This post office used to be good, then went bad, and now it's just terrible. They only have two people on staff and there is always a long line out of the door no matter when I go. A few times the staff would be on their personal phone and not really paying attention. The wait is always excruciating and they never have AC or the heat on. They also have a lot more restrictions on what they do at this location, for example, they will only allow certain about packages to be scanned per a visit. read more

I had a good experience here just now. There were 5 people ahead of me and I was out of there in less than 5 minutes. They had two tellers working and very fast compare to the other post offices I been to. read more

I feel bad for giving this place such a poor rating since right now, we're dealing with COVID-19, however the service at this post office was really bad pre-COVID-19 and while all this is going on, it's even worse. I'm here to warn everyone to NOT leave their packages unattended or unscanned. During the middle of March (around the same week the city announced a quarantine), I dropped off 2 return packages. I walked into the post office, and absolutely no one was working. The doors were just open and there were tall wagons by the door with paper signs just said "drop off here". A whole month later, none of my returns were ever scanned or received by the receiver. The packages are basically lost or stolen. I suspect stolen since anyone could've walked in and taken packages from the post office when it was unattended. After that, I was more cautious about the packages. Today, I had 6 packages I needed to drop off, and there were confusing signs all over the post office stated contradicting and conflicting rules regarding drop off packages. They had no wagons out. They locked all the bins with signs to tell you to stand on line. But the plexiglass had signs that said "no drop-off packages" and "no receipts for drop offs". I couldn't wait on line so I left to come back at 3:30pm, only to see that the post office was closed and a line of customers stretched from the entrance to the end of the block. Not only does the post office refuse to provide receipts (which is important as this is proof that your package was scanned by USPS), but they close and open at random hours of the day, and the workers are so rude for no reason. I could understand that some customers are frustrating but there were times where I've witnessed the worker being lazy or unreasonable, and if they don't want to deal with you, they just start screaming and threaten not to service you anymore. Yeah, I get that workers aren't paid enough, but they're STILL being paid so this is ridiculous to me. They don't state their office hours clearly anywhere on the entrance for COVID-19. I'm so livid and I don't understand why this location is even open at this point! I've been a long-term user of several post offices around Brooklyn and Manhattan when I lived and worked in different areas. I currently live by this one and it's honestly the worst one I've ever been to. To sum it up, I've never met postal workers that are as rude as they are and I've never been to a location that just closes and opens as they please. How come no one reviewed that branch? I used live pretty close to this spot and used to post mails but then moving closer to another USPS location, I haven't stopped by until last Friday. It didn't take me more than 4 minutes to walk in and walk out. I needed to send a document, asked for signature confirmation with it, the white-pink paper. I already had an envelope and address on it. The employee said the signature confirmation is for priority mail only, I thought he will kick me out the line to get the proper envelope, prepare and come back but when I asked what I need to do, he place my envelope into another one with a window in front so no need to re-write the information. Rude employees with complete disregard for customers' time and money.They put a sign up that they'll be black from lunch at 2:30p. Some people waited in line for over an hour for them to stroll in at 3pm giggling and laughing. By this time the line was outside the door. When rightfully frustrated customers cheered at their return, they threatened to leave. An employee even told A customer who said thank you for coming back that if she kept talking "you gonna be out". Disgusting. So many people need jobs yet these employees have a job and do a poor job. read more

Long lines and rude service. Exactly what we've come to expect from the USPS unfortunately. NYC seems to have the worst post offices in the United States. This was an issue pre COVID-19 that has been further exacerbated by the virus. One hopes that at some point there will be accountability by higher ups and customer facing workers will face consequences for their terrible service. read more

Well this does it. Besides poor costumer service they are closed today. On both Google and Yelp it shows that they are open today. There is no note "hours may very due to wether conditions". I am not sure why they would just close or at least make a note of the operation hours varying. read more

They are supposed to be open at 0800 on Saturdays according to the signs all over their doors, but it's 0846 and no one has come to unlock the doors. The metal security door is open, and you can see people walking around behind the desk, but no one has come to greet us or at least tell us the hours have changed. Meanwhile, there's a line of people standing in the rain. Super rude and discourteous. read more

I don't know if this review is fair because it is posted during the covid-19 pandemic. It is the 1st time I'm visiting this location because they were the only one opened till 5pm on a Friday. April 10th, 2020. As I walked in, on the door, there was a clear sign that read: closes 5pm sharp! no exceptions. I walked in at 4:15 pm and there was a very long line. Then I realized that there was only one teller open. (which is understandable since most of the tellers called in sick) The line was slow moving and there was one person ahead of me. The customer asked the teller a standard question about and odd return shipping address from Amazon (it was to Great Britain) The teller refused to help him and got very sarcastic and cynical. After a few minutes of going back and forth, the customer threw his arms in the air and gave up. (at this point, I volunteered to help him and start looking up his address on google) I placed all of my pre paid packages in the window (I had 12 packages) the teller begins to pack the packages inside the bin behind him with out scanning them. I respectfully asked the teller if he would scan the packages , since I needed a receipt for it. He replied that "I can't because its 5 o clock" if you want to scanned , then come back tomorrow. " I told him , I've been on line for over 30 mins and it would.take less than 5 mins to scan the packages. The clerk looked at me and walked away. Then he comes back 10 mins later and begins to count his money on his register to clock out. At this point, I gave up left the packages behind the plexiglass door. I asked him if I was good and he said I was good. The he announces to the long line of people inside that, they are closed. The 15 people in line looked bewildered and start asking questions. Now, the P.O is locked from the inside and all these people on line were inside before 5pm. Chaos and yelling ensue. I couldn't get out because there is no one unlocking the door. The guy I helped, who is also locked in, somehow manages to open the door and we get out. My point is this. I completely understand the crisis situation and perhaps the hard day the clerk was having. But there was no need for this. You are still getting paid and to be so rude and unhelpful will not help the situation. If you are behind the counter, be professional. It reflects poorly on this P.O. and PO employees in general. If this is your general attitude, perhaps, this public service job may not be for you. I will revisit this particular post office and update this review once this pandemic is over but for this particular visit, I give it "zero stars" and ask management to look into this. read more

This Us post office have amazing employees. The stuff is so nice and helpful, answered all my questions and helped me a lot . The lady who helped me is incredibly nice , had nice short conversation with me while doing her job. Everyone was wearing they masks. Plus did they work really fast , didn't make anyone wait , or rewrite anything. read more

The service here is fast and the staff is very helpful. Everything I have to do is taken care of in almost a couple minutes.

I have tried to pick up my prescription medication and face mask from my PO Box three different times for the past two weeks without success. The post office hours are 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. but every time I arrive the door is locked. Naturally a line starts to form - a gathering of people, with and without face masks, which is deadly during this pandemic. So I have to walk away and try later. I've arrived before 9:00 a.m. and waited. I have tried at 2:58 p.m. in the afternoon. I am literally unable to retrieve life-saving items from a post office box I am paying for. This level of customer service is unacceptable! read more
