I have to agree with everybody. The service from this neighborhood post office is terrible. I received an alert from Amazon, that my package was on hold at this post office, because it could not be delivered. If Amazon had not sent me an alert in my email, I would not have known of the "attempted delivery." I don't believe an attempt was ever made, because there was no pink slip left at the door. But I can't prove it. In any case, I'm on my way now to the post office to try and get my package without a pink slip before it's sent back like what happened before. Wish me luck. read more

2 windows. 2 federal employees. Line - average 6. Moved fairly quickly. No one yelling. However, Zero information on selecting mailing options to Arizona. A simple info Kiosk that explains the options/cost/time to delivery. Instead, I filled out a priority envelope that was on the counter, slip and presented at window ... $34 to Phoenix! Next day, o.k. , but I would have picked a cheaper option for 2 day. Had an appointment and a line of folks behind me so just paid up to get out of there. Place is beat up. Government, circa 1970. Tracking is good. Keyboard to type in your email to get a receipt sent was awful. I've been in much nicer Post Offices, so this isn't my first rodeo. My package was stolen by the driver. The package was fairly large and needed a signature in order to receive it. I waited all morning and finally my amazon alert said it was delivered. I heard no doorbell or saw no truck in front of my house. After waiting almost two hours at this location, they told me I didn't have a slip and they didn't have my package. The workers didn't even try helping me out with the next steps, so they moved on to the next customer and ignored me. I reached out to USPS but nothing was resolved! read more

OK, I have lived in this area for 7 yrs., and this has been going on...I think I get my boxes about 60 to 70% of the time...Hardly ever get a notice but I will receive an email that an attempt was made and a notice was left...This poor service has really gotten old...Where are the delivery people and what are they doing if they are not delivering our packages???? I have noticed that lately the PO staff has been trying to help a little more then in the past and the line is moving a little faster...I have also noticed that Amazon has partnered with the USPS so now I'm not getting some of my Amazon purchases so I have to go pick up at this PO...UGHHHHH! As others have stated, this place is the absolute worst. If you have to pick up a package (which is the only reason to come here) you will be waiting for a very long time. Maybe an hour. Maybe two. Who knows?! There is only ever one person at the inquiry/parcel window. The carriers who work in this area are equally terrible and and incompetent, which is how the packages end up here in the first place. They will lie and say they came at a certain time when they most definitely did not or not leave a slip at all. You're better off having your packages sent to a friend or family member's house than to risk having your package sent to this hell hole. This post office is literally the worst. Anyone who has to deal with this place already knows how inefficient they are. My review is both for this location itself, but also the general postal service of the neighborhood. If you need to pick up a package here: Good luck to you friend you are in for a long and painfully bad experience. The employees here are rude, take forever, and are so unorganized. Now for the mail service. I cannot tell you how many times I have waited at home for a package, only for it to not come but the tracking says they attempted to deliver it. No. No you didn't. I know you didn't because I am at home, waiting for you to come and checking the tracking status every hour. Oh, and I leave a note at the front door saying "I am home, please leave PACKAGE" because I know they do this. No, clearly what happens is they just never show up, but they mark the package as "Attempted to deliver" because they are too lazy to actually spend the time to deliver it that day. They are horrific. I've had to call them now 4 times with complaints about packages not being delivered, and then having to go to this location where there are lines up to 2 hours long. This last one is riling me great as it's a rare book that I won't be able to find elsewhere, and the USPS website's tracking says it was delivered to my mailbox when the book is TOO LARGE for my mailbox. Where is my book!?!?!?! Buzz me; Christ, I'll come down to the lobby and get it if the postman can't be arsed to come up in AN ELEVATOR BUILDING. Terrible service from this place they never deliver packages and always claim a slip was left and that the package needs to be picked up at the post office then you arrive at the post office and are told your package is being delivered only to find out the package is still at the post office you would think this would be an isolated incident but it's not it happens way too often these people seriously need to stop wasting peoples time I have also had packages stolen and no one at USPS seems to care at this point I'm seriously considering filing a police report if any more of my packages continue to get so called lost read more

Besides being pregnant now every time i come to this place i want to cry....knowing i have stay on line for 1.5 hrs or even 2 hrs to get to the customer service worker for then to tell me they can't find my package or my package is out in the truck, they give you a name and phone number to call later to find out the whereabouts of your package and when i call they put me on hold then tell me to call later cause they're so busy, and so on.. i mean what a headache, and the workers so rude they are always in a bad mood. Reviews are true! First time coming to post and there were at least 30 people in line with only 1 window open for package pick-ups. Local post-woman also suggested I file a complaint because she's aware of poor service is and they will "continue to push aside" if I didn't go in myself. The office is severely understaffed and it serves too many homes to have these issues. read more

