I live in a neighborhood with a cluster box set up and for months I have been unable to get packages out of the larger boxes when received as the keys don't work. I have left numerous notes for the carrier letting him know that it needs to be rekeyed but obviously too much work for him to do anything about it or even acknowledge the notes. Finally went down to the post office today to talk to someone about getting this corrected. First guy told me it was the owners responsibility - how the heck can I rekey federal property! It was obvious he didn't want to work too hard - heard him tell someone he was going to lunch right after talking to me so obvious where his priorities were! Good thing for some of these people they have government job security! Would have given one star but finally got a supervisor who was actually very helpful and said she would take care of it. read more

Many people will say why 5 stars? Well when there's an issue with other Post Office Branches, the wonderful management team (Ruth Hellen Bill) will be there for you. They will call you after hours, they will drive to your house in a different stations service area, in short they are empathetic, kind, and willing to do what it takes to satisfy the customer, and aren't afraid to admit when the Post makes a mistake. I thank you for being there for me when the OIG, PI, Supervisors, Managers, and Employees couldn't of wouldn't. You are the post office, thank you. read more

Garbage. They "lost" a package of mine which was expensive and valuable, have misplaced my mail and given us other people's mail, and because of their laziness, they didn't put a piece of my mail in my mailbox. Mind you, I have a broken foot and bad knee right now and cannot get out of bed or anything. They rang my doorbell once (I was home alone) and left. They didn't leave my piece of mail in the mail box and expect me to go pick it up tomorrow when I can't even move!! Their online form for re-delivery isn't working for me and I called and their phone is busy. What the heck? This place is an utter joke!! read more

Yup, this post office still really does suck. Went in to get 1 priority mail envelope off the rack in the lobby, but the rack was empty and in a disarray. The office had just closed, and although there were 5 or 6 staff milling about inside, they all did their best to ignore me, and 1 person actually started refilling the envelope rack on the other side of the glass, right in front of me. Wait, that's what I need, just 1 envelope! I asked but she said she couldn't give me one. What? So she can refill the stock in the office itself, but can't refill the lobby racks that are 2, 3 steps away from her? So annoying and lame. This post office has too much attitude, it's really unbearable - I've seen friendlier staff in metropolitan areas with much higher stress loads. I don't know what their excuse is, but they seem to be in it together. Consistently unfriendly and/or bad service here. *If you need to mail something USPS, I suggest you go to the office store. I feel like I'm divulging my special little secret, but the staff are friendlier at Office Depot which is just down the street, and you have the option of sending packages by USPS or UPS. I don't know if they carry the priority mail envelopes, but I've mailed many packages there and had much better customer service! read more

Very late deliveries up until 8:00 pm, although our carrier is very friendly but his route is too bug! Mail gets put in the wrong boxes more than I'm comfortable with, my experience with mail forwarding is a disaster with this office, and the community large box has frequently had frozen locks that holds our packages hostage over and over - seems like one new lock would take care of that. read more

Rude. Just rude. I used their automated system to send a package. Totally awesome and super easy. (I also paid for 2 day shipping) I stupidly placed the receipt with the tracking # next to the vents of my car and the heat sensitive paper turned black, effectively blacking out the tracking number and pretty much everything else. A week and a half later, my friend still hadnt received the package I sent, so I call the Folsom Post Office. The first time I call, I get a woman, who was somewhat nice (it is the holiday season, and I know things can get stressful, especially for the post office. Totally understand) I explain my predicament and she says to call back to speak with the finance supervisor, maybe she can look up my credit card info to find my shipping info. Cool! So I call back a little after noon and get another woman. I ask for the finance supervisor and she asks what the nature of the call was about. So, I again, explain my issue and before I can finish my sentence she says they don't keep 'numbers'... ok. Then I politely explain that I was told to speak with the finance supervisor and she rudely says that there is absolutely no way to help me. The way she spoke to me was rude. Rude. Rude. She talked over me and was extremely dismissive. I refuse to think there is no way to help, especially in this day in age with the technology we have. I called the 1-800 # and they gladly helped me and is contacting the local post office where the package was going and is going to send me updates when they find out where it is. Couldn't the woman recommend me calling the 1-800 #? Or anything else?? Overall, the Folsom Post Office employee's are extremely rude...this is not the first time I've dealt with them. The post office in general, especially their call center went above and beyond. read more

Only been in this post office a few times but customer service has never been their forte. There is a line out the door with 35 minutes before they close and one of the workers closes his window and announces that he's off work and has to go. Rudely slams his closed sign down and huffs off leaving 2 windows open with about 15 people in line and growing rapidly. If I didn't have to pick up packages here, I wouldn't come here. Terrible!! read more

