For what is now the third time I have experienced the joy of an incompetent USPS employee failing to deliver a package under the guise of "No Access to Delivery Location" AFTER picking up my outgoing mail!!! We have only two possible options here -- the employee is so mentally challenged he/she/it forgets what a mailbox looks like and what it is used for milliseconds after collecting outgoing mail from it, OR he/she/it is a liar. And when I call to complain, magically their tracking service is down, so of course they can't explain what happened or why. The worst post office around my area. The employees are always rude and no matter what your complaint is about something going on with their location. It's always your fault. I've seen them be extremely rude to elderly people that are coming in with questions. I drive all the way to Rockmart to deal with my post office needs. My advice avoid this location. read more

This post office tempers with your mail. Whenever we have a delivery that comes from Amazon via the post office, it has ALWAYS been tampered with. We never have this problem when AMAZON delivers the package themselves- however, when it come through the USPS to our address it has been opened/tampered with. Standard post office: which means not very good. As I write this review, it's 10:00 AM, and I am 8th I a line of 11 people. The clerks seem nice enough, but it's clear there's no hurry and customer satisfaction isn't a priority. This is why I ship UPS (I'm actually here to return a package that was wrongly delivered to my house). The place is fairly clean. All in all, it's a standard post office, which isn't terrific, but fortunately, UPS is available nearby in the Kroger shopping center. read more

Tracy at the front counter went above and beyond when I lost a package. I mistakenly gave a package to my carrier that had a label for UPS. When I discovered this, I went to the Post Office and explained this to Tracy. She went to look for the package but was unable to locate it. She took down my information and I left. The next day Tracy called me and told me she had found and secured my package. This was not only incredibly timely but definitely exceeded my expectations. When I visit this location there are normally 3 different windows open and dozens of people in line so I know they are busy. During all of my conversations with Tracy she was engaging, understanding, and empathetic to my concerns and this was what set this experience apart for me. I would like to personally thank Tracy for taking the time out of her busy day to help a customer. It was much appreciated. read more

My neighbors and I are really getting tired of the USPS truck flying down our streets and not doing their job properly. They say they "tried" to deliver A package but couldn't when in fact I watched the mail carrier fly around corners trying to get done because they were 4 hours later than they usually Are. The carrier barely stopped to drop the mail off and took off to the next one NOT trying to deliver any packages. She didn't even stop to get out. This is the worst post office. I can't count the number of times that I've had packages lost after I've given them directly to the post person in front of my house. I've had to request that my packages be scanned now as soon as I hand them over. If you don't, no matter the item or it's value, you're out of luck. And don't use the combined service where they work with Fed Ex or UPS to deliver. If your item is lost nobody wants to accept responsibility. My neighbors are always RE-delivering my mail and me theirs as well. That's personal to me because I never know what mail I'm not receiving that I should. I recently called this post office and tried to get them to resend my package that I sent with First Class Insurance from the Dallas, GA office to Madrid Spain, after failure of sending the package in Madrid my package was then sent all the way back to this location in Dallas, GA. So I contacted the claims department because I sent this package off in September and bought insurance incase off something like this happening to then be told by the lady in the Dallas, GA office that even though I have coverage on the box I would need to REPAY to have my box sent back internationally when this is all of my stuff from home, so now I am stuck with no things for the winter in Spain it is freezing and I can not retrieve my mother's urn where her ashes are. The lady in the office didn't care about my problems so I came here to see if USPS cares how their customers are being treated. I have now been waiting on this package from USPS which I have been told looks destroyed for 3 months. I hope some one can help! One thing no one mentions is if you are abroad and do not still have a US number good luck trying to contact USPS. I have a new SIM card but the fact that International calls or an office for international disputes does not exist, is quite disheartening. I TO THIS DAY have not resolved this issue and have started a claim because my almost 300$ have now went in the drain, I have not received my package, so basically there was no point in buying insurance if they do not hold their end of the bargain. I would appreciate if some one in USPS office would attend to this issue! I have no money to REPAY for my things the I specifically boxed and shipped here. Worst service ever! I have fought with these delivery drivers since living here 8 years ago. I even signed an agreement with them to leave all packages at my gate as the drivers are not permitted to open any gates to come to the house. I refuse to go to the post office to pick up any packages which I pay to have delivered. I pay for a service and expect it. I do not want my packages left out near the street as I cannot see them from our house and I do not want anything stolen. I have a written agreement with the post office. I cannot do anymore than that. Yesterday, the post office employee lied about my delivery from Amazon. They said they did not have access to our driveway. There is a gate at the top of our driveway. They did Not leave me any note advising they tried to deliver. They never came to my address. I searched the mailbox as well as all around on the ground up and down our driveway. They have a very lazy driver delivering on Sundays. I am so angry because this was settled years back to leave all packages at our gate! What's it going to take for employees to DO THEIR JOB! It doesn't help calling the post office. They give you a song and dance. Gosh, I do Not use their service if I can get away with it. I detest this organization! Extremely slow and poor service. The frequently miss deliver and crush packages and envelopes that clearly say fragile or do not bend. Don't bother forwarding mail with them, they ignore the forward order and deliver all your mail to the old address even though the forwarding order has been in place for a couple months and you triple checked it was done right on your end. When you bring the matter to their attention they just say sorry and they don't know how to fix it. How to fix it?!? Just follow the forwarding order!! read more

