The customer service was disappointing from start to finish. One employee in particular had such a loud, shouting voice that it was difficult to carry on a conversation with the person assisting me. Overall, the experience was frustrating. The customer service leaves much to be desired, and they appear to charge extra for nearly every small service. Based on my experience, I will not return and cannot recommend them to others.

Today I got scolded for not affixing my certified mail receipts to the envelope. I told the clerk after having the cops called on me in McKinleyville, I'm scared to death to make a mistake. I've never had anyone complain about having to affix the certified mail receipts before. Isn't that part of the job? ‍ He tried to make it sound like it was policy but I'm not seeing any evidence of that. These customer facing employees seriously need to get over themselves. This place lost a loyal customer with really subpar customer service. I had been utilizing this supply store when I needed a quick ream of paper, file folders or binders. They are pretty pricey but I wanted to do my part and help out local businesses. But, after going to the notary here, I will never go back. I tried twice to use her services and both times it was very uncomfortable. The first time she hassled me because of the way I sign my name. I told her I've signed that way since I was sixteen and it's never been a problem before. It doesn't seem to be a problem for Post Haste but it was definitely a problem for Chelsea. I don't want to have to pay to argue with the person behind the counter. I will simply take my business elsewhere if you can't treat me like a human being. I tried two different times to work with her because I needed a notary for several transactions. I didn't want to have to leave McKinleyville for notary services. I even tried complementing her ring to break the ice and get her down off her high horse. No luck, she just scowled at me. It was real mean girl energy and I just don't have time for high school games. This is business. If I'm a paying customer I don't think it's too much to ask to just be pleasant. Thank God I found Post Haste in Arcata. I have used them multiple times since my experiences in McKinleyville and I've been very happy with the service I get from Post Haste. This is why I love Capitalism. There's always someone else who will take my money. If you don't like what you do, maybe get a different job.

Unfortunately, every visit has been frustrating because the employees consistently come across as uninterested, unhelpful, and like they don't want to be there. On my most recent visit, I told an employee that I wanted to pay for transfer service because I had my two young kids with me and didn't want to have to come back. Instead of explaining the process or telling me what I needed to do next, she provided no guidance at all. It felt like helping customers was an inconvenience. Their transfer service only covers six loads, but I had seven she said they would charge me $2 extra which I said was fine. Because many of the machines were already full, I had to use several smaller washers, which made the situation even more complicated. A little communication and customer service would have gone a long way. My husband usually handles the laundry, and he has complained about the same issues multiple times, so this isn't an isolated experience. We have tried giving this place multiple chances, but after repeated poor customer service, we won't be coming back. Management should consider hiring employees who are willing to help customers and take pride in their work.