I have a p.o. box here and constantly get someone elses mail filling up my already very small box. Ive let them know at least 7 times and they say they will put a note but that never helps. My amazon package says it was delivered sunday and i recieved a key in my apt mail box but when i used the box key NOTHING was in that box. I have tried to call for 2 days now and the line is always busy. So frustrating. read more

Calling all day on Wedsday 1//11/2017. No one ever picked up the phone. Or the line was busy. Shame on them how they treated their customers. No wonder their offices keep shutting down and laying staff off. That explained. read more

I noticed the USPS becoming more and more popular thanks to our true American patriots. No wonder when you go to a Kinkos/Fed ex office there are more employees than customers. Even though the lines at the post office were just out the front door, it did not take more than several minutes to get service since all the stations had postal workers serving swiftly. Parking was ok as well. No sense to even make an issue of it unless your clinically depressed. Price was right also. About $2 for sending a small package. read more

Ok, I totally get that the feelings can be mixed about any public service, but this one is actually not that horrible. Not that horrible at all. I decided not to write a review until I visited it 3 times, just to be fair. And here it goes: there is always parking available, lots of collectible stamps available, and the guy at the front desk actually got a sense of humor. Once i had to mail out an international donation package and there were some weird forms, they helped me fill those it. It's true that the lines can be long here, but at least there are no beggars outside, and the fellow costumers are polite to each other. read more

Wish I could agree with the "positive 5 Star" reviews....this post office is not only unfriendly, the new hours are totally inconvenient. I had a vacation hold for 3 weeks and asked that the held mail be delivered to my home at the end of the hold period. Not only has my mail still NOT arrived, packages have apparently been returned as deliverable per store e-mails. Not a wonder more people opt out of postal service for other options. read more

I frequent this post office quite often. The clerks are super friendly and always seem to want to help the customers as much as possible! I usually use the machine in the lobby but if I wait in line it goes by pretty quick considering how busy they are. The person in the lobby assisting customers is great and helps the line to move quickly as well! Thumbs up Folsom! read more

This is the Rudest and Worst post office!! Orangevale, Davis, Woodland are all great. but This one is always rushing and rude and condescending. I always now avoid this one at all costs! read more

I think opening at 10:00 is awful. Every time there is trouble with the carrier no one seems to care. Plus. there is always a long line of people waiting and only one clerk and they don't seem to care, they don't do anything about getting another clerk. Then the clerk that is on, starts a conversation with a customer, meanwhile the line is getting longer and longer. Doesn't Folsom do anything right? Not a fan. read more

If you need a passport, go elsewhere. Unless you want to wait in line forever, you have to make an appointment. The catch is that no one answers the passport phone so you leave a message and hope they get back to you. It took me 3 weeks and 3 messages asking them to call me back. They finally did and I missed the call so the process began anew. I've been told to go to Hazel or Placerville for much better service. read more

Beyond belief. These workers, some in my case this one carrier and three customer reps at this office, are are lazy and do not NOT do their job. I had three packages mailed to me at a wrong address ( senders goofed, all three were tracked packages. All packages were mailed around the holiday season.) All packages went to the same wrong address as stated above. All three packages had a trouble ticket(s) on them..Any new mail that might be heading to the wrong address in my name ought to have been STOPPED AND flagged. Held by them for pickup and or mailed to correct ( in their computer new address of mine). They would not , hold or track all three packages. Tracking was PAID FOR!!! Yet all three packages say they are in Folsom USPS Office. I talked to Three different ladies TINA was the WORST of the lot. I explained that my packages ( tracked ) are showing Folsom undeliverable for eight days now. Why did they not scan (the paid) tracking before sending it to Sacramento sorting hub. If they did their JOB I could have it placed on hold to be picked up ( in Sacramento ) and get my three packages...Soon to be five FOLSOM MISSING PACKAGES. Tina was rude and said , " nope they aren't here at Folsom", I asked why these packages are not being held ( all have my first name last name and all the same wrong address). She said, " We are not going to hold or change your address, that is your fault!. I asked why have these packages not been scanned so I can pick them up, or KNOW WHERE THE HELL THEY ARE? ...They are in ALL my name, I have three different I.D's both Federal and State issued ID Direct me to their location. No she said there was nothing she can do or willing to do. FAILED. read more

