The Hispanic lady at Counter 6 was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and efficient. Even…read morethough she kept getting interrupted by other employees, she stayed focused, kept a fast pace, and continued calling numbers and helping customers without slowing down. She truly deserves a raise or to be considered for a management position. Employees like her are the reason I love coming to this DMV location. Great customer service is hard to find, and she made the entire experience quick, smooth, and stress-free. Thank you for having such a hardworking and dedicated employee.

And that she was - having just passed the driving test at an offsite location in Wilsonville, the daughter and I went to the nearest DMV to get her license. It turned out the Sherwood branch was a zoo, packed with people, a bit surprising for a Tuesday. Once we made our way to the Info booth, we learned that despite having her photo ID / permit, they still needed her birth certificate (again) and supporting documents. So we left empty handed and headed home. Once in Salem, we grabbed what we needed and headed to our local office. I was a bit nervous to see the lines, but was quickly relieved to see a mere fraction of the people in the last branch. She was quickly assigned a number, with only two people ahead, and just like that - there's a new independent teen driver sharing the roadway. Don't fret, if anything, she's overly cautious! Yes, obligatory photo snapped in front of the DMV sign with her temporary license, but no permission to share. I don't know whether to cry tears of joy or sadness now that she can come and go in her own car.

Scheduled a drive test for my son at the junction city DMV. They literally have a sign out front…read morethat says park here for drive tests and allowed us to make an appointment for one online. When we got there the gargoyle with the bad makeup who was super overweight poked her head out and made a big scene about services at their particular location her attitude was ridiculous and it was very obvious she went inside and made a scene to her coworkers as well who continued to treat customers terribly. If you don't do drive tests at your location maybe you should take the big sign down out front that says park here for drive test I don't expect them to because she didn't seem very intelligent but I wouldn't suggest anybody else ever go to that DMV if you want to be treated like a human at all. No wonder people hate going to the DMV if those are the kind of behaviors that come from the workers there, absolutely disgusting behavior. Even if they did do drive tests I wouldn't allow those types of people to be in the vehicle with my son. As government workers you have a certain standard working with the public this is not your personal house and I really don't care what's going on in your personal life you should never ever treat people like you did today. I'm not shocked they're closing this location... if I was their boss I wouldn't let them work with the public either.

Some of the people that work their are helpful but some…read moreLeave a negative impression to reinforce the stereo typical state union worker. On my third visit for the same matter, Carlos Leon "helped" me and gave me opposite "guidance" from two other workers. I knew he was wrong but he would really listen. Thank goodness one of the ladies overheard and stepped in to correct his misinformation. He didn't say thanks for your help, didn't apologize to me, no acknowledgment that he was wrong. Poor character not to be able to acknowledge a mistake. He was ready to send me away and force me to jump through multiple hoops I didn't need to do and he could even say my apologies?
