I am here typing up this review as I'm standing in line to buy some forever stamps. I appreciate the fact that it opens until 8pm during most days unlike other locations nearby or in the city. Space wise is kind of decent sized. Looks clean inside but you can see that everywhere is old with age. The ceiling, walls, railings, and especially the architecture from its outer appearance. The task of buying stamps is literally supposed to just take under 3 minutes. There isn't a long line either. It's not even during rush hours or on the weekends. Ends up taking 25 minutes instead in total. By the time I've finished writing up this review, I am still not up at the counter yet. Definitely a slow process imo as a comparison to the speed of how some staff are working. No one is impolite though. Just slow...... They separate different services among two lines. Line 1 is mainly for buying stamps and shipping supplies. Line 2 is for general mailing like packages and letters. That's not entirely true as you can still buy stamps on Line 1. Line 2 has 5-6 counters while Line 1 only has one. Lastly, customers can also apply for a US Passport here.

Anything I mail out goes standard, slowest, cheapest rate, yet packages and regular mail arrive much more quickly than expected. In fact, one clerk noticed the doodles on my holiday packages, and carefully placed the postage stickers on them so they doodles wouldn't get covered up. She happened to be black, and I'm wondering if it's the same person people are complaining about- if so, I'm baffled. One lady who is a clerk doesn't want to do the work necessary of her job, such as counting stamps on packages or adding them up. She yells at the customers too (no private sector employer would allow this). Another couple of clerks like to find ways to deny you full service unless paying top dollar despite following the rules. If you want to save money and get friendlier service go to another location of USPS. Avoid this location if you can. This location does consistently call by telephone if you complain about issues related to mail getting delayed, not tracking or not getting delivered. This is a positive of this location. They will do this the next day or two if you call 1-800-ASK-USPS first. A supervisor from the branch will call you.

In fact I've seen the Asian lady working switch to speaking Mandarin when an older Chinese lady came in asking for help. Just because not all countries customer service culture is to suck up to customers with fake pleasantries and greetings, doesn't mean they are rude, or racist. I much prefer they know how to do their jobs correctly, and efficiently. This post office is small, and looks a little outdated, but it gets the job done.
