I'm honestly really heartbroken by what happened here. I arrived at 4:59pm on Friday, Feb 6 (literally one minute before closing) just trying to drop off two small packages that were already stamped and ready to go. They were for a little girl's birthday, and it was the one thing she had been excited about. The employee working, Robert, locked the door and refused to take them, even though I was already there before closing and it would have taken just a moment. When I asked if a manager was available, he said there wasn't one. I understand everyone wants to go home at the end of the day, but sometimes a tiny act of kindness can mean a lot to someone else. The service I received at the USPS office in Buda TX on Cabela Drive was friendly, professional, polite and rapid. The facility is clean, well arranged, and well organized. The parking area is clean and adequate. read more

The rudest employees ever. I drove up to the mailbox to drop a letter off right as the employee was unloading the mailboxes. I asked him if I should put the letter in, hand it to him, or wait until he was done unloading the mailboxes. He didn't look at me, answer, or even acknowledge that another human being was standing in front of him asking a question about what to do with a letter, which is literally his job. I gave him the benefit of the doubt bc he did have headphones on and I could hear loud music playing, so I asked again, probably 5 times total, and he never even looked up or acknowledged me. I finally said sir, hello! Do I give to you or what? Without looking up, he said "no" and kept doing what he was doing. What a miserable person. Michon is the sweetest! We just moved to the Austin area and I went in to get my mail key for my neighborhood. She made me feel so welcomed to the community and we hit it off chatting. Not only that, she memorized my face (even more impressive in a mask!) because I came in to mail a package a couple days later and she remembered me and again today. That's a level of attention to detail that few folks bother with in a professional setting, so I really applaud her and appreciate it. All that said, you are likely to encounter a line at this post office, especially if you're coming close to closing on a weekday. To be expected; it's a little post office with just two windows and it's a growing town! Michon is keeping that small town charm alive by getting to know me (and I can only assume, all new residents). There are plenty of PO Boxes inside, lots of parking spots outside, and a drive-thru if you just need to drop off standard letter-sized mail. read more

I've pretty much given up going to this post office. The staff are sloppy, my mail carrier has delivered other people's packages and mail to me on several occasions, and a recent query about a package I got sent that disappeared from my communal block mailbox went precisely nowhere. I never received a pink slip that my mail was attempted to be delivered, I go to the post office, and they can't find my package when it should be there. I give my number to an employee to reach me, I get no call back, and this location does not answer their phone. I have been calling for the past 30 mins and no answer. This is one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a mail carrier and mail service. I honestly don't feel comfortable with the mail carrier here delivering my mail. For about a year I have been getting other people's mail that don't live here and even though I have informed the mail carrier I am still receiving the mail. The mail carrier also put my mail on hold last week for no reason and not at my request without informing me which was very unprofessional and not necessary. I have spoken to the supervisor as well as the carrier, however, I am extremely dissatisfied with their explanations and service. read more

I love this post office! After dealing with many in Austin- it is so nice to have friendly faces that look like they actually enjoy being there. I had a package that was "lost" in Houston and they kept looking for it and even called me when it arrived (20 days late). The lobby is TINY but they get you in and out quickly and with a smile. Our roads are under construction so we have all neighborhood mail being held right now, so I make a USPS trip a few times a week and I have always had good service, even when the lines were super long the day after Thanksgiving (they actually called people from the back to help which is unheard of ! ) I love BUDA and this is part of one of the things that makes this town great. read more

It's a post office. They're usually very friendly but very busy. They don't answer their phones, but in Buda it isn't that hard to drive by -- the only thing that sucks is them not answering the phone. Also I wish they were open later. Till 7 would be better because not everyone that lives in Buda works in buda. If we can't come until after work, we basically can't pick up a package that required a signature. :/ I started sending stuff to my job but I feel that's unprofessional at times. So now I only order things that can be placed in the mailbox. read more

I have never experienced such rudeness before. I walked in for a refund - I had paid for a priority mail express delivery for a package to be delivered and it did not arrive until four days later. I asked about a refund as I did not have the receipt (the person who paid for it was out of country) BUT I DID HAVE THE TRACKING NUMBER. The woman at the front desk said that she couldn't do anything without the receipt and I would have to come back with it once the sender was back in the country. I asked about their 30 day money back policy (since my brother would not be back in town until AFTER the time was up) and she said that if it's not done within 30 days, its my problem, not theirs. I watched my mailman knock our mailbox off the post. Really, Not sure what we did to piss him off! When I complained to the postal clerk, she wasat least nice enough to stop her cell phone conversation to roll her eyes at me. I then complained to the post master who said "it's not my problem". Seriously, I've lived in kyle for 5 years and have yet to experience good customer service here. I described my problem with getting my mail at my new house and the lady knew exactly which form I needed, when my request would be fulfilled and when I could come back to pick up a new set of keys for my mail box. read more

This review is for the 800 number that one calls when in need of assistance. I was not receiving my forwarded mail and the recording said I had to hold between 35 and 50 minutes for an associate. Ridiculous! The system should take my number and have the associate call me back. Very poor customer service. read more

Buda P.O. never answered their phone and the 800 number is a recording that goes on forever then it tells you have 45 minutes to wait. My neighborhood cluster mailbox was run over by a car and I want to know how Im going to get my mail. read more

Best Post Office I have ever been to. They are all so nice and helpful. I live off West Slaughter and drive down there because that's how awesome they are. Even at Christmas time they told me to run out and get the other packages I had in my car. Who does that?!? Not any Post Office that I have ever been too. While waiting for a package I was notified that it had been marked "undeliverable." I called USPS to figure out the issue. Apparently because my mailbox is all the way up my driveway and not at the street, the mailman couldn't find me. The man on the phone contacted his driver and had him turn around as he routed him back my way. I watched the poor delivery driver from afar. After a few donuts in the middle of the road and mailbox-searching, he saw me standing in the middle of the road (from his rearview mirror!) I would have been pretty annoyed and ready to give up if I was him. I gotta give it to the mailman and the man on the USPS line, great work and awesome communication! I would rather spend 10 times more money than deal with the nasty person who just waiting on me again! I will never use the post office to mail my packages again! This woman is usually very nice, but today she was one of the worst Customer Service people I have dealt with in 40 years. The funny thing is I can save money and use UPS. The post office was saying it had to be express mail to get there by Christmas. It would have ran in the 200 dollar range. It was 50 at UPS, and they were nice to me. Awful - Have a listed number but never answer phone. Point of contact failure. I guess they think their time is to valuable to assist customers with import issues regarding delivery or important certified letters. USPS tracking stated out for delivery. Two days letter the letter is not yet delivered and status still says our for delivery. Shameful Service. Managers need to wake up down there. read more
