I decided to visit this post office as it is close to where I work. So far, I have mailed a fragile package as well as a few letters with no delays and problems. The post office also had many items fully stocked so no issues with supply. However, the line was very long and it took a while to see an agent. Granted, I went in the morning which can be a busy time, but I feel that they could be more prompt and efficient with their service during their peak hours. Also, the staff felt rushed and overall wasn't very friendly and respectful. I feel that this post office can meet your simple postage needs, but don't expect quick wait times and friendly, caring staff. If you have time and are looking for something close to you to mail letters, packages or purchase stamps, this post office will work for you. read more

Some people are not meant to work in customer service. I entered the 5517 Broadway Bronx, NY 10463 location on 12/6/2021 at approximately 10:30am. I waited online to drop off my package. I had the misfortune of being next in line for Annette, I waited for her to pull down her side of the window, while my hand rested on the other side, at which point she yelled at me "STOP, YOU ARE GOING TO BREAK THE WINDOW", followed by "HAVE YOU NEVER BEEN IN A POST OFFICE BEFORE" I was taken aback but didn't say a word to her. I placed my package in the window and she told me that I was to take it to the self-check-out and scan it, I told her I didn't want a receipt and she still would not take my package. At this point I asked her name and she loudly spelled it out "A-N-N-E-T-T-E", I said thank you and walk away. This was a despicable display of customer service, and the USPS should be ashamed to have people like Annette working for them. read more

Absolutely the worse customer service experience I've ever had to encounter. I've read reviews about this post office station before and I refused to believe the less than favorable comments I've saw, but today completely changed my mind . From the window clerks to the supervisor both equally incompetent in providing adequate customer service. This is sad to say but I've witness rude attitudes, laziness, and irrational resolutions to issues customers have. From a simple error of miss spelled names to clerical apartment error, a simple common sense fix its turned into a massive ordeal due to their incompetence and unwillingness to resolve customers needs. The standard resolution given to customers is "call the 1800 number". Coming from a supervisor shows that a need of trained employees is needed at this station. Sad to say but I would not be surprised if this station is closed down or a whole new trained staff come about. Whatever the resolution , a speedy response is needed before more chaos come about. First one to go should be the supervising staff. Lady that turned me away with my package in hand and said "your last name is not completely written on the package, so I will not give it to you, it will be sent back to sender so they can reship with the correct info" Ms Davis thank you for ur "impeccable" customer service your truly are an incompetent individual. I came to this location already knowing in normal times its one of the slowest, most poorly run post offices in the country. It happens to be a busy location, so i can understand the long wait times. I came in on 2/3/21 and waited in line outside for 30 minutes. Its seemingly wasn't a long line. A male employee informed us if you are mailing a package with a credit card to come inside and you will be able to use self checkout machine only. Upon waiting longer i realized people dont know how to use this machine and the 1st person who tried spent 10 minutes and had to start over, while stubbornly refusing help from the worker. I had to finally give up and leave the location as their were still a few people ahead of me. This post office is using the pandemic as an excuse for their own incompetence. Who ever is in charge of procedures should be banished to a post office in Alaska. The employee who was helping everyone, had to listen to me rant, its not his fault, but he is bearing the brunt of people complaining while his supervisor is in the office, thinking up ways to make the line even slower. read more

Staff is very unprofessional and show no regard for the general public. After waiting for hours and having my passport documents inspected by an employee at the same site, the clerk at the window rejected my paperwork due to a missing field on the passport application and didn't just let me fill it out on the spot. Staff is lazy and very uneducated. Save yourself the headache and don't even visit this site. Hopefully the government realizes this and shuts down this location. read more

I was in a rush so I had to use this location to mail an international package....what a huge mistake this was!!! I was served by Sidra, the most unpleasant person with an IQ of a cucumber who wouldn't let me say anything other than what her computer would tell her to do. I understand that postal workers aren't well educated and probably hate their jobs to begin with but this was really an exceptionally dumb person and I just can't believe how anyone would hire her to deal with customers on everyday basis. Needless to say, after painful 15-20 mins it took her to type with one finger info from the customs form, I paid and left. I'll never be returning again to this location, that's for sure. This is the WORST post office in existance. It deserves ZERO stars. Handling any business there is excrutiating due to how slowly things are done and now they're not even delivering packages correctly! TWICE I have had packages returned to the sender because the adress was "incorrect". No it was not!! My adress was correct on BOTH packages and they were still sent back! I can't even trust them to deliver packages! I had one of my purchases re-delivered to my husband's job just to avoid having to deal with this particular post office. The level of incompetence is UNREAL! From now on I'll have my packages delivered to either my job or my husband's. I will give this post office as little business as humanly possible. read more

