I was waiting on my Chanel sunnies to come in & Usps says that my mailbox is full that they can't deliver it, i check & theres 2 envelopes and also no shit you can't fit a package in a mailbox!!! Then I called them no answer, so a couple days later I go there they say they don't have it when I have a voicemail on my phone saying that they are holding the package! Im also very busy working almost everyday so it is difficult for me to go there! Anyways I decided to try going again to see what is going on and the girl said that the supervisor deals with that and he's not there... I called again a couple days after that and still no answer when I know it's the right number because its the one that left me a voice and the one posted on google! its now been almost 15 days of this non sense and I really feel like something fishy is happening I hope my package wasn't lost or stolen by one of your employees! read more

This post office has to be the worst in the country. They somehow consistently lose packages and do not deliver. They've lost over $2,000 worth of valuables despite having tracking numbers showing that they are there. They try to deliver a package once and even though the business is open mark it as "closed." read more

this is the worst post office I have met in united states. I am a foreigner, I need usps international express to mail boxes to china. the shipping fee was at least $350. I been this post office. I got very bad services and be laughed at by 3 female staffs. i was very not happy, i did not ship my 4 boxes and left. i choose Chinese express company to mail my boxes. us post office you lost $350 business. me and my family just move in this area to live. me and my family and my friends, will never ever use usps to mail, whatever local or international if usps not hire right and professional staffs. This is the worst zip code for mail delivery. I have had to change to email delivery of bank and credit card statements because they get rejected by the post office and sent back because I apparently don't live here. Did not have any issues the first 2 years but since then I don't get mail from a number of institutions. It's the worst because you don't know your not getting the mail or bills and then you have late fees. I tried addressing this issue multiple time but never get a real answer or anyone willing to help me get he mail delivery. It is so frustrating and there is nothing I can do about it!!!! This Post Office location has the most arrogant employees I would not feel bad if the Asian lady gets fired, not at all. I have been avoiding this place like the plague since I had this lady(Asian) behind the counter screamed at me for filling out the wrong form a couple of years ago. Last month, because of my non profit for typhoon relief I succumbed and opened a PO Box. I should have learned my lesson and just went to an incovenient location because after a month of checking the box, nothing really came through so one day I took a day and off I went to this post office. I rang the bell where it says "ring here if you need assistance with PO box" sign. 5 minutes of ringing (I must admit it felt like revenge to hold the button down) Lo and behold appeared the same Asian lady (I will never forget the face behind the arrogance) showed up and scolded me for ringing and that she can't help me because she's "busy" and that I have to be at the "line" and wait like the others if I need help. I ignored her comment and told her that my issue was about PO box and not regular mail. "I need help with my PO box and it says right here, "ring the bell" not "fall in line".." I said all this with a little screambackatyou attitude (which I rarely do) She said "WAIT" closed the the window on my face, checked the box number and came back screaming louder this time said "This box is an empty box, nobody owns it" and she was about to close the window again when I screamed (noting that screaming gets her attention),and said "Hey you, you cant go! Why are you telling me this is an empty box here's the key - THIS IS MY BOX". She screamed back and said "WHERE did you get that key GIVE ME THAT KEY !" - ??? I could not believe it! she actually assumed I was "pretending" to be the owner of the PO Box? Does she berate everybody like this, and by the way I am Asian too? Unreal! Livid, I asked to see the station manager. This was the magic work as it seemed to calm her down and said "go around I will get someone to help" After a few minutes behind an empty window another Asian lady who's the secretary of the station manager showed up who then said that the person who took our form "forgot" to put it in the system, they are "sorry". I told them this is very disappointing, and by the way you did not "forget" to charge my credit card. She said she will make sure this is fixed, and that I could get my PO box back. I asked about the mail for 1 month's worth where did it go, she just said I dont know maybe returned? I told them hope you all can sleep at night knowing your incompetence have caused many families to wait for another round of fundraising campaign. You sleep in comfort meanwhile those who lost their houses have no roof over their heads! Would have, should have taken a day off and could have discovered the incompetence earlier or really just opened it in another Post Office location altogether. read more

