This has been my neighborhood post office for more than 10 years that I've lived here and the ladies who work at the front are some of the loveliest people I've ever met. Considering the amount of people and issues they encounter daily, I've never once seen them being disrespectful or rude to any customers. Bless them. Anytime I had to ask some questions, they always tried their best to help. This is a small post office, shipping supplies are typically in stock. If you're looking for something that's run out just ask the front. Lines as you can imagine goes up and down based on the time. Morning, Noon and before 5 are the busiest. Parking is convenient. There's (I think metered)street parking out front but there's also a huge parking lot in the back. read more

Had multiple packages lost by this post office. Filed a complaint online. They all had the same results. Postmaster tries to find it. Carrier doesn;t remember delivering package. Package is lost and a sorry email is sent to you. If you file an insurance claim, they always deny it because the tracking says "delivered". It's a scam. read more

The two stars is for convenience in finding street parking. Generally the wait time for ANY USPS location is long but this single file line was longer than any I've been to. At this location there are no kiosks, they only had 2 staff members working with only one window open and they were very disorganized. Other people would randomly walk up to the window while they are helping a customer and they would stop what they were doing and immediately to turn their attention to the people who interrupted (without first excusing themselves to the customer standing right in front of them). Fortunately, this didn't happen to me because there's no way on earth, heaven, or hell would I let anyone disrespect me when I have dutifully stood in line and waited for service but I must point this out because it was truly very unprofessional of them and unfair to the long line of customers. read more

I usually avoid this post office because there's an African American clerk perhaps in her mid 40's placed at the end counter that it's never pleasant, she's rude and don't like to give any directions and/or explanations, not even early in the morning when people are usually fresh, with their breakfast in their belly and rested. If there's another clerk available I try to bypass her and go to the next clerk but somedays there's no such luck. They have to open at 8:30 AM but there's some days they are 5 minutes late to open. read more

This post office really sucks. Staffs are very unfriendly and not professional. They are very mean and rude to Asian customers even if it's located in Flushing with large Asian populations. Very lazy an slow and their language and tone are very inappropriate to customer. This location needs to be out of business and all those staffs need to be out of jobs read more

Small post office. Always long lines! I'd be lucky to get out in less than half an hour. This is the closest post office to my home and I'm obligated to pick up my packages here. Sigh. Sigh. Sigh. A great spot to mail your packages if you know the right time to go. This place is routinely a disaster at 9am, 12pm and 430pm, with 430pm being the worst by far! The line can easily be 20 people long at the end the day, so you'd be wise to pass on stopping by. At any other time of the day you're in for smooth sailing. And hey, it's always fun to talk to the clerks through 9 inches of bulletproof glass. Makes me feel like I'm visiting an old pal in the can. read more

On an early Saturday afternoon line of 25 customers and closed windows. Understaffed. Perhaps more employees and later hours? Being open for 4.5hrs on a day most customers are off is poor common sense. USPS is putting themselves out of business as people slowly get fed up of being constantly frustrated. read more

They delivered my package to the wrong place and and marked the tracking as delivered. After waiting 20 minutes in line, the clerk was confused and the manager, where he refused to help me further or check the back to see if it was misplaced When I tried to take a picture of the Inspector General's Hotline (1-888-877-7644), I was yelled at very hostilely, as if I was stealing or something. This service is worst than any DMV I ever been to (actually, the DMV is quite nice, it's just the long wait). Move to a different zip code if you can. read more

This post office is the best spot for me because its nearby and offers free parking. The line tends to be long and moves slowly because a lot of people who come to this location don't know what they are doing. Most of the time, the people will wait and go up to the counter without having anything ready and will have to go back and fill out various forms etc and then come back straight to the window (having waited in line once, they are told to come to the window directly after they have followed the instruction) which sucks because you can get interrupted while you are being helped. This location also seems to have a lot of people who cut the line, more so than the other branches, to "just ask one quick question".. well one quick question (which almost always leads to "one more question") when asked by multiple people really slows the wait time. I still gave this place 4 stars since the post office clerks do their job, and do it well and are multi-lingual to accommodate the population and there is always a manager on hand who's always yelling out "pick ups only!!" by the front door. read more

