2023/057 I haven't been in this Colton Post Office for years since i have no business to do so. Our locked mailbox was broken into about 2 weeks ago so I had picked up our 2 week's mail. With my previous visits , I've never encountered any bad service with the staff here. This post office is well kept and decent looking in spite structure was built 53 years ago. Street Drive thru free standing mailboxes are available if you need one. Passports are processed here to by appointment if ever you need one. Parking in front of the building is very limited so sometimes you have to wait for awhile for availability. I'm not sure of the street parking if any. I had to wait for 5 minutes for an available parking spot. There were only 2 postal staff worand 3 people before me waiting in line Got all my mails with no hitch but had to wait for few minutes for next window. read more

I rarely ever go inside the post office, but today I needed to send off a package. I didn't tape it because I'm used to going to the UPS Store where they're always so kind and tape it for me without an issue. The USPS employee helping me, though, was pretty rude. He told me, "Next time come prepared," and said he'd tape it this time, but he looked annoyed the entire interaction. It honestly caught me off guard. I thought USPS employees were paid well and trained for customer service, so I'm not sure why he was so cranky. I also needed to buy a roll of stamps, but I didn't want to "bother" him any further, so I'll just purchase them somewhere that actually deserves my business. The Colton Ca post office is the worst, they don't answer their phone and they don't deliver any advertisements at all, restaurant, store & fast food adds, including coupons. Are they just too lazy? Because I know these adds are out there, we just don't get them any more. I live in a condo complex, so all of the mail box's are grouped together, it's not like they have to travel, just put them in our boxes, PLEASE!!! read more

From IDs, medical forms, bank info etc. I'm truly starting to believe something shady is taking place here. I've called numerous times about my concerns about not receiving mail at my home. Each and every time I'm told someone will return my call. THEY NEVER DO!! And my mail is continuing to disappear... only the most important. This isn't 1 of the grandest post offices around but it is clean and functional. Parking on the street is readily available but the parking lot itself is rather small. I'm usually in and out of there in minutes. I suspect hardly anyone stops by or it could be that I've been incredibly lucky. Passport services are available by appointments only. read more

Missing packages tht they say were delivered. I watched the mailman come to my front door, just feet from my face. Then i get a message saying it was delivered when it was not! Try finding how to report it. If they say it was delivered you cannot tell them it was NOT. I have days of missing mail. Now missing packages. There are theives working here at this post office and everyone needs to be put on a poly. 51 years here and NEVER have had such bad service, disrespect etc. Sat spoke with a temp and all he did was complain about how therrible this route is. He was yelling at me, very rude saying how messed up things are. No phones are answered. Time to contact the Post Master General. read more

Horrible costumer service, is Sad that some people don't take pride in their job. Or what they do.! And as Colton residents, we are screwed. They're thieves at this location, infinity of lost packages but one in particular that cost me $889 dollars was the worst! I was returning a IPhone back to att and took it to this post office, got a confirmation and tracking number and apparently the package never left from here. So obviously att charged me that amount of money! Even tho I gave them the tracking number which it showed that the package never left this place.! Terrible. Customer service must be a foreign word to them. Manager for the delivery department is rude and really does not care about anything. After I wasted time to go there to pick up mail (broken mailbox) for my business (3 days no mail!!) I am told it's not there, the mail man has it. Only after I argued that I talked to him and he told me to get it from that post office they looked again and suddenly found it. I've had a PO box at this location for about a month and in that time they've taken 2-3 days to find a package twice and given away one of my packages to a different person once. The lines are also slow and long, so I get to wait 15 minutes in line in order for them to not find, or tell me they gave my package to someone else. I'm starting to believe all the other reviews about people missing multiple packages and being suspicious of them. I believed that having a PO box would be more secure, but i'm having more trouble in this month than I have previously just getting packages at home. Naturally, the clerks do not care and take no responsibility for their actions, so my lost packages are are met with "sorry I don't know what to tell you". read more

Horrible service My package never arrived and they cousins find it I kept bugging them for it until "they finally found it" the had it in a bucket because it was all broken and was a huge mess, hat I had got was liquids and glass. I guess they broke it even tho the package said "handle with care " and they tried hiding it hoping I wouldn't bug.... they kept making so many excuses of why they didn't know where it was... like " oh the box doesn't have your name on it, only address" ummm when I got the box it did have my name on it. Super slow ... prior to Covid it was bad but now it's worse!! The lady at the will call window told me she was going to the counter and closed the door in my face!! After she helped several other people with what they needed. So not only did I stand in a long line to try to pick up my mail but then I had to stand in an even longer line to still just pick up my mail. Ridiculous. read more

I came to the post office to send package. Lady said , I need to fill out the form with sender address and receiver address that's all. I was able to fill out, because I don't have glasses with me. The customer service is here was fine up until I was out of town and couldn't pay my PO box payment. The 10th fell on a Sunday and I only had cash. I went to the office Monday morning and they wanted to charge late fee. When I argued about the late fee Felix informed me if I can get proof they will waive it. So I went home grabbed proof and came back. He grabbed the supervisor who asked, "did I call anyone, to informed them I was going to be late?" I'm not sure how I am supposed to call a direct place of business with no phone numbers posted any where inside, on Goggle, or on Yelp. The supervisor told me to call the post master and he gave me the number. So now I call and its busy. I called the next morning and he talks to me and tells me he call me back in a hour. I waited till the afternoon to call back and when I called there was no help. Again, I was informed to call. When I first signed up for PO box there is no welcome package with important phone numbers. So I am not sure how else I am supposed to have these magical numbers. Other than that it's clean. Any other time I have came in contact with the workers its been ok. I have no other issues. read more

