This was my first time ever seeing this employee. I ship out packages from here with fedex packaging never with any issues from the younger Asian gentleman who has helped me all the other times. Older Caucasian guy didn't bother to say "hello" when he first saw me, he also assumed I didn't want a receipt I had to ask him to print me one and he seemed unhappy about it. As I grabbed the receipt from him i looked at his name tag and thanked him saying his name. He seemed caught off guard I can't remember his name...I'm not a Karen I swear I just expect decent customer service and like to share my negative experiences...He also asked "what are you doing?" As I was taking photos of my packages to send to my customers.... I'd give this location 5 stars (I live nearby) if I was basing my review on location, cleanliness, and customer service from the younger Chinese guy. Thank you to him for always giving great customer service and very helpful! He deserves a raise, the other guy needs to take some notes from him.

With the loss of the location right next to the airport, having this location open up on the opposite side of 205 is basically just as convenient. Even better, I've been able to just walk in and approach the counter immediately, every time. The place is usually empty, and the attendant on duty must frequently be summoned with the bell out front. No passport services offered here (yet), but they are apparently working on adding this in the future. Other than that, it's your usual post office, so you know what to expect...except the lines. Hopefully it'll stay that way! Also, big shout out to Bing, who (in addition to being the only employee I've seen work here), is very helpful and friendly, even helping me save $10 by on my last mailed package by offering me a cheaper shipping option!

Everytime I buy one of your money orders, it comes with three voided money orders which is a full page. I don't understand why this continues to happen. It is such a huge waste of paper. I don't know if it's something that Plaid Pantry does because their employees aren't properly trained but it all falls back to you anyway. I have complained about this before and it's still happening. This day and age we can't afford to be so wasteful. Your company has wasted so much paper and i think it's only right that National Express money orders does their part and corrects this problem for the sustainability of our world. I was really looking forward to mailing from the Bridal Veil Falls Post Office often and getting their unique postmarks. Not anymore. This is my problem. The last week of August, I wrote 14 letters to friends and family. 12 of them were returned. The yellow tag said, Unable to forward. Return to sender. This is where I call B.S. 1. All valid addresses. I mailed myself an empty envelope for the postmark. It was one of the 12 returned. 2. None of the envelopes were over an ounce. Remember that I mailed myself an Empty Envelope. I asked my local post office about this and got some stupid answers from Lilly who talked with the Post Master at my Fairview location. She literally didn't know what the problem was and tried to tell me because they are busy it happens. NOT ACCEPTABLE Lilly. She tried to tell me that some of the addresses were invalid and actually looked the top one up. I said, uh Lilly. That address your looking up is my niece whom I've mailed several letters to, so ya, its a valid address and then I picked up my envelope i mailed myself and said, what about this one? This is my address. See how it matches my Return Address? Lilly's response, I see that. Me, so is this not a valid address? Lilly, uh. Then she tried to say maybe they were over the 1 ounce limit. Me, what about this envelope that is empty? Lilly, let me see that, holds it up to the light and sees it's empty. Me, smiling. That's when I got the Lame Story About How They Didn't Make A Mistake. Oh ya. I've got 12 things that said the post office failed me. Lessons learned. The worst part is there is no one to complain to. There is no recourse. So all you brides to be that desperately want that Bridal Veil Falls Post Office Postmark. Beware. I was out less than 10 bucks. What if I had mailed a 100 wedding invitations from this location?

It's a huge building, well ordered and with lots of light. You sign in and are given a special tag…read moreto wear with the room number. Parking is a breeze even if you have to pay for it. Besides, the workshop I attended was free of charge. And taking public transportation, depending on where you live perhaps, can be fun in Portland. Back to the Metro Regional Center. I attended a social media workshop for marketing your own business -- in case you missed that from my pictures. Interestingly, Yelp was mentioned a number of times as far as getting more testimonials written about your business. Unfortunately, being an editor and writing coach, I am not sure my business fits the Yelp model, but now you know! And you can always shoot me a DM. Even though I had been asked to bring my own lunch -- this class being offered from 12:30 to 2:30PM -- the SBDC hosted the event with plenty of vegetarian options to snack on (yay, Greek wine leaves with rice) and the water was nice and cold. Definitely will try to attend more meetings here.

I like to lead a healthy & low impact existence but it isn't always convenient. Sure, now we have the big blue bin that I can throw my paper, plastic bottles and cat food cans into, but where do I recycle my block styrofoam or my old computer parts for free? Where can I get some info on how to compost my food scraps at home without buying some $15 book on home composting? How about a list of DIY at-home green cleaners made with ingredients from my local Freddy's? And then, there was Metro. Not only does Metro have free pamphlets on all of this info plus more, you can also get all of the info off of their website at: http://www.metro-region.org/ and save trees (if your a hippie like me and can't help but consider those lovely trees) They have info on: - nature & local GreenScene activities - garbage & recycling - sustainable living - getting around Portland w/o a car - planning & conservation For those of you with families out there they have "Story & a stroll at Tryon Creek" geared towards kids in nature. If you are a novice green-thumb like me in the spring/summer they offer FREE classes on natural gardening. Or even if you don't recycle at all, but your neighbor asks you what they can do with their old car tires, you can give them Metro's recycling # 503-243-3000, and you have just done your good deed for the day. Overall Metro gives me good balance. I can be lazy, yet proactive. I let them gather the info and then I take advantage of it. Thanks for doing the legwork Metro, now I can feel better about myself! ; )
