The biggest waste of time. I've never seen people move slower than paint drying, but this USPS location managed to do that. At one point, an employee answered her personal phone while there was a line out the door, then had the audacity to close her station to "do passports".... They don't answer the phone (why even have one?) or take walk in passport appointments even though the website clearly says they do. The USPS website crashes every time I tried to make an appointment. So incredibly unhelpful and useless. And their reason for not taking walk in passport apts is because they are 'understaffed', 1/2 of the people in line were there for passports (and there were only 5-6 people waiting to be helped). There is no reason one line couldn't have been for mail and the other for passports for the 1.5 hour of walk in apts. Will not be back. read more

You could hire competent individuals to run the Post Office instead of people too damn lazy to do their job. They don't answer the phone. They miss deliver mail all the time. They're too lazy to put packages on your porch. They throw them out at the road or in the middle of the yardetc.. I would imagine that the average third grader could do just as good of a job if not better than the Postal Service here in Acworth Georgia. I've never had problems with any other Post Office in any other state that we have with Acworth all the time. I hate it when they tell me they're shipping by the Postal Service because it is the worst delivery system around especially Acworth at least with FedEx or UPS or I know I'll get my package. There's no guarantee with Acworth Post Office that you'll ever get your packages and they're not gonna answer your phone calls . I find this post office in downtown Acworth to be appalling, they never answer the phone, I've tried over and over again to speak with POST MASTER, but to no avail, nothing no return call, the mail carrier constantly delivers the mail late in the evening, sometimes at 7-7:30 PM ,OR NOT at All, mail on the ground, when I speak to him, he could care less, he has told me he's old and biding his time to get to his 20 years, It seems as though mgmt as well as their employees are lazy and incompetent. The USPS in Georgia has been really slowed down. A lot of my eCommerce customers, clients, and b2b/b2c partnerships were not happy with the flow rate of business that happens around here. I really appreciate the USPS guys though maybe their management isn't effective at the moment or there are other factors to their slow down and operational delays. Absolutely the worst mail delivery service possible. Mail delivered from 12 PM very seldom if at all. Usually 6:30 PM TO After 8 pm almost always. Very to no exceptions from night time . I been at adress for several years. Each is gotten absolutely worse every year. read more

One employee! ONE!!! After waiting in line for over 35 minutes with a line behind me still lining up out the door, I get to the desk to pick up my package (which was NOT in my box that I rent there) I was told that she couldn't find it however it COULD be in the pile on the end of the counter. I was told I could not look in it, understandable, but because she was the only employee she is unable to check for me. Hmmm, isn't that your job? Out of courtesy to the dozen people behind me I did not push her to do so which honestly from past experiences I knew she would refuse anyway. I had a photo and the package was clearly marked and would only have taken a minute. This happened with my last delivery and just 30 mins later it was in my box. She assured me that there was no way it would be there in 30 mins due to the high volume of patrons waiting in line. Again, I believe it was her job to look just as she had taken others NOT in line to find theirs. Judging by the reviews this is a typical issue and adding another employee to help would likely change the poor service at this station. I'll drive back there just before they close today to see if she completed her duty but will not be surprised If not. She was not ugly about it, guess I was lucky in that regard, but appears to be lazy about it. if I had other choices for delivery location I'd use it but without boring details, I cant. If USPS questions why business is lacking for them they need to look at the service or lack thereoff, that they provide for us! read more

I've been waiting for some prescriptions from my doctor they were to be delivered certified I have been in my living room with the front door open to a glass door and yesterday I saw the mailman he did not come up to my door he left the form in my mailbox stating that I have to go into the post office to pick it up with the virus going around I do not feel comfortable going into the small post office There is no way to get anyone on the phone all you get our recordings or just constant rings and then a busy I think this is horrible customer service read more

I really like this post office. They're definitely not the fastest, but due to the relatively low number of folks usually inside, that really doesn't bother me. It's just because they actually take the time to explain things to people or to humor the little chit chat attempts, so I can't fault that at all. Physical location service is horrible and calling in is even worse. The actual location provides the most non friendly customer service experience ever and if you call in, expect to be on hold for eternity. Calling in and telling the automated system you want to speak to a representative or customer service doesn't not work, I literally had to say "let me speak to a real person". Once transferred there's a 25-30 minute hold. I had a package that I have been waiting on that should have been delivered but was updated as undeliverable due to not being able to access my location. I live in a cul de sac in a subdivision with the mailboxes located in front of my house on the edge of the street where they managed to deliver the useless junk that comes every week such as flyers, local magazines, etc. but somehow could not deliver my package? I would like to assume possibly the package was too big for my mailbox but that would just mean leave it at the door like normal or ring the bell, both of which did not happen. I'm in my 60's have used the Acworth Main Street Post Office for 19yrs, retired here in Georgia from upper Midwest. The business of this Office can be a problem due to the Passport picture etc..and they just don't answer the phone, but there is one thin, tall female who works around the others and in back she walks right past the ringing phone..she could answer it. Probably the worst/slowest location I've ever been to. They continually delay package delivery dates, and do not allow you to go to the store to pick it up. I would rather pay FedEx to take care of all my shipping than UPS/USPS at this point.
