I had an incredibly disappointing experience at this post office. The only reason I came to this…read morelocation was because it's the closest to my workplace. The last time I used a post office was years ago at the Venice location, where the staff was patient, helpful, and made the process very easy. During my previous experience, I simply gave the clerk the address, they entered the information, handed me my receipt, and I was on my way. Because of that, I expected a similar process. Instead, the older cashier with the bob haircut immediately began raising her voice at me, telling me that I needed to write the "To" and "From" addresses myself. Since I hadn't mailed anything in years and wasn't familiar with the process, I accidentally wrote the information in the wrong place. Rather than calmly explaining the mistake, she yelled at me again. I finally asked, "Why are you yelling? I don't work here." Instead of helping or speaking respectfully, she continued raising her voice and spoke to me as if I were stupid, repeatedly saying, "You get mail, don't you?" Her tone was demeaning, humiliating, and completely unprofessional. Customer service should involve helping people, especially when they're unfamiliar with a process. At no point did she make any effort to assist me or explain things respectfully. She was rude, impatient, and unnecessarily hostile from the beginning. This was, without question, the worst customer service experience I have ever had. No customer should be spoken to that way for any reason especially for making an honest mistake.

I recently found out that this post office is majority privately owned and operated rather than…read morebeing a government-owned facility. It is staffed by only 1 employee at counter. The bigger problem is the unreliable operating hours. I have gone there multiple times during the posted business hours and found the location closed. This past Friday, it was closed for the entire day. A post office that is supposed to serve the community should be open during its posted hours. Having only 1 employee may explain the staffing situation, but it does not make it acceptable for customers to repeatedly arrive during business hours and find the facility closed. This needs to be addressed. USPS should ensure that this location is properly staffed and operating consistently during its advertised hours. Customers should not have to waste trips trying to figure out whether the US post office will actually be open.

To CLOSE THAT POST OFFICE, relocate ALL the boxes 2 miles away in another city, and torn out pretty much every mailbox on Riverside Drive in that entire area! So I'm grateful they/DeJoy/T+++P haven't (yet?) Closed this one. Because our assigned post office would NOT be the beverly Hills location. I had to meet this mythical "King Sassalot" monster behind the counter. Plus, I was only mailing my dirty laundry home to lighten my suitcase. Low stakes. Second impression: The apathetic clerk was actually very delightful. Polite, helpful, and downright pleasant. Not just with me, but with the customer in front of me, too. You can sense a doesn't suffer fools zest from him, but I did my best to not be a fool. So yeah, worth the visit. Maybe I caught him on a good day, but I walked in with a problem and left with accomplishment. To the folks who had a rough time... I hope you meet the same version of him I did. Came in 10-12 minutes before our appointment, we were greeted & walked right into the office. Ms. Ida (pronounced ee- da) was an absolute gem! She is hilarious & efficient. We had all our documents in order beforehand. Both parents have to be present along with the minor. I feel like if you come prepared, you'll be just fine. Expecting other adults to hold your hand through the process & getting frustrated at them for your lack of understanding is unfair. They are very kind & helpful but please understand you are not the only customer there. We paid via debit at the counter & Shiekh was also very pleasant. Overall 12/10 experience!

These reviews speak for themselves. This is my third…read morepackage that has been scanned as "Delivered," only for me to go outside minutes later and find that it's already gone. Even my regular mail carrier has acknowledged that this is highly unusual for my neighborhood. Situations like this are ruining the reputation of what has always been a safe and trustworthy community. The final straw was when two separate items were marked as delivered at the same time, but when I went to retrieve them, only one package was actually there. I reported everything to the supervisor, Christopher, but nothing was done. Instead, he simply insisted the missing package had been delivered--as if he had personally witnessed it. I never imagined I would have to write a review accusing a USPS location of such poor accountability, but here we are. I've never had a single package go missing with UPS, FedEx, or Amazon--only with this USPS location. If you have no choice but to use this post office, I strongly recommend insuring your packages and monitoring deliveries closely. It's disappointing to have lost confidence in a federal service that should be reliable and accountable. They have lost their values.
