I ordered a walking pad from Amazon that weighs 41 lbs. Day of delivery: I receive an email that they attempted delivery to a parcel locker and were unable to deliver it. It's a fricking TREADMILL which means they have to deliver it to your porch. I'm retired, home all day - NOT ONE single attempt was made to drop this item on my porch!! I immediately called the USPS toll free number. Over an hour later I get a call back, explain that no attempt was ever made to deliver my parcel and I'm pissed off. Clerk was polite, and files a redelivery date of the following day to which I stated, "I want this item delivered today! It's in their truck, bring it to my porch! I have a dolly and will help unload this item and I can just roll it up the driveway, they don't even have to carry it!" I then called Amazon and filed a complaint with them and reminded them that the USPS is contracted to deliver goods on behalf of Amazon and the USPS simply ignored their contractual obligation to drop off my parcel on my porch. Amazon customer service agent put me on hold for a few minutes, came back and stated she had contacted USPS and they would deliver it later the same day just give them time. Guess what? USPS lied to Amazon, nobody came by on Monday, March 18th to actually do their job and deliver a parcel scheduled for delivery. I'm royally ticked off at the USPS branch in Corvallis. I've been trying to get my package for almost a week now and they have been so unhelpful. First they wouldn't deliver my items because they claimed they were unable to find my address, however mine was a verified address. They even told me they would have the driver put my items by my doorstep as my mail key is currently out of commission. By the time their driver got back it was to late for me to be there as I was at work and they put my things in the mail box despite the note saying I cannot access it. read more

Do not order anything if it is being delivered through USPS! I ordered some perfume and the delivery was through them. On a Monday the status said "out for delivery."At the end of the day the status changed to "awaiting delivery" and said it would be delivered the next business day. Skip to over a week later and I still haven't received it so I went in to the office. The guy at the counter was super helpful and nice, but he couldn't figure out what happened to the package, so he had me put down my information and told me he'd ask a supervisor about it and they'd call me. They did actually call me later that day only to tell me that they don't have any idea what happened to it and there was nothing that they could do about it. I asked if it had been lost on the delivery route and the guy said that it probably had been, but that the only thing I could do about it was to contact the sender. Which is ridiculous because it's not the senders fault that USPS can't complete a simple delivery without losing packages and then doing nothing about it. I normally wouldn't be so upset about it because obviously mistakes happen sometimes, but it's clear from other reviews that I'm not even close to the first person to have this problem. read more

They have been holding a package of mine since 4/27 because the carrier apparently does not want to deliver it to my apartment. Due to the civid-19 virus, our office is closed for protection of employees and residents. The apartment manager contacted the USPS and they agreed to deliver it to the apartment number shown on the label. Apparently my carrier doesn't want to get bothered. I finally spoke with a gentlemen who told me it would be delivered on 4/1...still don't have my package. The post office could save some money by having the phone disconnected. They don't answer it and say the office is closed when in fact it isn't and I am calling and calling during business hours! These people are horrible. Absolutely worthless. I have explained to them on more than one occasion, that there is no reason for them not to deliver my packages. I've written angry letters, sad letters, begging letters, clean letters, vulgar letters, and still, nothing changes. The letter carriers ignore the notes that have been put on the accounts, both online and through their ridiculous non effectual laggy bug ridden app, I've talked to them on the phone, through chat, through email. NOTHING CHANGES. I've never in my life ever experienced a more inept group of postal workers, and that is saying something. I have never run across these issues with any other post office. From South Dakota, Georgia, Kentucky, Oregon, Utah, Idaho, and back to Oregon again. The only place I have issues with, is in Oregon. They're atrocious and they simply do not care what taxpayers want them to do in delivering the mail, be it envelope or parcel, it literally does not matter. My advice... use FedEx!! I sent a package to my son who never received it. They said it was delivered but was never to be found. I filed a case because it had sentimental things. I got a call saying telling me the exact thing and I can call the police. If I had any questions please contact them. Over a dozen attempts and the phone had never been answered. This is a downtown post office with character. It has gargoyles for the frequent rain, and it's distinctive. Technically, it seems to be the only post office in town. It doesn't have much competition. It's along the riverfront, not far from toy stores, bookstores, restaurants. It's in an area that's well-maintained. Even if there is a line, the service itself is fast and gracious. A pleasant spot for mundane chores. read more

Clerk asks if anyone has a passport application and he let a person come out of the middle of the line, kept the 14 people waiting and proceeded to start and process her passport application instead of helping anyone else. The post office in downtown Corvallis is pretty much a joke. I live in south Corvallis and our mail carrier just delievered our mail to the bank of (what supposed to be locked) boxes down the road. The entire door to all the boxes was left unlocked and the wind opened it up. And did I mention it is raining too? This is NOT the first time this has happened to us and our neighbors (at least the 10 time now). I just called the local number to this office at 2:50 PM to be told by automation that they close at 3 PM and they are closed (who knew there was a 10 min time diffence from south Corvallis to downtown?). I could not tell anybody or even leave a message so they would know there is unsecured mail on our street because the carrier did not lock the bank of boxes. Time sensitive package not received despite extra $$ spent on shipping. Reason stated was that carrier could not get access to front door...UPS and Fed Ex both delivered items that same day without any issue....some mail persons just don't do their job and rather than deliver the package in their truck they take it back to the post office and let it sit or let it be delivered late by a different mail person who actually delivers packages with a degree of competency.