This is by far the worst post office, worst customer service n etc I've ever experiment. I've moved from Atlanta to here and I have a business that requires me to ship out very often. And my business requires fast shipping. So I usually schedule a pick up so the mail people can pick it up in route. And in Atlanta it was never a problem but over here. All the mail person does is confirm they've picked it up and never pick up my package. I Spock with the manager of this post office about this but the mail person keeps doing the same thing. I sent a Lap Top Computer about 1 month ago... I admit I should have taken Insurance, but I didn't think to at the time, and it was never suggested when I sent it with the Clerk. Well needless to say it never made it to Hanover Park, IL as intended. We had the package tracked and investigated, and so far have taken 2 trips back to the Dallas, Ga USPS Office for follow-up. See they don't call you to tell you it's lost, and it's not their concern. "You didn't Insure it and theirs nothing we can do". Well the item never left Georgia... it never made it to Memphis Tn. as it should have. I'm no "investigator" but it's easy to see it was an inside job. Someone at the Post Office stole it before it ever left the State of Georgia. Thieves working at Dallas Georgia USPS needs to be of high concern. I once trusted the US Post Office with everything, but they have lost all of my Trust now! I have lived at the same address for the last 14.5 years. During that time we have the same postal carrier for the majority of the time. Tammy was kind and took pride in her job. She was either reassigned or retired (getting told different stories). For the last 4 months either (1) I go days without receiving mail (2) my mail is delivered to my neighbor or (3) I receive a week's worth of mail all in one day. I am a business owner in Hiram, GA. Over the past few years our mail service has become unreliable. Usually one day a week the mail never comes. Often times it comes after 5PM in the evening. Usually 1 or 2 times a week we get mail addressed to other addresses. I have also ordered items with tracking numbers on them. The tracking shows them out for delivery but they do not show up that day. I even had one item showed delivered but it was not. It finally showed up 3 days later. I have always been very happy with my mail delivery and the Post Office in Hiram, until about 2 or 3 months ago. Now, we do not receive our mail until around 6:00 or 6:30. Receive our neighbors mail regularly and one day we did not received our mail at all. It came the next morning around 8:00 and when I looked on informed delivery the package that was set to be delivered, all of the sudden said unable to deliver "No Access". There was no problem getting into our subdivision cars were coming in regularly. Now it is 7:15p.m. still no mail and of course the mail in my box that I wanted to mail, NOT PICKED UP. What I have to say about this post office, is the delivery process alone. I have owned 4 homes before moving to Dallas, Ga, with several different mail carriers and have never had a continuous problem with not receiving important mail, except from this actual post office alone. Getting other peoples mail is also a routine problem as well. Trying to contact this post office is impossible because they have a continuous busy signal on the phone. That's when I knew that this post office has had many other issues before. My father and brother were both mail carriers, so I know some of what they are doing to result in common mistakes for mail delivery. In order to cut back on pay, they order employees to hold mail so that carriers can skip boxes to save time and this sets up future problems in mail deliveries. First off, holding mail is a federal offense. I have ways of proving that this actual post office has done this. I also have written to the Post Master about this office holding mail. After doing this a few times, I did notice the mail got better. I recommend that if you're having issues with any post office, "The Post Master" is to be contacted with actual details of a continuous problem. You're wasting your time otherwise. read more

Also would like to know why the rural carrier does not delivery priority mail boxes, but leaves a notice behind. IT WAS PRIORITY MAIL, definitely not doing their job. I have parcels shipped to me from around the world. I am fed up with this office. I have people at home at all times to receive my packages. All you have to do is walk up to the door and ring the doorbell or knock. Time and time again, they have failed to do the bare minimum. Instead, I have to somehow go and pick up my packages when I have a 9-5 job in Marietta. Making it impossible for me to even pick up said packages. Oh, and they don't even leave a notice on the door. So, that's always fun when I have to explain to the clerk at the office why I don't have said slip to redeem said package IF I manage to make it to this office in time. Honestly, would it kill any of the delivery men and women to have basic human decency and do the bare minimum? At least act like you give a fuck about your job and leave a notice if you are just going to be a lazy piece of shit and not even ring the doorbell or knock. If you can't even do that, why are you even working there? It's like dealing with an attitude in a drive-thru. Too bad they don't have a "No Stars" rating. Still no mail delivery after I was informed that they "resumed" delivery of my mail on 3/14/17. I put a hold on my mail for 7 days while I went on vacation and instructed them to keep my held mail until I came in person to pick it up. Well, I went in on 3/15 to pick up my mail, straight from the airport, and they said my box was empty, so they did not know where my mail was. I told them my instructions were to "HOLD " those 7 days until I came in person to pick it up. The clerk said, "Well, you can talk to a supervisor" I just threw my hands up in the air, and walked out. When I pulled in the driveway, my mail was in the box, door open, wind blowing hard, 35 degrees outside temperature. Since that day, no mail. I have important things sent through the mail, and I feel that this post office is about the most incompetent group of employees I have ever met. I get no satisfaction from any of them. It's all Oh, we're so sorry, but are they going to pay late charges on utility bills, if and when I ever get the bill? They really don't give a damn. Over the 5 months I have been at my Hiram address, I have complained three times about my carrier's leaving the mailbox open, missing packages at Xmas, and overstuffing the box instead of walking that package up to my front door.
