No accountability. Took a day off from work to sign for an expensive package that was paid for one day. USPS and FedEx both arrived and drove down my driveway to deliver. UPS tied packages to my mailbox on a highway then proceeded to mark the signature package as inclement weather and left with it. Mind you the driveway was clear and it was 4 days since the last snowfall. 800 number is junk and useless. read more

I can't emphasize enough how lazy these people are. My overnight package was delayed, now while that was not their fault, I was told by UPS 800 number that I could go pick it up there. When I get there the two smug employees behind the counter basically said they wouldn't go get the package. Kept blaming "inclement weather." I'm not sure why inclement weather was stopping them from walking in the back, picking up my package and handing it to me. All in all, they are just flat unhelpful, lazy and rude. This afternoon my daughter and I needed to mail some gifts. I asked to purchase a box and Chad and Steve said they will check the back. They came back with two boxes that the items fit into and even gave us bubble wrap that was from previous customers. After having various delivery companies drop packages off at our home for the past 47 years, I must complement your company employees. They are the best. Rarely is there a problem. Packages are either placed in plastic box I have or covered with poor weather. Every employee is have met is pleasant, courteous and respectful. We live in a rural area and realize weather and holidays can cause delays, but it's not common. Other companies don't even remotely compare. Thanks for everything. I had an express package that I paid more than $20 in shipping for slated to arrive today that I urgently needed before tomorrow. My husband happened to also be expecting a package. The driver cited "An emergency situation or severe weather condition has delayed delivery." It snowed days ago and was sunny all day today. My driveway was mostly clear of snow. I'm a stay-at-home Mom and I drove up it BACKWARDS IN MY MINIVAN from the bustop. It is FINE. When I called the national customer service 800 number they were very polite but the woman that they had call me back from Colonie was extremely rude and kept interrupting me. She clearly had no interest in solving a problem for me so much as deflecting bad service. She then accused me of yelling when I raised my voice to be heard over hers. When I explained to her the driver was either lying or inept, and told her that the driveway had been plowed 2 days ago by a pro and was more than driveable, she said, "see you just said there was snow." Like she was trying to trip me up in a lie or something ridiculous and generally argumentative. Jack A package was shipped to me in Albany from Chicago by ground. Shipping time about seven days, no problem. Except it didn't show. I called and UPS started an "investigation", they found it in San Pablo, CA. New delivery time, seven days, OK. Except after four days, it was still in CA. Got through to Latham Hub and lady confirmed it was still in CA. She told me to call CA to see if I could get it moving. I asked why I should call rather then UPS dealing with it. She gave me attitude and said it was MY package! This "triggered" me, as they say, and I emphatically and succinctly explained that that's what I payed UPS to do! I asked her for the information she had to do this, She said "no" and hung up. UPS incompetency has delayed delivery so long, I no longer need the package and will refuse delivery if it ever does happen. The sender can put in a claim. I'm done with UPS. read more

Ordered parts for a machine, as I work at a factory where this machine not working is costing us tens of thousands of dollars a day. The vendor was great, and sent the package overnight. Problem is, UPS doesn't deliver here on Saturday, and didn't notify either of us during the process. Now I am trying to get ahold of someone to go and pick it up, as this is costing our factory $60k, roughly, with the extra two days we have to wait, and you have no ability to get an agent on the phone. This company is absolutely ridiculous; I paid for next day shipping they attempted to drop off to my apartment on Friday but wouldn't do so because I wasn't home so they dumped my package at some sketchy gas station that they call "an access point" to pick up on Monday. Every time I have a delivery which requires signature the driver does not notify myself or my husband. No attempt is actually made and apparently they do not even get off the truck. I spoke with an agent and s/he told me that the tracking provided by the seller was not in my name but they cannot fill a clam for me. I went to Ebay to clam a refund but they denied it saying that the tracking shows delivered. i lost money Second, I asked for the next day Air saver and paid for it but the next day, they said the driver could see the receiver address and just cancelled my delivery. After many calls on the third day to get the package, that I need urgently, the reason why i opted and paid for next day Air saver, I was told the package will be delivered in two business days, which is the fifth day. The state of which my packages were dropped off was absolutley unacceptable. The first package had the top of it busted open causing the contents to spill out when I picked it up. Also the shelves were damaged so I called Amazon in order to exchange it. The second package arrived in worse shape with the box busted open laying on my bottom step with the contents spilled out on my lawn. I contacted UPS to file a complaint and when a Latham associate called me she shifted all blame on the shipper and took no responsibility for the state of the box, while cutting me off and getting defensive towards me. Mind you I did not raise my voice even though I'm the one left to pick up the remnants of the blown out box off my lawn. Allowing a package to bust open and just drop it on my step is absolutely unacceptable no matter how you try to spin it. I ordered a TV and on May 7th I got a sticker on the door that I missed my delivery but I never went out. Anyway, it was schedule for the 8th and they never showed up. I now have UPS choice where I can follow up where they are, I had two other small packages as well do when I saw the driver I ran to meet him so I don't miss it. He gave me the two smaller packages and I asked if he had my tv and he said yes. I told him that I will Tun upstairs to bring the small packages while he go get the tv out of the truck. Instead he waited for me to go up the stairs and he left. I Keog following up thinking they were going g to bring my tv and never showed up do I call UPS and they send a message to the location. I get a call from Ashley advising that the driver is a personal friend of hers and that he is sorry and would not be able to deliver until Monday and the reason he left is because the tv had been in their warehouse all this time and was never loaded into any truck. I tried explaining to her that how is that possible when I received a notice of missing the first delivery. She started screaming at me and telling me I just have to wait until whenever they can deliver. I no longer want to do online purchases that use UPS as a delivery. If they take the time out to look at zip code they will see im the colonie location. But they always ship to all other cities but mine. My package was sent back for "missing or incorrect apartment number" even though the apartment number is definitely correct on the tracking page. I'm thinking it's because my apartment sign is a bit faded and might blend in with the white paint behind it if you don't look closely. Even so, if they took two seconds to look at my left and right side neighbor's giant signs, they would've saved me a 3 hour drive to and back from the delivery center. Recently the local UPS driver has failed to deliver packages to my residence, the information I have obtained when I call the UPS 800 number is that the address is incorrect, when I confirm the address with the customer service rep it turns out the address they have is the correct one. The only thing I can figure is that the delivery person would need to walk up my driveway uphill to my house about 100 feet from the road and he is just too lazy to do this. Deliveries always either end up at the wrong address, or if they make it to my home they are damaged and thrown anywhere from my side walk to my yard to my stairs , never just carefully set by my door like every other carrier.