I went there to submit my passport papers and get a picture taken. The camera was broken. I assumed that it had just broke earlier that day or very recently because I was not told over the phone when I scheduled the appointment. So I walked over to CVS to get my picture taken and told the staff there and they informed me that the post office's camera had been broken for two years. read more

I can't even bring myself to enumerate the bad experiences I've had at this branch over the years...and it's the only one in the area where I've experienced such bad service. And there's one thing I notice every time I go in... Valerie was one of the most rude people I've ever come across. She should not be in any kind of customer service position. I asked for a piece of tape and she stared blankly at me and said I needed to buy some, saying they don't provide tape, so I did. The lady being helped next to me by someone else needed tape and the clerk gladly handed her some to use. I cannot express enough how rude and unwilling to help customers these employees are. I run a business and have spent $15,000 on postage in the past year. I have gone to the office three times this week looking for my packages that were shipped to US destinations over 10 days ago. They have had two "supervisors" looking into their whereabouts. They literally go and pull them out of some back cabinet and say, "oh, you should have been notified." Nope. Now I am out $100 in wasted products that were being shipped, have a number of angry customers, and the Post office won't stand behind their services. Do better, Clarendon. I want to move because the mail service is so horrendous. Honestly, if you are looking to move into the area that uses this post office to get its daily mail, don't. Really. I am being 100% serious. That is how bad the service is. Some days we don't get mail. Some days we get everyone in the neighborhood's mail. At least 1-2 days/ week outgoing mail doesn't get picked up. Some days our mail is scattered all over the driveway. Recently I had a package that UPS said was delivered to my local post office for delivery sitting, waiting to be sent out for delivery for FIVE DAYS. Now it's been "out for delivery" for two days. Thank god I don't rely on their service to get any sort of medication. I hope my mailman has enjoyed trying on my Banana Republic dresses and that he gets a chance to dry clean them before delivering them to my neighbor across the street. I've called the post office and gone into to complain about how terrible their service is. No change. read more

Worst post office I've ever dealt with. It's worth moving to Rosslyn just to not have to deal with this post office. Specifically: -GIANT lines if you try to go here for anything on Saturday. -Carrier routinely crumples up mail and shoves into my mail slot. Seriously, one time all that was in there was one Christmas card and instead of sliding it in, it was crumpled up. Not just a little bent. Really crumpled. -I went on travel for a couple weeks and sent in the post card to get my mail held. I have no idea where they held it at, and when I returned, neither did they. I never did get any of my mail from those couple of weeks. -I am convinced that the mail carrier stole one of my packages. It was a birthday present for my boyfriend. He ended up getting a cake I made out of a $0.99 thing of mix. I can't afford to re-purchase $80 in gifts. I knew the package was coming so I arranged with work to telework that day. Packages shipped with USPS (which this one was) are left in my apartment building under the mailboxes. Well, it never came (I checked frequently) but the status mysteriously changed to 'delivered'. I called the post office to find out, and was told it was delivered. My complaints went up the management chain, and I was told that it must have been stolen before I got home. When I told him I had been home all day, he had no answer. All he said was that since there wasn't insurance on it, there was no guarantee that the post office would deliver. Super. For the record, I never had any issues with the Rosslyn post office. I could go on travel for two weeks there, and everything would be neatly packed into my mail box (same size as at my new apartment). read more

I have lived in seven towns in five different states, and I have never once encountered a USPS branch that was quite as incompetent as this one. Several of my orders have sat in this post office for up to three full days before finally reaching my apartment, which is approximately one mile from the building. My fiancee loves sending me cookies and baked goods, and once spent the money to overnight me a batch of chocolate chip cookies through USPS, which arrived at my doorstep three days later. I tracked the package throughout the process, and they sat at this Post Office for two days before arriving at my door with the packaging broken, and stale from being mishandled. All of my birthday cards also arrived approximately two weeks after my family members sent them. Avoid having important packages sent to you through them if you can. read more

