this lady today. I waited in line as usual to get my packages scanned in. Unfortunately, I had to do this since someone there is taking my packages! Usually, my packages are scanned at this PO, but once in a while one or two out of my small load I drop off won't get scanned and goes missing and never arrives to my customers. This happens every season through out the year. It frightens me because it's hurting my wallet. So, today one of the ladies yelled at me as I give her my few packages to scan. Most of my packages are shipped First Class around half a pound. Well, as she rushed me with her loud harassing voice, I hurried nervously pulling out each envelope package to put into her hand at the drop off clear door on the left side of the office near the entrance. I guess one fell out of her hand, but she yelled at me that I had dropped the package on her. Well, I told her I wasn't trying to do that. Then, she gave me the hand and shewed me away! Omg, she refused to continue scanning my package. She just walked away and yelled crazy things to me as I protested and asked her for her name. She refused to give me her name and said it was none of my business. Other customers around me said she shouldn't talk like that. Since she refused to give me her name, and the other worker next to her didn't respond either except with a mocking laugh, I took a picture of the very rude lady when she went away to one of the windows to do something else! Then she followed me to my car out front to take a picture of me in my car! I want to write a complaint to her supervisor. read more

4 stars cuz it's annoying that they never know where your package is and I think that some of the workers scan items before they get to the location so when they can't deliver like they intended to people get upset. Horrible business. Never answer the phone. They "found" my registered pkg after it took 3 days to get from LA to Gardena (14 miles). Then, the carrier "couldn't access the addressee's location" (which is a huge business) so my pkg wasn't delivered. I filed a complaint against this post office and the carrier with the post office help line (800 number) and the pkg was delivered the next day. read more

Why? I don't really need these people to be friendly, I just need them to do their job. I had a package that was sent via priority mail which is guaranteed to come in 1-3 business days-ordered It on Thursday was suppose to come Monday. The person sending me the package even added insurance to it and a signature confirmation-so the website said it was good to be delivered on Monday the 17th (yesterday). I got home early bc I knew that it needed a signature, did it come on Monday? Nope. So Tuesday comes along and I call their 1-800 help number. The lady I talked to said the package was en route yesterday but the carrier must not have delivered it and told me to go to the post office to pick it up. So off I go and was "greeted" by some Asian lady who gave me hella attitude saying I can't pick up my package without a pink slip. I told her I don't have one because my package wasn't even attempted for delivery! It just never showed up, so she went in the back to check and said the package isn't here and it's in the truck. So it's about 8 pm..and what do you know, no package. USPS- you guys need to get your ish together. Don't be telling me one thing on the phone and another in person. I don't care if the 1800 number isn't "connected" to your location, you're both connected to the same damn company. It irritates me that they had no idea where my damn package was-if it wasn't delivered then the carrier should have scanned it and said it'll be re-attempted tomorrow. Why bother paying for PRIORITY shipping if it's not even guarantee? You know that phrase "running around in circles"? Yeah pretty much describes trying to get anything sorted out with this company, keep up the good work guys. read more

While I am here, 3 people had problems with their stuff not getting delivered and no pickup slips left at the door, even though it says so on the tracking info. My package doesn't get delivered because of an "animal interference," but there are no animals in this business plaza ... The next day it happens again! No package, no slip, "animal interference." So I call USPS to see if I can pick up the package. Lady tells me she can put in a hold on the package for tomorrow. Wanting my package, I drive to this USPS (3 min drive), and they tell me they don't have the package and if I want anything done, speak to the supervisor. Supervisor comes out 15 mins later, rudest dude ever, tells me they are running behind on packages and it has already left for the day. I say if the package is not delivered today, can I put a hold on it and pick it up tomorrow? He tells me "No, we don't do that." Ok... I can ask for packages to be held at other post offices, but not this one? They don't get deliveries out on time, not even 2 days after, AND you can't help them do their job by picking it up at the post office, because they can't be bothered to hold it for you .. It took all of 2 days to get from the state of Washington to Gardena, and you can't get the package 2 miles away within 4 days? I have an idea for a new reality program, and it will be titled "USPS Rescue." This location would be the first one deemed unsalvageable and a horde of rabid chipmunks will be turned loose to destroy the building. Did I mention I will be starting a chipmunk breeding program? They have marked my package "delivered." I don't have it. I tried to call - the call won't go through. I tried to file by email - "problems with the system, try again later." I would rather have a crochet hook shoved up my nostril by a two-year-old than have to visit this facility, but it seems that will be my only option. It is likely the package was delivered to the wrong address, as that happens more frequently than not from this facility. The employees based out of here are mostly non-English speaking, grumpy, incompetent, unsocial - or some mix of all of the above. We seem to get the carriers that are sick, lame, lazy and sloppy. The outgoing mail hasn't been emptied in a while, and although it is possible my package is in there, I may never know if it never gets checked! This is at least the second package that has vanished into the Bermuda Triangle and I hold zero hope of recovery, either by mail or reimbursement. I have NEVER IN MY LIFE had as many problems from any USPS facility. My last review said negative stars and they are sinking fast. read more