If you ever need to question humanity then by all means come to this post office. Since they're too lazy and insufferable to deliver my packages and mail, I brought my notice to a "Mister Brown" who refused to give his first name with, lo & behold an ID name matching my notice, I mean what are the chances that a mail thief would have the same ID as notice to pick up. Not only did he refuse to give me my mail, when I pointed out I could show him my chase or coned gas bill address from my phone since I've chosen to go paperless he became blatantly rude, loud and condescending. He said I need my mail to get my mail. I asked him how would I get my mail to show him if he refused to give it to me. At this point I asked if I signed for a representative to pick up would it be alright since line 5 says sign and write the name of the person you wish to have pick up your mail with no mention of ID or proof of address and he began yelling he's booting me to the door and if he saw the mail was for me he would demand them to show my ID and a copy of my mail as well. In what alternate reality does any of this make sense. read more

I received an email that my package was delivered, IN MY MAILBOX for which I am the only person that has a key. I went downstairs in my building and looked and there was no package, but there was mail that was delivered that day. I figured the email was a mistake, so I said I'd check again the next day. The next day, as I was leaving my building, I realized that the mail carrier was delivering so I asked her if she delivered a package to my mailbox, she opened the mailbox and told me to look. Nothing was there, I explained to her that an email was sent and stated that my package was delivered IN MY MAILBOX. She told me to go to the post office and check there. I went and after about 7 minutes on the line, I finally was being helped. Gave the clerk tracking numbers for them to look in the back...nothing. They even came out with a photo of the package as if they were trying to help me. The manager even took my phone number down AND ENSURED ME THAT SHE WOULD CALL WITH AN UPDATE. I went back home and called the company and they told me to give it a couple of days and they would either refund me the money or they'd resend the package with another carrier. Well a week passed and that phone call that I was supposed to get, NEVER HAPPENED. I marched right over to the post office and asked for the manager. She took me into her office and was adamant that the package was delivered in my mailbox. how?! when I'M THE ONLY ONE WHO HAS A KEY. I told her, sometimes her carriers leave things in the lobby...or deliver to the wrong box even though my apartment number IS ON THE PACKAGE. I'm very upset with the service here. The staff at the 11354 post office is so helpful. They are very informative and advises the customer when there is a better service available. I go in there quite often and have yet to have a bad experience. I have encountered rude customers more often than I care to remember, but the ladies and occasional gents are always spot on. This was the worst PO in Flushing. Too much personal chit chatting behind the glass.Bad management. Made it hard to get a redelivery of mail if you're not home. NEVER answered their phone to schedule a pickup. There are now CLOSED! And I am not surprised. Too bad. read more

I was hoping management would step up and improve their customer service but this is not the case. I visit this location often to drop off packages that have already been packaged and pre paid online. Every time I inform the workers that I just need to drop off, they tell me to wait in line. There is a reason why USPS is losing money. It's their refusal to evolve into a customer service focused business. My postman never rings my bell when there is a package. The postman is simply lazy and could care less about customer service and doing the job he is paid to do. Instead, he just leaves a pick-up ticket which forces me to take time off work and go to the post office to pick up the package which should have been delivered! I have experienced so many difficult times and frustration at this location. When I picked up signature required package from USPS located at Union St and 31st Rd, I had to make couple trips because clerks told me they couldn't find the packages. This morning, I went there to pick up my package, was told to pick up the package after 11am becuase packages haven't been sorted out yet. I asked if I could wait but the workers there all seem having grduges against the boss of this location,one of them complained,"The boss don't even care, why should we care, we can't do anything, you just have to come back." The energy is not right in that office. I think whoever it was, the boss there should be fired. The place is a mess. I saw many times that workers there were giving attitudes to customers, and many times they couldn't find the packages or they didn't even want to be bothered to try. I had to make two trips to pick up one package in several occasions. This issue must be ceased. Someone upper lever should really reorganize this place. read more
