I went back to this post office and wow! Really depends who is working there. My most recent visit was great. Solid staff, helped me mail a special gift to a friend who is living overseas. Demystified the process to fill out the forms and send it. I really appreciated the experience and the diligence of the postal employee to take care of my mail and the other customers in front of me. read more

They don't actually offer passport photos and make no effort to tell you before you arrive for your appointment. Told me to go to CVS to get the photos, but turns out that the CVS couldn't take the photos. Why wouldn't they let me know in advance that they couldn't take photos. I am seething. read more

There used to be some really good workers here who were friendly and went out of there way to be helpful. I would have friendly conversation and it was very enjoyable to visit here. I haven't seen the employees I'm thinking about specifically in several months. Admittedly, I rarely go to this location any more. There are some horrendous workers here now whose attitudes absolutely just flat out suck and they seemingly get absolute joy from being complete a-holes to customers. No patience. No customer service skills, and they couldn't care less. They are rude to the customers and then talk about those customers to the one another and the other people in line. If I had to sum it up in one word, that word would be: Ratchet. On multiple occasions, I've seen over a dozen people in line here with only one register open. Other employees are there. They just don't care how long it takes to process the lines and couldn't care less how long the people in line are waiting for. I luckily don't come here very often but even to just witness employees like this who are toxic and just miserable to other customers, especially at their workplace, just makes you never want to go back. Maybe that's their mindset. They strive to make the experience so bad that people will go elsewhere. I was in and out of here in less than 5 minutes. I've driven by this post office numerous times but this was my first time going in. I'm so glad I did. It's large and not busy at all. Now, I only have this one experience to go off of, but I'll definitely be back to prove myself right. The gentleman who helped me was friendly and prompt with getting my service handled. I almost hesitate to write this review because I don't want it to become too popular (although it already might be and I could have just gone during down time in the day). Worse than a one star. A -100 stars, if that is possible. Yelp, can we please revise the ratings so that we can give negative stars? Please? The Buckingham PO is a joke. I went online before Christmas to have my mail held (just trying to make life a little easier for the carrier) while I was away, and rather than doing so, they just stuffed my mailbox, and everything that didn't fit? They threw it on my doorstep. Yes, just threw it there. Packages included. I called the PO and asked what had happened to my request (I still had the confirmation number which still showed my mail was to be held!!!), and they actually said "oh yeah, that doesn't always work". Oh yeah. Today, I received 4 pieces of mail in the mailbox; 3 were for someone else at another address, and one was junk. Where is my mail? This PO sucks. read more

I really hate going here. I am a ebay reseller and so I have to ship my packages. I will now take the extra time to not have to deal with the employees. It will mean less sales and less income for me and my business but it would be better than having to deal with the awful customer service and not helpful culture. Awful experience. Help them understand that they need to help and ask good questions and help the customer understand. They also need to understand that what the typical post office employee knows is not common knowledge to the public. There needs to be a training regime in which the associate knows it by heart and if they don't they cannot work the front desk FOH. They need to be retrained so that they memorize a script. When the customer walks in, hello how can I help you? Oh you want ____ I can help with that. Or this isn't the location where we do that. I can give you some information about where that can be done, would you like that information? This is a great example of a solutions based method. So you can help people find out what they need, provide it to them and then give them what they want. If you can't find someone who can. Remove all barriers from the employees finding a way to help the customer. The people who work here are mean and just awful. They are just not good at being empathetic and understanding and helpful. They just want you out of there quick. This isn't how things should work. No one should use the UPS stores in and around the Arlington, VA area because they are just awful. If you want to feel depressed and worthless go to a UPS store in arlington because the employees here are just not focused on giving you service. They get stressed because too many people are in line and some metrics are not being met instead of focusing on one customer at a time, one problem at a time, one solution at a time. Also I had to get my address changed and verified and I could not get it done without an argument. All I wanted to do is get my address changed and verified like my email said. I shouldn't have to argue with you, just tell me what I need to do. read more

This is our local USPS office and I was happy to discover it by accident. Does not look like your typical USPS office and location is in a strip mall on Glebe. They do have decent parking considering it is Arlington. And service for me has been quick - even on Saturday afternoons! read more