They like to wait till its your turn and then close their window claiming they have to take a break. Constantly losing mail and packages. I don't even think they try to deliver packages they just drop a pink slip in your box and force you to wait in line to pick it up. I called in regards to an issue I was having. The "supervisor" is very unprofessional and should really be changed. I assume because it is Friday and she wants to go home already, she feels entitled to answer the phone with a rude tone and an attitude with every response. She had no intention in helping with my issue. I do not recommend you come here if this woman is still working here. I give it 3 stars as sometimes I travel all the way over here from 10034 (even walking) in order to avoid my local 10034 post office. Lines are reasonably long but it's decently quick. As well this is my mother's post office zone so sometimes I get packages to her house. Again "in order to avoid my post office" They never fail to deliver. In about 10 years I have never had to reschedule a re-delivery with them. NOT ONCE!!! Unlike the 10034 were just in the past month & a half I had to do it 6 times. All 6 times I been home. read more

I give this post office ZERO stars but I have to put a star to post, the employees at this location are just mean and disrespectful. Yesterday I was expecting a small package that could fit in my mail box, the status showed that my package was delivered and it never was. When I called to find out about my package I was told 3 things could have happened. The first being that the delivery man scans all the packages as delivered when they are NOT but he is still doing his route, which in my opinion is deceiving to the customers and causes unnecessary call volume of complaints to customer service. Second that the delivery man put it to a wrong mailbox/ building and he would have to try and get the package back. Third being the worse case scenario that the delivery man left it in from of my door where someone could have just taken the package. NOW THIS IS ALL JUST UNEXPECTABLE. Not to mention if my package is lost because this irresponsible employee was to lazy to do his job right, that means I am at a loss because my package didn't have insurance (which first class mail doesn't have an insurance option I'm told). This is my money down the drain. I would also like to add that there are always pieces of mail left over on the counter to our mailboxes because it has an entirely different building address or was put in the wrong mailbox. It took a long time for them to pick up, but when they did, the man who helped me was extremely kind and informative. This is the worst post office ever. Went there to process a passport application; saw about five people waiting on line and one of them said they were online for one hour and this is his third time coming to this post office to process a passport application after they are constantly being told that after waiting 3 hours they're not doing any passport application. My husband went to one of the cashiers to ask her a question about when they're going to start taking care of the passport line and the lady did not even talk to him she just directed him to the line. Hello! People that come to this post office for passport services are not to collect welfare checks, we're here to do business. We are actual paying customers. Passports are not free. We deserve to be treated with respect and dignity. Remember that you guys have a job because of us tax payers. Then people ask why so many post offices are closing... NO PASSPORTS after 2pm (despite the sign and voice recording saying 3:00). We went here at 2:15pm and we were turned away. The manager said that they had already completed "The MAXIMUM" number of passports for the day...no such thing. They are awful, mean and rude. This is the worst USPS location I have visited. Worst staff and customer service. My husband and I went with our 3 month old daughter to apply for her passport. The website says the hours to apply are from 9am to 3pm. We got there at 2pm and waited for more than 15 minutes on line just to be rudely informed that they stopped taking more customers for passports. We, along with the other people waiting on line asked them why does the website say it is until 3 o clock and an employee, probably the manager, said that she doesn't know. No apologies. For the 6th time in a row, my orders have been MESSED UP! I order and the USPS is suppose to deliver it, right? They were suppose to deliver it today by 8PM, but instead I get a text at 11pm letting me know that I can "pick-up" my package! This sort of customer service isn't tolerable!! I live in the area so I am forced to go to this location with is a pain every time. The customer service sucks. it's like they only go by the book with no exceptions. The lines are always so freaking long. the thing that I hate the most is every time I order something and it has to come through the post office I never get it. I can be home and still receive a message stating that there was an attempt but nobody was home. I mean I have a buzzer at least use that for me to come down. Because I didn't receive my package I now have to go in to deal with the ungodly forsaken place, full of the most slowest people in the Bronx. Im surprised there arent more negative reviews about this place but an average review of 1.5 stars with 31 reviews should tell you something. You would think after all these years of negative reviews and complaints someone would have taken notice and done something to fix the lack of service at this location. First of all, there are 7 cashier windows yet no more than 4 cashiers at any one time. Window 1 is for pick ups and window 7 is for passports which leaves only 1-2 windows for regular service. Many times there is no cashier at the pick up window and customers are left waiting in line with no one to serve them. When you come, expect to wait at the pick up line or regular service line 15-30 minutes. There are also times when the computers run slowly which delays the lines even further. When you finally get to the window, the cashiers are frustrated and have bad attitudes. Sometimes they even argue with the customer. I went there last week and the employee handling line control was complaining about the service just as much as the people waiting online saying that the service at this post office was the worst he's ever seen. Every time I come here someone is complaining about something. The layout of the place is also a problem. Everything is shifted to the left while the center and right is empty. If you need a form or box from one of the tables, you need to cut through the line to get them and many times the line is so long that if you want to use the tables, the people on line get in the way. There should be barrier posts in the center of the post office to wrap the line around so the line doesn't get in the way of people trying to access the forms, tables, p.o. boxes, or mail drop off slot. If you can. don't go on a Saturday because it gets jam packed. The absolute best time to go is on a weekday one hr before closing time between 6pm and 7pm. read more