Don't trust the US Post Office in Arlington VA, 22201. The first week of March I filed a change of address to our new home (in ZIP Code 22202) for all of our mail for forwarding to be effective March 6, 2015. I specifically handed these change of address orders to a retail associate (window clerk) at the Arlington Main Post Office and she assured me they would be taken care of. When our mail was not being forwarded but instead continued to be delivered to our old address (in ZIP Code 22201) last week I called the Arlington Main Post Office and spoke with a supervisor/postmaster there who assured me that it would be corrected, particularly since both ZIP Codes are within the Arlington VA Post Office delivery area; i.e. all the mail 'stays under one roof' in 222. As of this past weekend our mail is still being delivered to our old address (in ZIP Code 22201), literally all of it, dozens of pieces of mail of all classes clogging our mailbox. So much for postal 'service'. read more

The worst customer service expiriance ever!!! Went there few day ago to send few letters. The line was long but that's kinda normal before the holidays. Finally, when I got to the window the clerk whiteout saying hi or anything like that started screaming at me that I didn't say anything and he is not here to read my mind. He basiclly told me " you did not open your mouth!" Well, I'm sorry I have letters in my hand what do you think I need sir?!... Milk?! I'm always easy going person because I work in customer service industry and I know how hard can be sometimes, but that doesn't change the fact that you can be rude to people. I try not to go to a post office as much as possible but I do need to go in to ship some holiday gifts. And this post office is messy, understaffed, and unfriendly. Staff there has no sense of urgency when the line is out the door and they are rude. I prefer to use UPS or FedEx. This review is for the passport service at this post office. Dont even bother making an appointment - they don't track them and don't care. We arrived 15 minutes before our appointment time but there was a line of 4 people before us and now 2 hours later we're still waiting. Also, they claim to take passport photos but didn't notify us until an hour into our wait that their camera was broken, so we'd have to go to a nearby CVS to get photos and then come back. By the time we got back there were another 3 people in line ahead of us. Very frustrating. read more

5 star service ! Hi just left the post office and had the best customer service experience I've had in a while. The manager, who I did not get his name, but had a bald head and was very friendly. Greeted me upon entrance, and showed me how to work in the stamp machine. He walked me through everything without even me having to ask. Got to the post office at 9:25 to mail a letter with delivery confirmation. A man tells me which form to use and then says to wait "a moment" for the lady helping someone else. He stands there criticizing her every move while I stand there waiting for 15 minutes. She deserved the criticism, but was that really the time? In front of customers while doing nothing yourself? Then a woman walks in with three boxes and he tells her she can use the automated machine. He looks at me and says, "You can use that too." I look over at the woman with three boxes and said back "Well, now I can't." "Oh yeah. Sorry about that." Suurree you are. Maybe I need to be more post office savvy, but they could also have more than one person working the front AND someone that knows how to work more efficiently. I work across the street from this post office but now I drive down to the branch at 5877 Washington Boulevard because I have had one too many bad experiences here. It is awful, awful, awful. Horrible customer service, long lines & employees that seem to enjoy testing your patience. The 5877 Wash Blvd location is much more helpful and you'll actually see a manager come up and make sure there are employees at each counter if a line is building. What a concept! Avoid this post office at all costs unless you want to feel really stressed out for the rest of the day. read more

Nicole here is amazing. I came in with a young child and she went out of her way to make me not feel bad that he was running around. She tried to keep him occupied while I was packaging things up. Truly amazing customer service. I came back again to buy stamps and she greeted me the same warm smile and kind demeanor. OK, seriously I'm confused about 1 star ratings for this post office. It's a post office. And as far as post offices go it's probably the nicest, cleanest and best staffed one I've ever been to in this area. I felt compelled to write this review after seeing all the 1 star reviews. Are these one star reviews comparing the post office's customer service to say, Nordstrom?? If so, then fine I can understand one star. But really you should be comparing it against other post offices or even other shipping places like FedEx Kinos, UPS store, etc.. My review and rating here reflects that, and I'm giving them 4 stars cause I've been to a Fedex Kinko's that's truly 5 stars. So, sometimes you need to go to a post office, and when that need arises this post office is one of the best. I think the staff is very friendly and helpful and I have been going here for years so this is not something recent, they've always been nice. read more
