Just really frustrated with their deliveries! Completely random and hit or miss. Always the same guy -- thin brunette man with an earring. Here are some of my recent experiences: (all on separate days/occasions). *An Amazon order that was supposedly delivered on a Sunday. Never came -- no doorbell ring, no package left behind, no notice. I work from home right by the window -- we didn't even hear any truck come by on our empty street the entire day. *A delivery attempt notice -- Home all day, didn't hear any doorbell or knock. Wouldn't leave package behind because required a signature. Husband puts note on the door to leave it. Next day, mailman leaves it. (wouldn't it have been easier for the guy to just ring the doorbell the first day?? I could have freaking signed for it right then and there!!!) *Amazingly, the guy actually delivers a big pillow from Amazon, directly to my door. I was already outside sweeping leaves up, so maybe he figured it would be easier to get it out of the way. *Most current encounter : heard my front gate close shut. I see the man leaving, without any package in his hands. OK, he must have dropped off the package. Must not have needed a signature. Didn't even hear the doorbell ring. That's cool -- my husband will now have the watch he was so excited for. Go downstairs, looking for the package on the stoop : see nothing. Look carefully a second time (the stoop is sort of brown, maybe it blended in). Still nothing. Walk outside, maybe he left it a little further out. Nope. Finally look at my door and see that stupid delivery attempt notice. And literally 1-2 seconds later, the USPS truck is roaring past. I realized the lazy turd didn't even bring the package to the door in the first place!!! He obviously left empty handed, carrying nothing. Seriously?! Guess he wanted to shave off time during his route and have an early workday. Certainly quicker to slap a notice on the door than to ring the doorbell, wait for someone to answer (or not), and then leave. But hello! As annoying as that can be, it IS still their job!!! Every time I order something, I hope to God that it comes from UPS or FedEx. read more

This is the worst post office! There's always a ridiculously long line because they only have 1 or 2 clerks working the windows! I totally agree with Ron D. Angela is the best clerk!!! I'll boost this review one more star just on her service alone! When I get to the front of the line I always hope Angela will call me! This morning at around 10:20, I thought I was doing the right thing by waiting at what looked like the only line for picking/ sending mail. An exchange of words happened between costumers because no one can establish who came first. These employees who get all government benefits were chatting away behind the counter like there's no tomorrow while their costumers get irritated for poor service. They only deliver packages when they feel like it. I think that whenever something is heavy, they just put a slip in your mailbox telling you to pick up. One of the window works, Debbie (white, short hair, on the heavier side) is rude and condescending. She throws things, speaks curtly and her attitude overall is enough to ruin your perfectly good day. Also, whenever she is the one calculating my postage for packages, it always seems more expensive. They are not supervised the postal workers and the delivery man. Many times they deliver the wrong mail to my house. They don't even bother to check the mail address and to add they are always late. One time the delivery man came at 7pm at 7 pm can u imagen that!!!!! Worst service they need to be supervise the mail man and the post office. I cannot even deal with their service. The lady that everyone has complained about is incredibly rude. She called me a liar, talked down to me and yelled at me. Even when I was standing there waiting for my package she said next. I would never go here but my packages go here. And the only reason they go here is because the post office doesn't ring my bell when they deliver them. They stick in the little slips and just make me go to the post office to pick them up. And then I go there, say they never ring my bell and the mail man appears telling me he did ring my bell, he and the mean lady start yelling at me calling me a liar. It's just utterly ridiculous. I would not give any start to this post office even thought this is a federal agency they should treat people the same. most of the workers treat their customers unequal this is united stated of America where all citizens are treated equal with not preference but apparently Asians workers do not understand this American value of equality. I do not have any problem waiting in the line to give my already paid packages to the clerk but always at the same time a Asian customer comes and he skip the line all the time this is the second time and I started to walk behind him to give my also already paid packages and the Asian clerk did not allowed me to put my stuff so I explained her he skip the line and she said "I already know him" What! I told her this is a post office is federal agency and you need to treat all customers equal. Then she gave me attitude and I left the post office because I did not want to turn into a heavy confrontation. I hope her supervisor read this and change the majority of his/her personal attitude towards its clients I do not care if the ask me to go and talk about this issue; there are cameras recording everything that will support my point. read more