My mailbox is broken so I have to come pick up mail. Half the time office says they open 8:30 but they don't open doors until 8:45. Lines are super long and things take forever. I picked up my mail and the lady didn't give me all of it so have to return. It's horrible. For busy people like myself it really is frustrating because I have to block out like two hours out of my day just to pick up mail read more

Yeah cant understand we have our mail forwarded from the post office to another address because our mailbox needs to be relocated do do people busting into it and from the time it does the forward it takes minimum 20 days and it's only 10 miles to where it's forwarded does it make sense to me it's terrible and for 3 hours straight I have been trying to get through on the phone and it's busy that's 3 hours Non-Stop what a bunch of crap read more

Terrible customer service over the phone. I believe the guy's name is Daren. He's rude & inpatient. Doesn't call back after a message had been left/call back. Had the attitude of "ugh" and sloppy. if you can't handle working at a place where patience and helping other is #1 then get the f#*! Out!!!!!! I've been to this location for months and the ladies inside are nice & helpful. The phone line went to a busy tone every time you would call. Not anyone, they fixed it. Welp, appears other reviews here are accurate. Package I ordered that was supposed to be here a week ago, has seemed to just stopped at Colton post office. Or should I call it the lost office. Was fine when FedEx had it but as soon as it was left to this office, it's sat there for 10 days and still isn't moving. At this rate I imagine I will have to call the company I ordered from for a return. With all these similar poor reviews, you'd think management would do something? I brought a very small box in to send priority mail back east. I asked the clerk if she could tape the top. She said she couldn't. I told her every other time I've come to the Post Office they are more than happy to tape it. She replied, "Well, have you ever been to this Post Office before?" I don't know it is Colton or all post offices, but she wanted to charge me $3.50 and sell me a tiny roll of tape to cover the six inch box cover. If this policy came from higher up, shame on them. If this lady was just being rude, then shame on her. You would think it would behoove them to be polite and friendly. I guess being under the government umbrella gives them a different sense of entitlement. They lose billions a year that tax payers have to make up the difference. Can't even give me a piece of tape? Really bad service. I knew this counter worker spoke Spanish because I had heard her before, however when I spoke to her in Spanish she pretended she only spoke English. The other counter worker was also giving me an attitude and in all honesty I feel it is despicable that in my own city which is predominantly Hispanic I am shamed for my culture. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. This is the most inefficient, unproductive post office I've ever been to. Due to my community mail box being broken into I unfortunately have to go in to pick up my mail. They have the WORST customer service ever, each representative looks like they are severely depressed and hate their job. I have never been helped by a courteous representative to where I would even give them more than 1 star. They mis sort packages and I have to wait longer, and although mail is not being delivered to my street it still gets sent out on a truck for delivery. So that means I wait more business days to receive my packages. All in all I cannot wait for my mail box to get fixed so I never have to enter this post office again. read more

I usually only go here on Saturdays to pick up my packages to my pobox, and there's always this lady named Dee who's really friendly. She always has a smile on her face and makes me feel comfortable. If I have any tracking problems or questions about products she always helps me out. She's very knowledgeable and I can tell she likes her job. The only bad thing that I can say is I wish I could buy stamps on saturday. read more

Worst service ever I have a box I pick up my mail every morning I wait at least 5 mins to get a package no one ever came to window

Okay walked into Post office and there was an older couple in line ahead of me,I didn't see the Postal worker as there was a big box on the counter next to the customer filling out the address form while the line is building and I see the Postal worker sitting down waiting on her customer to finish paperwork. Okay more people walking in, the Postal worker then decides to help the customer by taping up the box for her, huh! Okay, usually you're asked to step aside and come back up when your box is ready to be mailed, huh instead line building more and she continues to help the customer who clearly wasn't ready to be assisted by the Postal worker, incredible and rude! Finally another postal worker came out and began working on the line as the other worker continues with the customer who clearly should have been asked to step aside, the only thing I got out of this is they both were black and she went the extra mile at our expense to help her black customer! Clearly out of line and rude! Thanks to the other postal worker who moved the line and helped everyone as he should and not by their color....the stars were for him! read more

I enjoy going to this post office. There is this girl Marsha who helps me with my mailings. She is so cute and very helpful. I wish I wasn't married because I think she is perfect! I wish the others were as friendly, helpful and cute as her. I give the office 5 stars because of her. read more

they're the most horrible post office, the will call is from 7:00 am to 9:00 am however they do not answer the door at all, they just ignore people ringing the bell for service. that's why a p.o. box in another city is best i have never encounter such bad service at a post office besides that the people that work there are so rude if they don't like what they do they should quit and let people that need a job and are nice work there. colton has a lot of rude people is as if that town is bitter or jinx cause most of the businesses in colton have rude people working there. such a shame.
