I generally dont use anything but the self-serve machine at post offices anymore. It is quicker for me than waiting in line. With that said, I did go in December and had o go in the line due to shipping something internationally. I had the Customs Forms filled out and ready to go. I felt like, yeah I was on the ball and wouldn't be that guy holding up the long Christmas line at the window. Wrong. I was that guy. The clerk told me that I had the wrong form and had me fill it out. Then as soon as I was done, she was like, why don't you just use a different envelope and save yourself a lot of money, and we can use your original form? Really? Why did we just figure this out? For granted she saved me a lot of money but I'm pretty sure she knew which one was going to be cheaper (one was Priority while the other was just a brown envelope) just by looking. I do appreciate the savings but it could have been more efficient. Also, there was some discrepancy between the clerks on breaks. I guess someone was sent to break and the other person didn't agree. Anyways, instead of just letting the issue go and discussing it elsewhere and at another time they kind of fought about it RIGHT there for the entire time I was at the counter. Not professional. C'mon ladies. read more

This is our go to post office that we visit on a weekly basis to send our daughter packages. My wife tends to do everything from home and then we ship it off here so it'll go out that day. There have been a few times that we've needed to go to the service desk. We'll wait for George if he is working as he's not only friendly but efficient and gets everything done correctly. read more

I've never been to a post office with more rude employees. These people genuinely seem like they do not want to be there and don't want to help ANYONE. I used to go into this post office at least once a week, if not three times a week, but I will now avoid coming to this location because of the employees. read more

Every time I come to this office, the workers yap and yap and yap about their own personal matters to uninterested looking customers. Don't get me wrong I'm all for upmost customer service but not to the detriment of other customers having to spend 20-30 minutes in a 3-4 person line. The workers are nice and professional, they are just a lot slower than I'm used to when it comes to sending out certified mail on business time. read more

This post office hires lazy carriers. If it's not your regular mail man/lady, packages will get scanned "no access" and left for the regular to re deliver read more

why are they not open during the hours posted on the door?! Full Service from 8:30 to 4:30. LIARS!!!

This post office refuses to consistently deliver mail to my apartment. Every couple of months mail delivery stops and the carrier leaves a form in my box asking for the names of the people who live at the address. (And it's not even an official government form. It's like someone printed it out their home printer.) I fill it out, delivery resumes for a month or two, and then it stops again. I have given up. Worse, they return the mail to sender saying I don't live at the address. They don't even hold it for me at the post office for me to pick up. It's ridiculous. When I moved there I filled out a change of address form at my old address, and specified my new address. That should be all I need to do. read more

Happy to find two self service stations (one is behind the wall when you first enter) at this location, both clean and functioning. There was a short line but it seemed to be moving along, which is great considering we're just three days from Christmas. The self service user interface is easy to follow and allowed me to mail my packages without the line. Plenty of parking and clearly marked drive through drop boxes. Can't ask for much more. read more

Absolutely ridiculous. Anytime someone sends something that needs to be signed for, I never get it. I show up and my package is never at the post office. I put the damn slip in the box as instructed and my package is just returned to sender. Absolutely impossible. Their system is broken and they don't do their job of delivering my mail. read more

Worst post office. DO NOT USE. Mail was returned in a week. Their policy SUPPOSEDLY has been updated for mail for PO Boxes to 14 days. Yet my items were return in SEVEN DAYS. Just UPS or FedEx! USPS is unqualified to handle mail. read more

One of my better experiences at the post office. Jorge who helped us with shipping our box internationally was friendly and helpful. There was another man, I assume the manager, who walked around and helped people while they waited in line and helped direct us to the correct form to fill out for an international shipment. 10/10, would drive out of my way to come here again. read more