I order items via amazon and I have never seen a notice left on my door, but online it said they have delivered twice, but we have 3 people at home during the time of delivery. I would have given this place an easy 4-5 stars. If this place does not have the white mean lady. I think you know who I am talking about without mentioning the name. I know that this is a government job and they prob dont get paid too much. but it should not be the case for whoever works with customers. They should be customer oriented or at least do not show too much how you hate your job. Other people in this office are very nice and kind. They are very willing to help you. Sometimes, there would be one Asian lady who would come out of the back office to help the line move faster for people who pick up their package. I went to the post office to send a package for the first time yesterday and i must say the lady that helped me was very kind and helpful. She made it a pleasant first time for me. Also I have had to pick up some packages here before and they always make it an easy painless experience picking a package up because very often an employee will approach the line and ask anybody picking up a package to make a separate line. Now my ONLY complaint is that there is most likely going to be a long line with not enough windows open which sucks but the friendly ladies behind the window make up for the long wait! read more

3.5 the over-all service is ok, lines are usually a little slow. There is one postal worker, who I've unfortunately not asked for by name, because I have yet to introduce myself, but wow. She is the sweetest, most cordial woman. I've probably been helped somewhere between3-5 times by her in the last 5 yrs, but her service really is that memorable. My one star is for only because of Jazmyn. I live in the neighborhood and have visited this office couple of times. I always try to avoid the asian lady named WARLEN. She is very rude and she always answers my questions very rudely. Almost like she wants to make others feel stupid. I had never shipped a package internationally, and wanted to know the different price options and she would not tell me. She said only if I paid. Which makes no sense at all. So I sought help from Jazmyn. Very calm and sweet. She told me all the different prices and helped me pick a box for my shipment. I am asian but not chinese, and she seemed to favor chinese people. She was very nice and friendly to another chinese lady. She was laughing and smiling, and when it was my turn, she was a totally different person. Not cool Warlen. I spoke very politely because I was always taught to respect elders, no matter what. But it did no matter to her. I hope someday she learns a lesson not to be rude to strangers. read more

Seriously the WORST Postal Service staff in the world. The staff in unbelievably rude and they speak to you like you were stupid. Honestly if I could give 0 stars I would. This location needs to replace its staff with people with a better attitude. I understand if you are having a bad day or whatever, but dont bring that energy to your work place where you need to interact with others. Each time I have had to go there, they always have the same nasty face when you greet them at the window. I myself work in customer service and my butt would get written up if I had that attitude to the customers. This is the worst Post Office location! When I tracked my package last week on usps website, it said on Thu 08/10/2017 that there was "No Access," on Fri 08/11/2017 it said "Notice Left," on Sat 08/12/2017 it said "Available for Pickup." Someone was home on Thu, I was home on Fri and Sat, and nobody came, or bothered to leave any Notice! On Saturday, I've decided to contact the USPS Customer Service, and scheduled redelivery for Mon 08/14/2017. I stayed home the whole Monday, and again nobody came. I waisted three days for nothing! They delivered the package on Tuesday instead, and left it at "Front Door." This is not the first time I had a problem with this Post Office. A couple years ago I was expecting a package. When I tracked it on usps website, it said that it arrived to the Post Office, but was return back to the sender because "supposedly" something was wrong with my address (even though I was receiving my mail from this Post Office, and a packages from FedEx, and UPS without any problems.) I had to place my order second time, used the same address, and it was delivered without problem. This location should be shot down, or they should replace the people that work there, with people that will do their jobs! read more

My complain is about the Lefrak city branch post office, located at 59-01Junction Blvd. Inspite of many complaints to this post office, it seems the manager or whoever should be in charge of these truck drivers that delivers package is not taking care of this issue. I always check their website on delivery status of my package and track the package when their website says (package is on truck) out for delivery on the said date. The truck driver do not ring the bell or leave a note. I then have to call their 800 -275-8777 number to file a complain. All of a sudden to my surprise, it shows up that they made an attempt and leave a note. I have proof of this many times they do not leave a note or ring the bell indicating that they have a package because I have a camera right down to the lobby which shows all activtives. This has been an ongoing problem with this particular post office at Juntion blvd. 59-01. Also, they never, never pick up their phone when I call. Inspite of many calls to their phone (718)217-3926. Someone make believe they are picking up the phone and then I will hear a click. I called consumers affairs many times, if you are lucky you with get through with them. This last incident, I called their consumers affairs post office number (718) 321-5570. which is constantly on voice mail. No help to my avail. I am sick and I am not able to put up with this post office and their employess aggravation and rudeness. I told them many times that the package contains medicine. I am tired of their unprofessional behaviour. Another incident, they brought my medicine and quielty left it infront of my door with a lable stating that the package is damaged. They never buzz my door. Only when I opened my door to take out the garbage I saw my package. I had to to go through so much stress as to scan the pacakge e-mail it to the shipper for proof and then have my items reshipped. I I was instructed to write Washington and complain. Because their consumers affairs are no better, and the 800 number does not help. So is the local post office. read more