June 21, 2015 another misdelivered package, thank goodness for honest neighbors. Always seems to happen when we have a substitute delivery person. This makes five times this year. In general this post office has very low rating amongst locals. Only saving grace is our regular delivery person who is outstanding in every way. read more

If I could give fewer I would ... I just watched the gal at the claim window swear to a woman that was all her mail, and when the woman asked if she'd check again the usps gal came back with a STACK of envelopes. That was right before they misplaced my package (signature required) and she suggested I'd already picked it up ... They found it 10minutes later. WTF!? read more

I did a print and ship online from the USPS site and a scheduled pick up. Instructions said, give package to your Mail carrier or put by front door. I see mail carrier, approach him, ask the young man, if he will take the package. He says, No, the truck has already left." My eye's must have been deceiving me, because his mail truck was parked next to him. I took the package ,went back to the house, waited till next morning and at 7:00am , I see mail truck zipping down our street, I get his attention, he pulls over, tell him my need, takes the package, scans it, smiles and says ,"you're good to go." He was older, mature and "Thank God for him." When I see the young dude, I hope it's raining and I can drive through a puddle next to him. Karma. read more

The post office now opens at 10:00 am - not 9:00 am. Even though line was long, the service was smooth and pleasant.

Today I received not only my mail, but two of my neighbors mail. One of those neighbors lives in a court off of my street (same house number but completely different street name). It has become quite comical over the years when my neighbor and I deliver mail to each other's door. I feel like I should receive a paycheck from the post office for delivering mail to my neighbors doorstep. Today was the icing on the cake though, when I had more than one neighbor's mail in my box...I mean, come on! read more

WeI live on the 500 block of Figueroa and just want to say our mailman is the greatest we have ever had. He is always so helpful and never delivers the wrong mail. We think his name is Brian. Anyways we hope he is here for awhile. They seem to always switch the mailman on this route read more

I try to avoid this place like it's a plague filled hospital in the middle of a zombie apocalypse. But, for some reason the USPS will not deliver packages to my business address. Fed Ex does. UPS does. A handful of other delivery companies do, but not the USPS. When I called it took my 5 tries to get someone to pick up the phone. Then they told me that the reason I was not getting mail was because my office location was new. I told them that we had been here for 23 months and that I receive mail every day - just no packages. More time on hold. Then they tell me in a surprised tone - "guess what... you have 15 packages sitting here that were not and will not be delivered." Yes, was my response - that is why I am calling. The problem can't be fixed online or over the phone. So now I get to go to my favorite place; the post office; deliver my own packages to myself and try to continue to sort out why the USPS cannot deliver packages when every other delivery company can. read more

1) Passport service is a 0. NEVER answer the telephone. Always have to leave a message and then they say they will return the call within 72 hours. Rarely return the call but when they do if you aren't available to answer it then it starts all over. I gave up and called Orangevale and got a live person first try and scheduled my appointment. I have to yank my child out of school because of the hours (10-2:30 I believe) which bugs me but appreciate actually getting through to a live person. 2) Long lines. I use to live near the Rosemont post office and they have a number system with chairs. So much better than having to stand in line especially when you have to bring kids with you. 3) They use to have a machine you could buy stamps from in the lobby but no more. 4) The only reason give them a 2 is because the people working there are actually pretty nice and helpful. Tips: 1) Get an online postage machine-I use dazzle for your packages so all you have to do is drop them off. 2) Order postage online through usps.com or buy from Raleys. 3) Try a different post office for passport service. Come on FOLSOM you can do better than this!! read more

Alex, the mail carrier supervisor spoke on the phone with me today, 11/5/15 at 9:50, and after letting him know of my problem of not receiving my mail for 3 days. He told me that my gate was locked so they couldn't deliver, but rather than checking the next day, they just didn't bother to try and deliver, because as he stated "It costs us money to try and deliver." Isn't that why I pay federal income tax, to help pay to offset the cost of mail delivery? My gate was locked in error, and when I realized the error I corrected it, but by then someone determined that they wouldn't bother checking any more. After three more days of no mail deliver I called and spoke with Alex. Alex was rude and after telling me that the mail carrier already went out for his route today, and that it cost them all money, he hung up without asking if I was satisfied, or even saying good-bye. I never had any such problems with my last mail carrier Gene. He was the best. He knew us, and was both friendly and kind. If the gate was locked, he would have tried ringing the doorbell to see if anyone was home, and he would have waited long enough for my disabled husband to get to the front door and open it. Time or money wasn't Gene's focus, it was on good customer service. I'm sorry that I can't say that about our current mailman, and definitely not about Alex! read more
