Probably the worst postal jurisdiction in the United states! I am yet to receive a package or mail on time! It's funny that when tracking mail from Thailand to this post office everything is prompt and on time until it arrives at this post office! Then if its not totally lost u must wait a week after its,arrival to pick it up! Forget about the carrier delivering ur paclage, that's not going to happen! Then u think let me call to see what the problem is! Nope, their phone is off the hook constantly just so u can't call! This post office needs to shut down immediately! Checked the mail today to see a slip from the USPS that says "Sorry we missed you!" and a date that my package would be available for pick up. Here's the catch... it's Saturday and my roommate and I have been home all day! It would have been nice if they at least tried ringing the buzzer as, like everyone else in this city, I have a busy schedule and it's hard to make time to go out of my way to get a package that could have been delivered one of the few times I was actually home. read more

Ok consider yourself warned!!!!!....my daughter just called me in tears after a visit to this post office. Rude and unprofessional does not even come close to describing what she experienced. There were moments when she actually felt threatened with the possibility of bodily harm. The saddest part is that there is absolutely nothing a consumer can do, besides to never ever step foot in this hell hole of bitter confusion because their is behavior condoned and insulated by management and OUR USPS. read more

The worst post office I've ever been in. Dirty and disgusting, outdated signage and materials, rude employees and impossible lines. I once waited over 40 minutes for a package. I then had to remind them I was still waiting. It seems like they are disorganized and lose things in the back room. I pay extra for shipping just to avoid this place because it is such an unpleasant experience. The manager doesn't have control over the office and the place is out of control. Their hours are also awful. No one who works is able to get there between 9-5 on weekdays. They need more extended hours to accommodate. This is why on Saturdays the place is always a zoo. Just another example of a poorly run government institution, wasting time and resources. Yet we are forced to keep going back since it's our neighborhood post office. Awful. I wish it could change because the people of this community deserve better than this. read more

This is the worst post office in all the post offices that I have ever been to. This is my neighborhood and obviously there is no other way for me to get these services but I can only hope and pray that some governing body seek to remedy this situation. There is never a time I could come here and spend less than 45 mins to get somethings as simple as a stamp. Little "technological advances " like a stamp machine would help that situation. More than one teller at a time would also help the congestion. Specialized Windows would also help. This is literally the worst post office I've ever experienced. First of all, I've waited at home for packages because I know the mail carriers refuse to bring the package to my door. Half the time, they don't even buzz up and just leave a pink slip in the mailbox. When I actually go to the post office, they never have enough people working and the line is out the door. I had a rather large package attempt to be delivered but they wouldn't bring it to me because it was too heavy. So I hired a mover to help me pick it up. Then they couldn't find it! Meanwhile, there is a pretty intense arguing match going on between the supervisor and a customer for losing packages they just brought. I will never use USPS for packages again. FedEx and UPS from now on. read more

If I could give ZERO stars I would. THE ONLY way you will get results is if you complain through the 800 number. The managers at this location are just as ghetto as the employees. Problem 1- in 2013 I ordered stuff from Macy's my package was delivered to the wrong apartment. For 2 weeks I tried to no avail to ask where my package was; I kept getting the run around. I even filed a claim. It was denied. Problem 2- my package truck driver asked me for my number, I politely declined. I stopped getting my packages. From June 10th to October 14th I had to go to the post office to get my packages. On the date of every delivery; I would track my package & would see "customer not home notice left". I'm home every mornings because I work nights & there was no notice. It wasn't until I started complaining EVERY time I would miss a package, I called the 800 number & filed complaints. The 1st package I received since June was on October 15th. Problem 3- on 10/16/15 I went to the post office to mail a letter to Cali. When I got home I noticed the receipt for the zip said Oregon. I went back to the post office and told the clerk there was a mistake on the zip. She gave me the envelope back & it was her who made the mistake. So I told her. She said "lemme see". She proceeded to fix it & was still making a mistake with the zip. I verbally corrected her. In the end she didn't even say she was sorry. She just looked at me like I was crazy. I think the employees at this post office are very sad individuals. I personally deal with them they way they deal with me. read more