Post employees here are somewhat incompetent, not able to navigate the USPS system correctly and also not taking to correct resources when they don't know. Wasted over 50 mins of my time and told me unable to ship my package. Went to another location and had no problem. I'd recommend the location on N Colorado for competent service and brighter atmosphere. I was working with Jorge on sending an item valued over $2500 to an APO. Jorge kept telling me "the system won't let me do it, you need an AES IT". I showed Jorge on the USPS website where it says APOs are exempt from AES. He told me "you need to file for an exemption." Which is totally wrong, I said no the exemption is applied to the shipment via the noted exemption box, not filed for. Jorge went on to say he couldn't do it and the "system wouldn't let him" I need to "file for an AES IT". Tried to get me to insure for less than $2500 which puts me at liability for loss if damaged. I told him it sounds like a user error on using system and he said no. Instead of going to a superior or having someone else look at it Jorge just said he couldn't do it. Relissa just shrugged her shoulders from afar. I called USPS and while on hold I called the neighboring location on N Colorado St. They said to go to their location. It took me over 50 mins wasted time where I was waiting in line and on hold trying to contact National USPS number, but after I arrived at N Colorado location they had it ready to go in less than 10 mins. They told me you have to enter NOEEI before the exemption numbers and letter. They said the system tells you that. Jorge should have been trained better or contacted someone that knew, a supervisor or this neighboring store. Only giving two stars because after calling the supervisor and explaining to him after all was done (why they didn't give me the supervisor when I asked for the post master with Jorge, I don't know) he said he would speak about the issue and make sure training covered it. If you don't want to waste your time go to the N Colorado location. They are more knowledgeable and brighter atmosphere there. read more

I am surprised to read all the negative reviews for this post office. I've been inside the post office about a handful of time the past two years and have always had a positive experience. I was nervous the first couple times because the postal workers back in Chicago were always mean and gave attitude like you were wasting their time. At this location, I've generally worked with this one woman who sits all the way to the left. Their is also a guy I've dealt with who usually sits in the middle or the right. I wish I had both their names. They are both always so kind and seem happy to help. read more

The mail for the post office boxes is NEVER up in time.

I was apprehensive when I read all the terrible reviews for this post office, but it was the most convenient for me so I took the trip. Went at 1pm, encountered a small line. The employees were very courteous and worked through the line very quickly. All three cashiers were present with an extra employee walking down the line asking if anyone needed help or had any questions on anything, she was very helpful! I went in to get some envelopes and a money order. The employee who got my money order was very friendly and offered me some help since I hadn't gotten one before. I honest to god have no idea why this place is struggling at 2 1/2 stars. Take a deep breath and relax people. It's a post office, not a 3 star michelin restaurant. read more

I had a package delivered to the wrong location but I received a key for the other parcel with someone else's package. The usps driver is completely negligent and have no respect for peoples items. This has happened multiple times. I don't get it. I understand people are short staffed but that's no excuse for negligence. Spoke to the supervisor that basically my package is lost now. I wish I didn't have to deal with them but my only option is to move. read more

Super friendly staff. Everyone who is within 3 feet of you smiles and speaks. Jorge stepped up to assist me as soon as I walked in. His coworker was already helping someone. Last Saturday At about 11:00am I mailed a letter guaranteed to be in Sacramento by 3:00pm Monday. I paid the $25.00 fee to make sure it would arrive in time. Guess what! Tuesday morning it still had not arrived! I went to the Chandler Post office to find out where it ended up. The manager stated it was still on its way, but could not confirm exactly where it was as of 11:00 am Tuesday. I was worried due to the importance of the paperwork in the envelope. He acted like it was no big deal. I asked him for the refund since it was not delivered as guaranteed. He stated he could not refund me until it was delivered. I said it was past the time and advised I wanted the loss refunded. No go. A lady standing beside me waiting stated she sent an overnight letter in January and last heard it was somewhere in Des Moines, 5 months later. It still had not been delivered. Still waiting on a refund and answers. The manager said to come back after it was delivered. I pointed to the lady and said I was not going to wait 5 months. As it was, I lost thousands due to the lack of promised delivery. I could have driven it there or flown there myself, but no, I trusted the US government run post office to deliver it on time. Big mistake. Disband the USPS and privatize it. In the mean time use anyone else- Fed Ex, anyone, just don't support the postal service. read more

