You can then still get a printed or emailed receipt just like at the counter. A lot faster than waiting in line (if you need a receipt for prepaid packages.) This is a big location and usually busy-ish but the line moves. Parking lot is nuts somehow so just make sure you check a million times before backing out of your spot.

Hmm they had to have my address to look me up to text me that they had an incomplete address. I tried to find information on the usps website, nothing. Attempted to use the email option, none of the select boxes came close to my issue. Tried calling the 1800 number, got stuck in a loop, never did figure out how to speak with someone. By the time I called my post office I was pretty wound up. The person I spoke with was fantastic, handled my questions with ease. The answer was: an item was sent to my address, but the addressee had a different name. Since it was not my mail, the postman returned it coding it undeliverable as addressed, and the computer generated the very confusing text message.

Sure, you can get stuck in line here (don't be a fool and come on a Saturday afternoon right before Christmas) but usually I am in and out fast. When I do get delayed, it is because some idiot brought a bunch of packages likely containing batteries and perfumes and bombs and needs extra insurance on each of them... so they take a while. There isn't much the USPS can do about staffing for these situations anyway. So, just come at non-lunch hours and you will have no problems with this place.