This must be the slowest post office in the world. I have been waiting in line for over an hour just to send out a small package. Line is out the door and one worker (of 2 workers) spent 30 mins with one person so it was basically just one open window for 30 ppl. I'm used to using fed ex where they pick up packages too. I have had several interactions with this post office not one has been positive. They are not willing to use the technology available to them to do their jobs (computers to look up info) and have a negative attitude. Several packages that they don't know where they are?! if you make a reservation online to hold your package; they don't honor that either. You just cant win at this place?! This is the first time I've ever write a post in yelp and unfortunately it is because I was really so frustrated with the service of Elmhurst USPS! This is the fourth time that my package was not delivered on time. The mail man just always left a notice without ringing my door bell and I have to go to this post office just to pickup the package. I am always tracking my packages so I know when it will be delivered to me. Since the Elmhurst USPS is just one block from my apartment, just to make sure I went there today at 1:00 PM and ask if I can pick up my package instead because it is out for delivery and they don't always deliver my packages on time. They just leave notices even if I am home or someone was home the whole day. So lazy! The lady in the Elmhurst USPS was so rude and gave me an attitude. She told me that she wasn't able to find my package and she checked it was out for delivery today. So I left and went back home to wait for it instead. Came 4:00 PM today, I never heard any ring from my door bell. I checked my mailbox and a notice was left there. It happened again as I expected! I tracked my package online after that and it says that a notice was left at 2:41 PM today. Seriously! I was here the whole day. So now I have to wait for Monday just to get my package. This is unacceptable! I filed a complaint to USPS and asked them to take action of it to keep this from happening over and over. It's so frustrating because I still have few more packages that are going to be delivered before Christmas. These packages are my Christmas gifts and I want it to be delivered on time. But with their service I don't think I will be able to get it before Christmas! If I'd still not get my packages on time, I will file a formal complaint to U.S. Postal Regulatory Commission. Not as bad as you would think. Yeah the lines can be long at certain times but compare it to Forest Hills or Flushing branch, it's not too bad over here.The biggest problem at this Post Office is the communication issue between the customer and teller. As you all know, Elmhurst/Jackson Heights is probably the most diverse neighborhoods in the world. There are people from all over the world in this little neighborhood. So half the time I'm here, the reason for the long line are the folks having trouble communicating with the teller. It's not like Forest Hills where the senior citizens have 5-10 minute chit chat conversations with their favorite teller after their transaction is complete. They have sent some packages back to the sender because of an "incorrect address" even though it was correct, left packages at the wrong address, and hasn't properly brought a package or left a slip since january. A worker even called my bf after he left an anonymous complaint to inquire about his comments. He only left his initials, so that worker clearly took the time to find him. Well, all of the reviews are abzolutely right..! I had the same experience with this usps, if you see the line only 10 people in front of you,don't ever think you will be finished is 20 mins. if i could give 0 stars i would. i try not to use this post office but unfortunately i dont have much choice. i will go in a few times a year to mail out things for the past few years. somtimes i will have to go in to pick up a package. i never had even a neutral experience. okay i know about "beauracracy" but this place is horrible. most of the people that work there..are so rude. there is this lady DEBBIE with white/blonde short hair and she is the worst. i always end up going to her and she has never ever been courteous to say the least. she talks like you did something wrong, or you are stupid or as if she wants to start a fight. every word she says is twisted and how she says it is more disturbing. she barks at you like youre a less than a dog and she throws your credit card back in the slot like youre trash. i never bothered arguing with her bc i know she will always be there like she has in the past doing what she does and dont want to stoop down to her level and plus hold up the line as long as it is all the time. avoid her if you can but theres usually only one teller @elmhurst A post office. read more