Often 2 hour + long wait times. Half of my packages never arrive--even if I am home, no attempt is made to deliver them, and instead a note is left saying that I wasn't there, which isn't accurate; they made no delivery attempt whatsoever. Some staff are nice, others are dismissive. It's hit-and-miss depending on who you speak with. The complaints I listed are seemingly universal, if you ask anyone in line (assuming they haven't already offered their complaints without solicitation). The wait and efficacy of attempting to find a resolution over the phone come with similar results. If I could give them zero, or negative stars, I would. There isn't an industry, whether it be airlines, security, shipping, entertainment, etc., which has failed so miserably. read more

Worst customer service I have ever received anywhere. I live in CA and shipped a package to the Bronx. Suppose to be delivered 1/23. It is 2/11 and still not delivered. I called the post office and they said it is here so come get it. I live in CA so I can't just come get it. A little piece of me dies every time I step foot in this post office and have to deal with the workers here. I go out of my way to try and make sure someone is available to receive my packages at home so I do not have to deal with picking up a package here. It shouldn't take more than 2 mins per pick up. Long lines and they take their sweet time per person to find a simple package.

I wish I could give this place a negative 5 stars. This place has been the worst post office for well over a decade. They're super understaffed here so it's not the employees fault it's the government. Add that to the long list of screw ups on their resume. All the money the post office collects & they can't even hire enough workers to manage the high volume of people they service? What a waste. This has got to be the worst post office ever! I had an item being delivered to my apartment on Sunday and obviously it wasn't deliver at all. I have requested to have my items redelivered and nothing has been done! I refused to go stand on that line for two hours because they don't know how to do there job! I do not know how this station is still operating, they need to change their staff, when you call to check on a package or for questions in general, the females at the phone are very nasty, they will speak to you like you call to bother, McDonalds has a 1000 better customer service than this Post Office Stattion, please do not use this location, they will lose your packege and no one is responsible for it.....they will not take your call and if they do, they will have wait on hold for over 30 minutes and than they will hang up the phone, living qour questions on- asnwered. read more

The mail service in this area is absolutely horrible. Two packages that I mailed to my son in college were lost - one in February and one in March. Now he mailed three boxes home from college at the end of the year and two were lost. The one that was insured showed up but the other two are nowhere to be found and were never scanned so they can't be tracked. I was told that sometimes they are "overwhelmed" so they don't scan the packages. How can that be? read more

This local post office is close and convenient to many apartments. Unfortunately, this location is messy, and has slow service. The workers are occasionally friendly, however their excuse for the excessively long lines is that, the Bronx services many people in the neighborhood. Perhaps hiring more workers would be helpful. As others have stated this place is the worst. I've been living at my address for 20yrs with no problems receiving packages from any carrier. In the last few months there have been nothing but problems from the post office. I would track my package and see it was on the truck for delivery only to check again after waiting all day to see the tracking info has been updated to "delivery couldn't be made because of no access, delivery notice left" However, there was no notice left and in order to leave one you would have to open my gate come up the stairs to my front door where the mailbox is in order to leave it. Lately what's been happening is my packages are not going on the truck for delivery but are being marked as "insufficient address" when I call to inquire my address is correct and no one can explain the notation. My most recent problem is a package I was expecting was delivered to this office and when I tracked it, it was noted as wrong address and could not be delivered. I called this location first thing in the morning on 1/31 to inquire in order to keep it from being returned. The person who answered the phone found the package and verified with me what the address is (which was correct on the pkg) she claimed it was because it was no apt#. My response was if I lived in an apt I would have that in the address. I live in a house not an apt building and there has never been a problem with my deliveries until recently. she said she would have it delivered that day. Needless to say it was not. I called back to this office first thing today and no one would answer. After several calls someone finally answered, took no info and put me on hold. I was on hold for over an hour before a different person picked up the line again. She took my info and said she would return my call. I'm willing to bet I will never get that call back. As stated in the other reviews I too have gone there to pick up a package and waited on line for over an hour because only one person was working the window and the place is jammed packed. This placed needs to get the act together and will be requesting from the companies I order my merchandise from to not shipped through the post office. read more
