I needed to renew my passport. I thought the process would be far more difficult than it was. This post office made it so simple with the helpfulness of their employees who were so kind and polite. I try to get here right when they open or right before they close. Shorter lines and less wait during those times. I like to park in the back, and enter through the back entrance in order to avoid some of the traffic in the front of the building. The location is the problem with this post office. It is surrounded by traffic lights and id hard to get into and out of. People are nice and the hours are reasonable. Other than that it's just a post office, got the same stuff they all have. My P O Box is here, I would have one somewhere else had I known about how busy the major intersection is. read more

Erica is the worst supervisor there located at the Stockdale location . I asked for help she came on with an attitude, I told her that lately the mail deliver has been putting my mail in other peoples mail boxes and I have important papers coming in and she said that's not her problem! I asked is there anything I can do and she said " NOPE I can't help you contact that company ." The whole time she would not let me say a word without her interrupting me . I was literally in tears from how frustrated she was making me. I asked to speak to her supervisor she said she didn't have one and hung up on me. I called again and my call disconnected. Kept calling and the same thing . So I decided to call under another phone and I'm assuming they have called ID because she answered right away . I asked to speak to her supervisor to file a complement and ALL OF A SUDDEN she has a higher supervisor! She had me on hold for over an hour & then hung up the phone once again . I don't understand if she so devastated to be working there why work there why make people feel useless when they simply have questions ! It's her job to at least look to see if there is anything there but she wouldn't help me at all ! read more

I like this one. When I've been there the line doesn't seem to be super crazy, so I'm usually in-and-out. Most importantly, the folks who work here have been great. They're helpful and leave me with the impression that they're happy to oblige. read more

Just moved to Bakersfield and had to send a couple of Priority Mail letters for change of address notifications. This is by far the friendliest group of people I've ever encountered at the USPS. Great customer service! I will come here for all my postal needs in the future. read more

This review is for the passport office. Like the reviews before me, I found the African American lady extremely rude. She seriously needs to be replaced if she doesn't like public interaction because this job demands it. I asked once to repeat what she said to ensure I heard her correctly and she gave me a smart ass response as if I was dumb but at the same time she asked me three times how I would be paying for the fee which I replied every time. She simply wouldn't listen to you but want you to pay attention to every word she is going to spurt out at you and you better get it the first time or forget about getting your question answered. Simply unacceptable. She should simply be put on some customer service training or relieved from this role!!! read more

Mail or packages have been delivered in 3 out of our 4 last vacation holds. I had to bother someone to go to the house and get it. It is in the middle of the hold time. They blame it on substitutes but shouldn't they all be aware? I called the 800 number for customer service and was on hold for 58 minutes. We give the PO notification at least 3-4 days notice of the hold. read more

Made an appointment for 11:00. Didn't get in until almost 12:00. They told me to be there 15 minutes early and I was there 20 minutes early. I mean if I'm going to pay almost $300 for a passport, please get me in in a decent amount of time. read more

This review is for the PASSPORT office. I came in trying to renew my passport and I'm not entirely sure what I did wrong, but the African American lady working the passport applications was SO RUDE the ENTIRE TIME I was doing my application. For instance... I put my hair color as black and the lady asked me if my hair was brown. I went on to explain that my hair was dyed at the moment and that its naturally black. She then went on to tell me that she didn't ask me that, she only asked me a yes or no question. I don't understand what I did to offend this lady, but she was rude to me the entire time. If you want fast service you have to get there when they open. There are two separate offices in which the one on the right is for passports and the other is the postal services. Both offices are quite small. The customer service is decent. The only issue I had was that the service at the passport office was too fast; slow down please because for first timers such as myself it is a stressful situation and we want to make sure we have all the right information. I'm already hoping I got everything right because the lady I had was going so quick and seemed impatient when I asked for clarification or repeated things out-loud back for verification. read more

Went on a Saturday and it opens only for 3 hours. Opens from 10 am to 1 pm. Decent amount of parking. If you do the get there few minutes before it opens, the line is long. Got there couple minutes before it opened and there were about 5 customers ahead of me and it took about 15 mins to get to the front. read more

Was dropping a package that was already pre-paid, pre-labeled and ready to go. There was this tall, skinny Caucasian postal clerk with a pony tail and he was already done with the person he was dealing with. I asked him if he can check the weight of my package quickly just to double check, which takes like 5 seconds and involves placing the package in the scale.. He rudely answered that he was in the middle of a transaction and I will have to go at the end of the line. Seriously, either he has zero common sense, zero ability to mildly multi-task or just dumb as a rock. Never had a problem with the post office in Camino Media or the main one near the airport. read more