I know the USPS is debt-plagued, losing billions per year, so we can't just automatically blame the employees for being overwhelmed, understaffed, and undertrained. Therefore, my issue is more with the overall USPS systems they have in place. Long story short, I had a package which required a signature so a notice was left at my home. The notice stated that I could either sign it and leave it for redelivery, request redelivery online, or I could go into the post office. I left the signed form out for 3 business days and nothing. I then went online to USPS.com and scheduled a redelivery for the next business day, leaving my signed form out on the front door. After another 5 days, nothing, and no updates to the tracking. I called USPS; the wait was over an hour and I was disconnected after they closed the office. I called this local office the next day and could not get anyone to pick up the phone. I decided to go into this location to track down my package. The employee told me that it was MY FAULT because I should have known to come get the package since it required a signature. For future reference, I asked about the instructions on the official notice and why the USPS.com redelivery request was missed. In an annoying tone, I was told by the employee that they do not respond to redelivery requests when it needs a signature, so again, this was my fault. This is obviously B.S. and the USPS systems have absolutely no accountability, no checks/balances, and no reasonable recourse when problems arise. read more

I came to this post office with a few questions about mailing items I'm selling online. I was literally the only one in line at noon and the man who called me up to the counter seemed very annoyed I had questions. He told me to go look on the website and when I told him I did but I still had a few questions he sighed. He then said it was stupid for me to use cardboard envelopes and told me to use paper envelopes. I told him I'm selling these items so they can't get bent in the mail and he sighed again. What is the deal with this particular Post Office?! This is the third time I have encountered this location having taken up to 2 days to even SCAN Priority 2 Day Mail. I just used this post office. As with any post office the life was long, but the difference is they had two people walking through to see if they could handle anything that didn't need the desk so it moved quickly. Of course I had to buy something (versus pick something up or drop something off) so I stayed in line, just to be greeted by a friendly guy with jokes. Great experience, I'll be sticking to this location from here on out! read more

This is the best post office I've been to in AZ. All the materials for flat rate mailing were out in plain site. There was a counter to prepare the packages and a writing utensil. When I was ready to mail my packages, the lady at the counter took me right away (there were 3 employees at the counter). It was not as busy as I had expected for a Saturday at noon. The lady was super friendly and incredibly fast at getting the packages scanned (I had 4) and ready to mail. I am super impressed with this location and will be returning. read more

I dropped 2 boxes off on 2/9 - both sent 2 Day Priority guaranteeing delivery on 2/12 . It's now 2/14 & both packages are still not at their destination, in fact both tracking numbers show their still in AZ. Unacceptable considering what I paid to get them there in 2 days. Oddly, dropped another box at the Ahwatukee location on 2/12, same box & same priority, same location...made it on time today. Locations do make a difference! I will never step foot in this one again. read more

Every time I come to pick up a parcel package it takes so long. Today is the last time I'm risking taking time out of my break to pick something up. I was the 4th person in line and it took a whole 20 mins (watching the clock) to help one person. I left knowing it would probably be about another 20-25 until it was my turn. I used to dread going to this US Post Office location and would drive all the way over to the Post Office at Sun Lakes (Ace Hardware) instead. In the past year, this location has improved so much I can't believe it! The windows are staffed, they have a Kiosk with an attendant, and they often come out and ask if anyone just needs to pick up mail or a package. Service is definitely very friendly, although I miss Leslie who I hear transferred to another location. I think you will be very impressed with how attentive this location has become. Very busy but always not enough workers to help out. Always a long line of complaining customers. They also keep on losing my mails and lost my packages that I had paid to ship to TX by placing it in a bad, non-secure area. Why would they do that if not to purposely not deliver my package or left it to be stolen. Don't go here.
