The staffs are RUDE AND MEAN.. there's a guy named Nelson who help me this time, what I need just to drop off some packages and need the receipt, then he started to complain I've given him too much workable this is the x times he's been telling me not to do this ?! And gave me the " ur so stupid" look during the whole process. HELLO, This is my first time to come here and although I promised myself will not come back again, most importantly, I wouldn't come to this office if its not necessary! Good luck trying to get an actual person to pick up the phone at this post office. I was expecting a package from an online store and it delivered on a Saturday to my office past 7:30PM when we were already closed. There was no notice left indicating of attempting delivery. After a couple of days of not receiving my package, I check the tracking code only to realize that they've attempted delivery and was awaiting my re-delivery instructions. Thats fine, I thought. I'll just set-up Redelivery on the USPS website. Received my confirmation email for redelivery for the very next day. 3 days passed. Nothing came. Tracked the package online, it was still at the facility. So, I called the 1800 USPS Number and they helped me set-up a SECOND Re-Delivery attempt for the next day, which was the following Monday, 2 weeks after the first attempt. He even gave me the phone number to the the Flushing, Queens Facility so I could call and confirm for the 2nd Attempt of Re-Delivery. Great, I thought. I now had a number to call directly. Except, everytime I called, it gets directed to an automated machine with the location & hours information. You could press 0 for the attendant (which I did) but guess what? An attendant has not been assigned to the number! So. You won't get to talk to anyone. (bummer.) But I had high hopes for the Flushing, Queens Post Office! YES I DID! I THOUGHT THAT THEY WOULD DELIVER MY PACKAGE! but no, no, no. Disappoint again. 3 days passed after the indicated date, nothing came. Check the website, it was still at the facility. At this moment, I was very upset. I called the 1-800 number again and lashed out at the poor unfortunate lady that happened to take my call. SHE was very apologetic and said would leave a note at for the Post Office to call me back the very next day since there was nothing she could do because she was not located at that facility. Fine I thought. No phone calls were made to me the next day. I have had it. And contacted the online store instead to let them know of what happened to the packages that couldn't get delivered. They refunded my money to my card without any questions asked and said that if & when the package actually get delivered, I could just send it back to sender. 2 days later, this post office location finally called me and said they tracked down the package to send out to me. Of course this time I let them know that it's not necessary. They can just send it back to sender from their facility. read more

This post office is the embodiment of incompetence. How a Queens postal worker can manage to confuse "22-01" from "2201" is beyond me. I dare you to try and call the post office about an issue you are having. If you honestly are able to reach someone, please allow my jaw to drop in sincere awe. Otherwise, your next option is to enter the premises and deal with 30-60 minute lines with employees who may or may not offer much assistance to you at all. It is quite a gamble and a chore. Worst post office ever. I literally waited on line for over 1 hr because I forgot my business pass which would have allowed me to wait on another line. When I forgot to write the delivery confirmation slip I was told to wait on the side write it and come back to the teller, I did that and when i got back to her she did not remember me?!!?!?!? It was only 1 minute ago I could not believe what I was hearing I was forced to get back on the queue to see another teller I waited for another hour I was so pissed.. This post office has some nice historical pictures of Flushing, Forest Hills, and other towns sorrounding Flushing. They are beautiful; reminds you how queens was back in the old days. And as for waiting in line, it will take 45 minutes atleast to get your turn. And if you parked your car outside, good luck cause your meter has expired. read more

Pros: -On a great stroke of luck when I came here to get my passport, the staff was very helpful. -They have PO boxes Cons: -The package pickup people. So you need a gov ID in order to pick up a package at the back window. Which is fine. I showed them my gov ID and they refused to give me my package anyway. That's fine too, I'll just snap your picture and cause a gigantic commotion in front of your window. They finally brought me my package. Apparently they wanted a kickback or something for doing their work. Use a different post office. read more