I've lived in the neighborhood for four years and have had nothing but problems receiving and sending mail. Mail has been opened by them, stolen or gone missing dozens of times. The package delivery person, apparently, dislikes delivering packages and will rudely refuse to deliver packages and has insisted that I go pick it up at the post office myself several times. read more

I have been at this empire post office many times it seems as they have no training ,the clerks are friendly but the supervisor is the very rude,not the tall bright one the shorter one.The line are horrible ,lobby dirty and messy,and it's seems that they need to be retrained,it is so sad that when the elderly need to ask a question no one answers the phone ever I have been on hold for at least 1.5 hours to me that is unacceptable especially when you see them standing around laughing and joking . read more

I wish I could give zero stars. Absolutely deplorable. All post offices are, but this one in particular is just awful. Aside from the usual nasty attitudes of the workers there, there is usually just one or two workers at any point with nasty attitudes. This place is too busy to have only one or two. I was just there trying to pick up a package; I was about the 15th person in line, they had one person working the window it seemed. Then that one person just disappeared for about ten minutes. For ten minutes not a single person was at a window with a line that was at that point about 25 people deep. I had to give up and leave because I simply don't have what would have taken 6 hours to do. Something needs to be done about this place. read more

I've lived around the corner from this Post Office for over three years and I'm down there about 3-4 times a week. Usually the lines are at their longest on the 1st of the month when all the locals are down there buying money orders for the rent. A major problem there (and many other branches, I presume) are that MOST OF THE PEOPLE IN LINE generally don't go there very much so they don't always have a clue about packaging, customs forms, Express vs Priority, delivery slips, tracking numbers, delivery confirmation, passport photos, etc. The staff are always cool with me because whenever I'm there I've already got everything boxed up with the customs forms already filled out. So many people that enter the place are stupid enough to think that the PO gives out free packing tape (which they only do if you're shipping stuff Priority). This lobby is smaller than a lot of the apartments around here which is why the lines look so long. On average, I spend less than 10 minutes in line, no matter what time or what day I go there. I really like the fact that I don't have to pay the $2.50-$5 MTA costs to travel to a different location. It seems like everyone just complains about picking up packages there. read more

I went to this post office hopeful that it wouldn't be as bad as everyone had claimed and unfortunately it was worse. I was supposed to have a package delivered to my apt and they claimed the package was "undeliverable" even though i always get regular mail there. There was no note no nothing. If i hadn't checked the status of my purchase i would have never even known what happened. I called USPS and they said that my item was scanned as Undeliverable BEFORE mail had even gone out that day and the package was still at the post office. I tried to call the post office non stop all afternoon that day and continued to get a busy signal! ALL DAY i got a busy signal! After reading another review about how they leave the phone off the hook i gave up. They're only open 9-5 so i had no way of getting there after work. I went the next morning only to receive terrible attitude from whoever was giving out packages. It's not my fault your mail carriers can't read an address or scan as undeliverable when they don't feel like finding an address. You have one job, i suggest you do it or find somewhere else to work instead of frustrating everyone that comes in. read more

Literally the worst post office in the world. Every time I come here, any day of the week, any time of the day, this place is a mess!! The people behind the glass go slow as molasses no matter how long the line is. There is a lady that works in the lobby area that I gather is supposed to help things run more smoothly. Basically she is on a power trip. She will literally go up to people and make them take one step forward of one step back just because she can tell people what to do within the walls of the post office. She will make you wait in line if you are only there to pick up a package which is always ridiculous, take your pink slip when you get to the front just to have you wait at the back door for your package. Meanwhile, she hold the slip in her hand for forever before even giving it to anyone. This woman's job is totally useless and a drain on taxpayer money. Try to be helpful, that is why you are here, not to be on a power trip and treat people poorly. This is the exact behavior that leaves no question to as why post offices are doing badly.