Shout out to the two ladies (yes only two people working) handling the window at the Buckingham Post office on Glebe. I entered the post office today at 2:05pm. 12 people in line in front of me and the line extended rapidly behind me. Everyone was wearing a mask and properly distanced 6ish ft apart, even when the line extended beyond the markers. One gentleman's mask fell below his nose and he didn't seem to notice. Not too long below his nose it was moved back up properly. The line moved quickly thanks to the only TWO people working the counter. I was back in my car (not parked close to door) at 2:27pm. As far as post office visits during the holidays go, today's experience was a win! read more

I have been using this post office for 3 years. People have been really great since a new white guy came. He acts like he is above the job or something. Really rude, he stood there like he is mad at the world and through packages around. I cant image if i had to ask him to help me with anything, he is just mean. I miss the Asian guy Lee. read more

Too start off, the brick front is not this USPS; the picture is from the 1210 S. Glebe Rd PO. This PO has an all white exterior that was probably painted over 10 years ago; making it look like a condemed building. I've been here 3 times due to it's proximity to my workplace and every time there is a huge line with one-two tellers. Today I had a 15min wait with only 7 people in the line because there was only 1 person working the front. And this was at lunch time, which I would think is one of their more demanding hours. Fortunately, the one woman that was working was a real delight and I've been helped by her 2/3 times. She was very kind, helpful and informative. read more

Located in the strip mall across from CVS/Ravi Kabob. It's basically a big room with nothing in the middle. No automated machine here. Only two people working so there's usually a wait of several minutes for small lines. The guy was nice so 2 stars, but not conveniently located, and annoying lot to get in and out of. read more

Came to apply for passports for my children. Had two appointments. I arrived at 11:45 but children's father was at the office by 1120 am filling out paperwork. I'm a mother of three and needless to say have a lot going on a daily basis. The memorial bridge was closed so I had to take a detour. Arrived and the individual in the back was rude and irrupt. Her "supervisor" was useless. I they stated they couldn't assist us because they only had that one employee on the floor mind you the location was empty. Never will I come to this location. I was disgusted and felt completely judge. STAY AWAY from this location. I left and wrote this review as soon as I got to the car. They are doing customer service work but lack absolutely everything that is required to work with people. read more

The most incompetent clerks. I go in to ship out some priority mail packages with postage already attached. One item is in a priority mail box that is a 1/4" different in size than the official "Medium rate box". So, the clerk says it twice the price now, oh and the medium rate box is 1/4" bigger !!! Then, he calls over the supervisor who is equally anal about nothing and says it needs to be in the "Medium rate box" or nothing !!! What kind of idiots are these. So, now i'm wasting another box & time by transferring the items over, all while stating my disgust about this event and how it this completely unnecessary. And then, the supervisor threatens that I "might lose my packages" and he's going to call the police if I don't calm down. They have no understanding as to whole concept of how the customer is always right. And, to threaten me that my fully paid and properly sealed packages "might get lost" is crazy. These people need to be fired and go back to making minimum wage at best buy or whatever.. I'm got receipts for the packages and will be tracking them closely. Either way, I sending a formal complaint to Post master general demanding staffing changes be made ASAP. This is not the first incident. Hope this helps. read more

Had to get a package out to a friend quickly so I headed over here during lunch time. There were two people working and only other customer so i was helped almost immediately. The lady who saw me me was super nice and provided the best service I have ever had at a USPS. She wrapped my package pristinely and I was out of the USPS office under 15 minutes. The other male worker, however, spent most of his time ignoring the only other customer and slinking off to the break room- guess the quality of service here is dependent who you see. read more

The wait is usually very long, but there are a few women in there who can get people in and out pretty quickly. Unfortunately, USPS has some interesting rules and forms which make their jobs tough. You still have to be nice though! read more

I visit this post office several times a week and always receive prompt and pleasant service. The clerks are very helpful and willing to assist with any questions. It's also pretty easy to find parking which is a plus when you're carrying lots of packages!! read more

It said my package arrived Aug 7 to the Arlington location then out for delivery; never delivered. So what did they do with my package containing 600$ worth of clothes? Did the postal worker decide to keep my stuff for him/herself? The tracking number has no updated information so it just disappeared in thin air? This post office lost my package, I gave Clerk (Patric) the package on January the 15th and i went there today to see where my package was he told me that the packages leave every night, I asked who will pay for my $180 item, He told me to call this number 703-698-6350 (consumer affairs). On the first of February i also went and i called and nothing, i opened a case with them they told me about first class mail and nothing about my case, USPS really sucks, they have tons of money and don't hire the right nor enough people to do the job. read more