I am a retired Postal Employee since 1980 I had many job duties, besides Distribution, Machine Operator, Window Clerk, and Finally Secretary to the Director of Operations In my day as a Window Clerk, we had separate windows. Registry, Stamp, Parcel Post, Box mail (pick up mail ) Money Orders, and Pick up Packages. Each clerk was assigned to a window. When it came to Lunch time, There would be someone to take your place (Floater) Supervisors were very helpful in Delivery Service, and Window Service. Lines were always long no matter the day or time. It kept us all busy, and we earned our salary. Customers were rude, but we smiled, and not argue. We made the customer feel appreciated even if they were rude. I am sorry for the problems people occur. But if you think you can do better, take the test. You will find you are under pressure, speed counts, But I have to say SMILE YOUR ON CANDID CAMERA. read more

If I could give it ZERO starts, I would, and that's still to generous. Seriously, 7 windows, only 1 open @ 5:23pm on a Weds. Then I had the cojones to very professionally and respectfully ask if one of the 10 ppl wandering in the back could help out as there were about 12-15 ppl on line behind me and another 5 in front, and I got attitude. If it weren't because my parents and the Marine Corps taught me to be respectful even to dousche ppl, I would have flipped out and would have blamed it on PTSD. Horrible experiences. After I get off from school I'm always greeted by extremely long lines that will usually take about 30 mins. Half the windows are almost ALWAYS never opened. Pick up lines are usually slow and long. Be prepared for extra long lines after a long weekend or holiday season. read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS POST OFFICE FOR PASSPORT!!! I got there since 7 am and there's already 10,15 people ahead of me. Standing there for the spot until 9 am and got my number. Went into the waiting room at 10 am and still needed to wait another three hours when it's finally my turn. There is only ONE person processing. Ridiculous!!! There's never enough window agents. For a post office hub, I would think they'll hire more staff. The window agents can get rude at time. The customers are partially to blame since most are not ready with their package or are not sure what service they want to use. One other area of disappointment is the Pick-Up window. It always take so long. And if they don't find your package, they are reluctant to help any further. read more

This place sucks. Inefficient workers that take 15-20min per person for simple transactions that should take 5-10min. Workers take their sweet time doing their work slowly. Customers are constantly forced to change lines in "order". This causes issues as people end up in wrong lines and cutting each other. When I was there the guy helping on the side told the clerk to let some lady cut the line. The line was a mile long as some person got preferential treatment. honestly better to use UPS then the crap of USPS. read more

Long waiting at the post office. Slow services. Some of their delivery people are so lazy. I recently placed tow orders on Amazon. One I shipped to my business add. It was supposed to be delivered on Jan. 2nd. The business is on the second floor. They didn't even come upstairs and wrote the note saying business closed. It was open the whole day. Second package was supposed to deliver today to my home address in Flushing. However, on Amazon updates, it says wrong address. They couldn't find my address. Are you kidding me? I've been using that address for Amazon orders and other websites for years and till now you told me you didn't find the address? I just feel some one from the post office should know what is happening and get better services in the new year. read more

Went to send an "express" package out. Was the worst experience I could have. Took 45 minutes and I had to buy packing tape to attach the pre-printed shipping label I printed at home. They do not have pouches that go in the outside like FedEx. USPS has lost my business for my business. read more

The worst post office experience ever. Never in my life have I seen employees so laid back and lacking effort or desire to work. Long lines and a bitter wait for something as easy as purchasing stamps. Employees are rude and can barely speak english and then they get upset if you don't understand what they are trying to communicate. This causes even further delays because a 2 minute transaction now turns into 10. Try to avoid this location if possible and try the post office on Horace Harding in Fresh Meadows located behind Kohls and Modells. I went there for my passport. I arrived there at 7:25am and I was the 13th applicant waiting on line. The woman showed up at 8:35am. She handed out tickets individually and we can ask her questions. It was 9 when it was my turn. She told me to come back at 11 and I went to the passport room. I wasn't seen until 12:30pm. There was only one woman doing the passports. I knew I wasn't going to be seen at 11 because I read a review but it's better to get there on time so the employee won't say anything. For all the other services, at 8:30 (opening time) there were already at least 15 people on line. read more

