The single greatest things about moving out of zipcode 11216 was leaving this post office behind. No more investigating shipping options before making online purchases to ensure USPS would not be involved! No more pink slips left without a single buzz or knock! No more waiting in line for a MINIMUM of 30 minutes, only to find that your package isn't even at the post office (two days AFTER the "available for pick-up date"! No more random 3-hour closures during the middle of the day to "count the money" (yes, this really happened!) Granted, my new post office is significantly less than pleasant, but it's paradise compared to this hellhole. read more

Amazing! 3 packages are said to be "out for delivery" I have called my carrier , and "ms Freeman" who said that the carrier had an issue with the buzzer getting in! Laughable, as regular mail does rarely make it way into the box, and packages are haphazardly left int he vestibule. The laziness! You walk into this post office and they roll there eyes at you! Literally! Oh I'm sorry to disturb while you look at instagram photos! I am taking this all the way to the top of the USPS until I get my shi* ! Fed ex is worth the extra money!! stay far away from this place. Maybe if enough people report them they will either shape up or funding will dry up. read more

This place is an absolute disgrace. I have been dealing with the incompetence and down right rudeness of the employees here for 15 years. Forms are never available, the employees, if you can find one, are anything but helpful and packages disappear. It is a slap in the face of Bed Stuy and Crown Heights residents to expect us to deal with a post office that is such a shambles. read more

If I could give no stars I would. Another package that wasn't delivered. Today's excuse - the business was closed. What business? It's my apartment!!! The bell works. I stayed home waiting for delivery. Where's my package???? Why isn't the postmaster general doing something about this post office???? I've filed official complaints and I know other people have. Just awful. read more

Worst place ever!!!! Duh, I should have known. They steal packages and give you the stupid face. I wait on line 45 minutes and the clerk pretends to look for my package. I am sure there is some system where they choose to shake and x ray packages for themselves. The supervisor Carter took my phone number and promised a call back, SURPRISE no call back. These people are crooks. This place is Hades, and we all suffer in eternal fire!!!! read more

I lived in Brooklyn for a year and dealt with this sham of a postal outlet all too many times. Does the Post Office administration ever read the negative comments that this unit consistently garners? My wife and I moved to Nevada over a month ago, and we have yet to receive our "held" mail. We just spoke with them through a number provided by the USPS (which amazingly was answered). True to form my wife was put on hold for 20 minutes after telling the first person she was checking on our held mail. The second person came on and asked again what she wanted. My wife repeated the request and was put on hold for another 10 minutes. The woman returned and said there was no mail being held for our address and hung up. I find this odd since I spoke with our mail carrier two days before we moved and he said he saw mail already being held for us. Also, we had ordered books, expected insurance checks, and final bills being sent there. Oh maybe Con Ed and Optimum decided we didn't need final bills. I would say this place is a joke, but that would imply it is funny. Woe be unto you those who enter the Bed-Stuy USPS. Abandon all hope. read more

1205 Atlantic Ave post office is sorry. They have a phone number 718 638-7099 see if you reach anybody if you do you'll be the first

The WORST usps in the city! terrible service. No one is every available to answer the phone. They lost 2 of my packages already. I asked for redelivery and I still have no idea where my package is. it's been 5 days. read more

In the last year, they have lost 3 of my packages. Claims mean nothing to them. They are the worst!

Almost always long lines. Staff service is extremely slow moving. There is never enough staffing at the windows. Once you get to the window the customer care is usually friendly and accurate, but expect to wait a long while. I most recently called the location and requested to speak to a supervisor, the person who answered stated she is a supervisor (she did not state her name) and once I began to tell her about my issue of losing my p.o box keys, she spoke very unprofessionally about who should have handled it when I was there at the branch and abruptly put my call on hold. I held to an unanswered call for 22 minutes, before hanging up to no return to the phone. Not customer friendly, not professional or helpful. This could be why the post office is financially in the red. read more

Don't even bother trying to call the phone number to this "post office." No one ever picks up and then it switches to the FAX NOISE. I think I'll fax them this whole list of LOVELY Yelp reviews. read more

Back again! 25 people in line. One operating window. Average time per customer is 5-8 minutes so far. If I was unclear before... This is truly the meeting point of all human suffering and anguish. read more

For one month this UPS have been leaving our mail inside unlocked mailboxes because they installed new ones and haven't put the new master key/lock and everybody have access to our mail and even they keep put mail from different apartments or people who doesn't live here. read more

This Post Office is garbage they lie about attempting to deliver your packages they lie and say they left a slip. Then when you schedule a redelivery they still don't deliver it. It's disgusting if it were some type of medicine I needed regarding my life I would be dead. They don't answer the phone it rings like 9-10 times and then turns into a sound like a FAX machine it's ridiculous. read more

