The ladies that work here are super friendly even though it is almost always busy busy busy here! They do have P.O. This particular package had to have a signature to be delivered and we were unable to be at home for the first part of the morning. This package was very important and we needed it today, not tomorrow. I got home and there was a little orange notice on my door stating that I could pick it up tomorrow at 8:30 am. So I called them and asked if there was any way I could just swing by and pick it up tonight. Nope. We couldn't since the mail person wouldn't be back until after four. So they called our mail person. Turns out Courtney had only just left and was just around the corner. She turned around and drove back to deliver our package. I am so happy that we have such an amazing team at our post office who are willing to go out of their way to make sure people get taken care of!

And true to form about 2 minutes after walking in the door I had this place at one star. Almost all the terminals were not working or barely working. When my mouse froze the representative told to just wait a minute and it will come back. Hmmm after a minute it didn't come back and it kicked me out because of lack of activity. Just wow. Well I final found a terminal that seemed to work and was going through the many screens when I was told I'm completely on the wrong screen. lol. The employee had mercy on me and took over for me and finished the application in about 20 seconds. The clerk at the next station was very nice and helpful. Got my vision test (passed) and new photo id, paid and was on my way. There needs to be some major improvement on their terminals but the 2 representives that help me through the process were excellent! For that, they saved the review and experience to a much higher rating.

I think that they are under appreciated and cant say enough good things about them. However... I pulled out of Chase bank at Hickory Road and HWY 140 this morning (1/13/18) about 11am heading towards Hickory Flat School. A deputy in an Explorer pulled out of the new construction area on Hickory behind me as though giving chase. No lights or siren but rode my bumper so close that I couldn't see his front grill. With the growing number of wrecks on this very busy block, as well as the recent fatalities which have claimed neighbors of mine, it was a very uncomfortable and unnecessary traffic event. I turned right on E. Cherokee, deputy hugged me the whole time and then... crossed the double yellow to pass me in a school zone. Then entered oncoming lane and blocked traffic at E Cherokee and 140 intersection to have a black Nissan pickup pull over into old HF store lot where they spoke (maybe) long enough for the deputy to shake a finger... but not write a ticket. Then the Nissan went on his way. I am intensely curious about why a deputy in this county would/could break that many traffic laws and endanger any number of citizens for what was apparently a non offense. I'm pretty sure anybody else would have been field tested and cuffed. Unacceptable.