Absolutely the worst post office ever in the history of post offices. They yell, scream, try to fight and argue with you and purposely take forever while the line is a mile long. While I understand that serving people all day can be annoying and stressful, that doesn't give them any reason to treat customers like this. I actually had a box returned to me when I paid for everything, and even had the tracking info. Some person at the window forgot to put the postage I paid for on the box. I had to take it back to the post office and this lady who apparently is the head supervisor made it seem like I was telling a story and even went on to say how would they know if it's the right box and said that she will not take care of it because she has to save her ass. Who talks like this? She yelled, screamed, literally would've ripped my head out if that window wasn't between us. It took an hour for someone to actually help me and he was the only nice guy. If it's not the employees being rude, it's the other customers trying to take your supplies and pens while you pack your stuff. Ugh, this place is so horrible. There's so many things that I want to write but I will just stop here. I don't want anymore stress reliving the Main Street Post Office nightmares. This is the worst place. Avoid at all costs. Pay more for UPS or Fed Ex and if not, just go to another location (not that it would be better anyway). The most ridiculous public facility i ever been to!!! I come this place to apply for my first passport with all the required documents. It is only 1:20pm. Even before I found the right window, I was told ocansionaly that the passport service is over today!! I check the online information that the hour for passport is from 9am - 3pm. Then I was confused to ask the question again, the employee told me I have to come even before 7am to start to wait in line in order to get a number. There are only about 30 number give out per day. How ridiculous is it? Then I find the passport application room, and only see a couple is at the window with one employee! They don't have a number and are refused cruelly!! The whole room is so empty!! It is only 1:20pm!! Their business hour is not even end yet!! They refuse to take customers???? They rush me out that room and close the door. The employee outside refuse to give me number, and they end their business hour before the listing 3pm!!!!!!!!!! I strongly doubt they just don't want to take customers even there are not yet 30 applications. The employees are so rude and basically ignore customers!! especially the one at the passport service window. I eventually did my application in a different place where has their business hour up to 4pm without the need of a number. read more

Have been waiting on eBay shipment, first stop in Oceanside, NY 11572 post office. Has been sitting in Oceanside for three days, no movement, no explanation, no update. No easily identifiable way to contact in order to find out anything. Customer must submit online form and select from a list of predesignated reasons for contact, none of which exactly match the reason for query. Customer must fill out pages of information, all sections of which must be complete to ask a simple question. Appears post office really discourages such communication by making process unduly convoluted and fatiguing. Next time, I shall avoid this eBay seller, knowing that his shipments must pass through this particular irksome location. read more

this is a review for the wait at the passport acceptance facility: accdg. to USPS.com, the post office opens at 8:30am on saturdays and passport office is open 9:30 - 1pm. HOWEVER, you should really get on line as soon as the post office opens which is before 8:30am. went there on 2 saturdays. 1st time, we arrived at 9:15am, went on line and were told by 9:45am that no numbers were being given anymore. only learned that day that they give out 25 numbers. went back the following saturday, arrived at 8:15am and thought we were early enough. no..there was already a long line so waited until 9:30am (that was an 1 and 15 min wait..standing) hoping we were one of the 25 alloted and good thing we were. now, starts the long wait. i think we were #22 (out of 25) but there were a few people after us so i figure, maybe they gave out around 30 tickets, taking into account people who couldn't wait and leave. only 2 windows open BUT at around 11am, it was lunch time so only 1 window open from that time. we were able to go out twice( to go to a bakery across the street and use the restroom) and still kept our spot. if you miss your number, you lose your place! we finished at 1:15pm. 5 hours total for 1 passport! good thing, the lady at the window was very nice. suggestions: have a restroom so that people don't get addtl. stress deciding whether to run out and miss their turn. also, they should add more info online and signage about the 25 maximum; instructions to come in really early and get a ticket; and no service if you don't have a ticket. felt bad for the people who waste their time coming in not knowing this. if not for some people seated in the front row of the waiting area, who were nice enough to tell them, they would be waiting til closing time and not be helped. read more

You are better off to the 24 Hour Automated Postal Center at: 19304 Horace Harding Expy, Fresh Meadow NY 11365 because I hate waiting on line. Do not have your delivery packages leave there for too long, occasionally I hear in the Flushing grape vines that stuff get stolen there hence all the plex-glass at the counters. read more