All I have to say is this is the worst post office in the history of post offices. They never deliver my mail for months at a time and when they finally do it's left outside for people to steal and get rained on and dirty. They staff is disgustingly rude and that new supervisor woman who I spoke to today and kiss my behind. She has no idea what customer service is. I asked to speak to a supervisor and she immediately came out with the nastiest attitude ever which was uneccessary because I was super calm even though they've been effing my mail up for months now. I'm so happy that I'm moving so I don't ever have to deal with these disgusting people again. read more

Going to this post office is a headache the lines are long the tellers are not friendly I cant get any info over the phone so I wouldn't have to make that trip to the post office I give it two thumbs down, On the other hand the carriers are excellent always on time and friendly read more

I agree with EVERYTHING previously stated--this is the WORST post office I have ever had to encounter. I only physically go when absolutely necessary. Every time I get a notice for re-delivery when I am actually home, I call to report it and to have my package redelivered. This seems to be an accepted practice by this PO, but I see no reason why I should have to go in to the facility when I'm home and the mailman finds it too taxing to ring the door bell. I suggest that everybody call and complain and perhaps at some point in life someone may listen and do something about it. read more

I would leave no stars if possible. This is one of the WORST post offices I've been too. The people who work there are unprofessional, slow, and do a very poor job of managing the lines. read more

I received a USPS slip upon my return from vacation indicating that they tried to deliver my package but the 2 envelopes were too large for the post box. They tried to deliver on 4/14. I return to NY on 4/16 and went to pick up my package on 4/24. Packages are kept for approximately 3 weeks before being sent back. It was my turn and I approached the teller; gave him my slip and waited to receive my packages. He walked back and forth for about 5 minutes then returned and told me that they don't have the packages. It was sent back to the where it came from. I'M IN SHOCK at this point. So I'm asking why, how come, etc. His answer was that he didn't know why and it was sent back by mistake. At this point, I'm seeing red. So I ask how I will be compensated for their incompetence and how do I get back my package. He doesn't know what to tell and there's not he can do to help. So in a rage, I storm out and go get some food. On my way back home I go back to the post office and ask him to tell me where the package came from. He writes down some tracking numbers and tells me he can't see where the packages came from, but if I track the numbers he has given me, I may find out some information. In the meantime, I ask to speak to the supervisor. 20 minutes later, I'm still waiting and no supervisor. So I ask again if someone's going to come to help me. He tells me that she's busy in the middle of something and that I should be patient. I storm out again because this service is deplorable and they don't give a shit cause I noticed several employees walking back and forth and to and fro. They didn't seem that busy to me. Anyway, I go home and call USPS and give the numbers asked for. Those numbers can't be found and a customer service rep will not be able to help me either. I also go online and put the numbers in only to be informed that the numbers can't be found and/or don't exist. Is the really the propery way to run and organization? I THINK NOT. YOU GUYS SUCK BIG TIME. I HOPE TO DO THE LEAST AMOUNT OF BUSINESS WITH YOU AS POSSIBLE. GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER! read more

There was a guy in here shouting disgusting racial slurs, talking loudly (on the phone) about obscene topics, and he asked a woman behind me if she was selling her body (he used rather crude language though), after she told him to get off the phone. While this guy isn't the fault of USPS, the USPS workers did NOTHING to kick this guy out. Everyone felt uncomfortable and unsafe with him there. When it was time for me to pick up my package, they told me it wouldn't be ready until 1pm, even though my slip says any time between 9am-5pm. I told the guy I work during the rest of the week and would be unable to pick it up. There was nothing he could do? Really? Before I left I told a supervisor that someone should have seriously kicked that disgusting guy out of the store, and that it was unacceptable that he was helped (even while he was being helped, he was STILL calling people in there racial slurs and saying gross things) I never want to come back here. I feel disgusting after witnessing this and expected better from USPS. read more

My mail man kicks A*S ... Most of the workers I've met all are nice and work hard. I've used Brevoort fort 2 years now and have never had a problem. And I use their shipping for side work often. And receive many packages a week. I really don't see why these ladies are whining . I mean sorry if you want what you want now or there was a shipping error for you. But these folks work hard, and seem under staffed, and I'm sure don't get enough funding in this area for extras in the office. I do agree they need to upgrade machines or keep them working, they've been working when I go. At first I too was upset for little things.... But try going to any and every other state, or government office. DMV's Parks Dept. Police station, Medicaid etc... If you really don't like it ship all your letters n packages with ups fed x or DHL, They'd love your money. I DON"T believe the girl who wrote 'half the time she doesn't get her mail" I ALWAYS get my mail never once in years had a package returned or lost !!! If your expecting mail CHECK your PO duh! GET OVER IT! Some systems You just have to work with!!! It's a post office not a restaurant , Do you tip your mail man every christmas, are you polite when somethings wrong ? Look at yourself , pointing your finger at a whole office full of people, is wrong if you have had a bad experience with one. Just my 2 cents. Partrick Bklyn . read more