I like going to the Post Office because it won't be long until there will be only a handful in the country. I imagine the future of the USPS as having one office in each city, probably near City Hall. Only the most sullen and customer-hating employees will be selected to staff these locations, fortunately they have a large pool to choose from. read more

Obviously no one enjoys going to the post office or partaking in any bureaucratic process. That being said, I had an overall nice experience going to the passport center today. There was only one woman working and the office was full the entire time, but the office and line flowed smoothly, even during the pandemic. Barbara had both counters occupied with people trying to get new or renewed passports and she would flow between them nicely to make sure everyone was taken care of. She obviously has been in the job a while because she had such a nice flow going. Once the lobby was full of people waiting to take their photos she would come out and take our photos, and when she went back to the check-in area it seemed to start all over again for her. I will probably hate my passport photo (like most people), but she took multiple photos and showed them to me so I could choose which I liked better. Also, I filled out my form and walked off, and she immediately noticed I had forgotten to sign off on a final document, so she called and texted my phone in time for me to come back and sign off before driving too far away. Barbara did an excellent job at taking care of the needs of all of the people in the office and had a very pleasant attitude while doing it! read more

I've been here twice. I was hoping this time the blonde lady would help me, but unfortunately I got the rude lady that talks to me in such a patronizing way that I never want to go back. This is a review more towards the passport office, and if I could give them 0 stars I would. First of all this is the worst place to come to if you are young and an adult because the lady that was working all morning on this day, Wednesday, is the rudest to us young folk. The paper says answer to the best of your knowledge, but when you don't know the answer she will not help at All. I felt as though I was being attacked for no reason. I see her being nicer to the other customers who were like 40 and above and then she gives me the crappiest attitude. Not too bad with appointments. Usually call you about 20 mins once you're checked in which isn't bad. But I went in for a first time passport and long story short the African American lady was VERY rude. Kept humiliating me by calling me "fraudulent" because I have 4 names and when I sign paperwork I use only 2 names when I should be using my full name to sign everything. Does not have patience which this job requires much of, ended up saying my mom was fraudulent as well because of the same issue. Some people even overheard and explained to me how she is wrong and was trying to scare me, true or not she shouldn't have been announcing it the way she did. Quite embarrassing if you ask me. When I asked her what I needed to do to resolve the issue would tell me DMV then would say I need to go to court and then also said to go to hall of records? Never addressed my question properly. She does not belong there her attitude is ugly and no one needs to be humiliated it's a long process and hearing her smart remarks when something wasn't how she wanted it was very aggravating. This is the worst Post Office I have ever been to. The employees are slow and so rude. They are lazy and make no effort to help anyone.

Okay, so I am trying to get a passport for my son. I read on their website that they stop accepting passport applications at 2pm on weekdays. My son isn't even out of school yet at that time. Their website says that they accept them for 2 hours on Satudays too. It says that they will accept them from 10am-12pm on Saturdays. I figured that would be perfect because my son is not in school and his father is not at work (both parents have to be present) on Saturdays. We get down to this post office and are told that they actually open up the passport section at 8am, not 10am AND that they only help the first 20 customers who are there at 8am. Of course, this is irritating because the info on the site should be accurate. I mean, c'mon, its the US Postal Service. So we decide to go in and get a parental consent form to have notorized so I can take my son while his dad is at work. I expected to see a line of people waiting to be helped but am surprised to find no customers. Just one employee who informs me that she is done for the day. It was only 11am. So, I concluded that its impossible to get a child a passport in this town (due to the hours that they accept them) unless they skip school. Awesome. read more

I've had nothing but bad experiences with the post office. Almost ALL of the staff is rude and some of their carriers are LAZY. They NEVER ring my doorbell whenever a package is delivered, which leave is to get stolen, and someone is always home to answer. I've called the postmaster about it before and I just get the runaround. read more

Took a day off of work Saturday to get my passport got there at 7 a hour before they opened . I was the 10th in line . Once 8 o`clock hit the door opened then people hopped out of their car and cut in line . They were family members of the people in line but still . The post office only takes 20 people in . I ended up being 21st in line . I was told to go somewhere else or to talk to a supervisor . Horrible first come first serve service . The woman that opened the door didn't care at all witch bugged me . Coming to work all grumpy and rude . Im disappointed that I show up a hour before the post office opens and not able to get my passport . I took the day off and it was for nothing . The service was crap . First come first serve my ass . Management sucked . Needs a better system . You really dropped the ball and im not the only one that got cut this weekend along with another 10 people behind me . Horrible system . Total B.S . I`ve been treated better at the kern county fair then the damn US post office and that's where my tax dollars go . Please fix that problem . I don't want that to happen ever again.