The WORST postal office I've ever been to. There used to be a drive-up mail drop off, but for some reason they took it down and when the post office is closed I have absolutely no way of dropping off my mail/bills. The whole office is locked when the main office is closed so you can't even drop off paper mail. The wait in the office itself is horrendous and the postal workers seem so un-enthused to be helping the community. I've learned my lesson from this POS office and now make my way to the Torrance or Carson location to get anything. Avoid this post office like the plague. Oh, one good thing came out of the shitty service here. I now subscribe to paperless bill payments for everything. I just saved $$$ on stamps and envelopes! Woop for technology!! read more

*this will be lenghty, but you need to know this* Nobody walks into the post office expecting to get in a an argument and be yelled at by the clerk, well depends on who you go up to at this post office. Short story short: I have probably snailmailed items once or twice at the postoffice, given my lack of memory I did not know the details of what I needed. I went in with my materials and with questions, It was the wednesday before thanksgiving at 2pm, I had to pay for my registration and I needed to have them postmarked. Now my emergency is not theirs, but I did not go in with that attitude. I wait in line about 8 minutes then as I reach the clerk I tell her I need to get something postmarked, she says "$1.50" naturally, when someone gives you a total, you assume you have to pay- well she yelled at me for attempting to take out my card. -strike one- she gives me the slip and tells me to fill it out, as I fill it out I tell her I only had the envelope that Chase gave me(one with their address on the right hand corner) she hands me a white sticker to cover it then mumbles about how customers like me always want to have things done for them -strike two- As im filling out the envelope I ask here where sender/receiver info goes and she starts raising her voice about how she has to do everything for me. -wrong move- I kindly tell her that she does not have to do everything for me but that I would appreciate it if she did not have an attitude as I expressed more than usual help from the beggining. -uh oh- she started off the bat yelling at me how i wanted her to do everything for me and how i was unprepared. she did not let me put in a word. I told her I acknowledged her help but that i told her i needed more help since that was my first time there. She obviously didnt care and kept yelling over me that there were customers there and i was holding up everyone because I was not ready. There were no signs that said you needed EVERYTHING at the window, if so- what was the need for clerks? and WHY DIDN'T A MANAGER POP OUT? did no one hear her harrassing me? obviously not... She just kept yelling as I tried to tell her that I just needed her help and if she was ill equiped i would have found someone who could help me. She took my stuff and pretty much kicked me out. I thanked her and told her to have a nice day. I really hope my check went in. stay away, or at least stay away from the lady with a short bob haircut and a bad bleach job. read more

Still the worst USPS Office I've ever dealt with. Absolutely THE WORST USPS Post Office I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. In addition to being surly and rude in the Post office, the carriers regularly scan packages incorrectly as delivered before ever delivering anything. This week they hit a new low and discovered an all new way to be terrible at their jobs. I had a Notice Left for a package. Okay, filled it out, left it. THEY TOOK THE NOTICE BUT NEVER REDELIVERED THE PACKAGE. It's been SIX DAYS NOW and FOUR redelivery requests, all ignored. I suppose I'll have to go in person now and deal with the incompetence in person. Sigh. read more

Why the four star rating you might ask? One reason, and one reason only, the self service kiosk. Yes I agree with my fellow yelpers reviews about this offices' hectic parking lot, long lines and shitty ass customer service. But the self serve kiosk makes up for all that. I can walk in here with whatever I'm mailing, a pen and a roll of tape (if a package) and walk out within 10 minutes. Priority mail boxes and envelopes are always on hand so I don't have to walk in with my own envelope/box. Handles packages up to 70lbs, has proof of delivery, certified mail, stamps, yadda yadda. If you can, do yourself a favor, skip the line and head straight toward the kiosk. read more

Wow! Just wow and totally disgusted by this unbelievable experience today! My 80 year old mother and my teen age daughter went to the post office in Gardena off Redondo Beach Blvd. today to see if a piece of durable medical equipment they were expecting was at the post office unclaimed. A clerk asked a supervisor to step in because she could not see that the package was ever delivered to the house address or to my mother's P.O. Box. Arthur (busy on his iPhone with a full sleeve of fascinating tattoos on his arm) stepped in to "assist" but not without demeaning and belittling my mother and daughter in front of post office staff and other customers. Arthur was mean and rude beyond belief to my mother and daughter. Arthur treated my mother who is extremely ill and medically fragile like she was dirt. Arthur almost brought both my mother and daughter to tears. My daughter is visiting from out of state and has never in her life witnessed anyone (let alone her elderly grandmother) being treated with such disrespect and disregard as Arthur treated them. Arthur continued to be condescending to my mother and daughter about how inconvenienced he was that he had to set up the PO Box and named off all the other tasks it took him to set the P.O. Box up. We later found out that the P.O. Box was never set up correctly to begin with. I am completely appalled, outraged and in shock at this occurrence with Arthur. My mother is now in fear that she may never receive her mail/packages due to Arthurs' vile and offensive behavior. I cannot believe that the United States Postal Service can call "Arthur" a Supervisor. I am so angry by Arthur's lack respect, decency and common courtesy to my elderly mother who has have lived in Gardena for over 60 years. I am so embarrassed and disappointed to call this my hometown/neighborhood post office. Shame, shame, shame on you, Arthur (busy on his iPhone with a full sleeve of fascinating tattoos on his arm) and I pray that no one ever treats you or your family with such contempt as you did mine! I hope someone address' Arthur's behavior immediately. Please read all the other comments before sending your family members to get verbally abused face to face by Arthur the United States Postal Service-"Supervisor". read more