The U.S. Government needs to fire everyone there and hire people who will appreciate having a job. The people at the Jerome office are some of the worst postal workers I have ever met in my life. They don't come to your door when they have to deliver a package and they don't leave the little cards so you can pick up your package in the mailbox until the next day. I made the mistake of thinking that if I filed a complaint something would change, boy was I wrong. Someone was supposed to call me back and it's been since October of 2014 and I am still waiting on a phone call. They are rude there and have absolutely no customer service skills. President Obama needs to undercover boss that location and send everyone to a retraining. I hate that that is my local post office but thank god for leases being up because when mine is I'm moving into an area where the postal workers don't have a fucking nasty ass attitude all the damn time. I gave it one star so it can get recorded as a review---however this place deserves NO STARS. My package was not delivered because no one was home, so I went on the USPS site to track my package and no mention of what post office was noted on there. I called the USPS customer service number and the rep told me that there were 2 locations it could be. I said ok--and called the first location, only to be told that packages are not kept there, they are at the Kingsbridge location .I called the Kingsbridge location and a lady "Ms Phillips" answered the call. I told her I just wanted to confirm if my package was there before I went. She asked me what did it say online when I look it up..and I told her that it said nothing and that I was just trying to confirm. She asks me for my tracking number and then puts me on hold for 3 minutes--I could hear her laughing and joking in the background and having a conversation. I hung up and called again and got a lady by the name of Tiffany on the line. I told her the same thing... that I was trying to figure out if my package was there. She asked me the same thing "What does it say on the usps site when you track it" and I told her it doesn't specify and she said "the same thing you see, is what I will see on my end if I search for it"..to which I said I called the USPS cust service number and they told me it might be here--please confirm " Ive had experiences where my package has supposedly been at this location, but it has not." She then goes "Fine give me your tracking number" I repeat it 3 times and she interrupts me and says wait--one more time--all while breathing heavy as if annoyed. She finally looks it up and says " Yeah its here you could have done that yourself" then she sucked her teeth and hung up on me! I mean seriously what kind of people are being hired to work at this post office? are people being picked off the street? are you recruiting people with no education, and even less customer service ethic? know for a fact packages are even attempted to be delivered, or if they do they dont bother to ring your apt but leave it with someone on the lower floors by default. countless time i stay home purposely waiting for a package and at the end of the day i come to find a slip left on the door. or i find out it was left with a neighbor yet they never rang my doorbell. have had 2 packages gone missing abd about 3 packages i placed in the mailbox on my block were also lost. according to the customer service line that mailbox was being investigated yet there were NO signs alerting residents that packages dropped at that mailbox have gone missing! read more
