Holding my package hostage for a week and won't answer the phone. Absolutely ridiculous.

I have been shipping items on Depop for months using this location. Months ago a lady directed me to use the shipping bags and I've had no issue. Today, a lady told me in line that "next time" I would have to purchase boxes or bring my own. So I stood in line and when I got to the front they refused to ship the items even though I had a QR code on my phone. They were both rude about it and even though she verbatim said "next time", she still wouldn't ship my items this time. read more

I have a winter home in FL due my wife's health. This was my first and last year requesting my mail to be transferred between December to April. It was three weeks before any mail was received in FL. Made a few bills arrived a little late but was able to handle online. To our friends surprise all of our Christmas cards were "returned to sender address unknown". Which again I could live with. However, when all my tax documents but one were returned to sender and I had to prove my existence to get duplicates, was the straw that caused this review. Getting duplicates and having to file an extension with one government agency when another government agency screwed up is ridiculous. Pretty effective service on my visits. The cashier was friendly and efficient. She saved me 7 dollars by making a logical suggestion, which I really appreciated. She also asked me if I needed anything else in the sweetest tone. The main area was clean and well stocked. It is close to my house and has limited Saturday hours. On my first couple of visits only one of the cashier booths were open. Today, a Saturday, all three were open. read more

I would give a ZERO, but that's not an option. This is the most incompetent postal service I've ever had to deal with! We have live across the country and this location is the absolute worst and give the postal service a BAD name. They could, and usually do, screw up anything! read more

I would suggest another place if a passport is needed. The lady that does the passports is rude. Would not do my passport even with an appointment because I was late. She was not able to do it last time because I did not have an appointment. However she was able to work other people in without an appointment then. read more

As a fellow post office nerd...I basically love all post offices. So it may sound redundant but I do this post office! How this one differs from the one in Woodstock and Holly Springs is that they do process passports. All you need to do is call them and make an appointment. You can check their website for all the documents that you may need https://www.usps.com/international/passports.htm Their location is behind the Home Depot on Riverstone Parkway. There is a Publix, a Michael's and a Chase Bank in the shopping center across from them. I've been here dozens of times to drop off packages and never had any problems. There is always plenty of parking and the lines always move quickly. Most of all fun and friendly clerks to chat with...I always enjoy my visits here. Thanks guys...keep up the good work! read more

Worst post office I've ever dealt with. Various pkgs/ mail showing delivered and still not in my PO BOX weeks later. Things like my new AE credit cards , disability checks , pkgs from Walmart , etc. not sure what the issue is but this office sucks read more

To follow-up on my last complaint and the reasonn I've down graded the USPS to 1 Star. That's only because I can't put in a ZERO. April 2023 I sent a check via USPS to the IRS for my estimated taxes. Fast forward to March 2024 and via my USPS Informed Delivery I see posted for the days delivery a photograph of that envelop from April 23 saying its "undeliverable." I'm not a very smart person but to me that adds up to 11 months of floating in the USPS system. I march down to my mailbox and the envelope wasn't there. 10 Days have passed and still it has not reached me. I go to the Canton PO and speak with a supervisor. Nice young man, explains the problems normally arise at the sorting house in Palmetto, Ga. He gives me a few reasonable sounding answers and is very courteous. However, nothing justified the 11 months and counting and that my check and private information is floating in their inner sanctum? Are they going to pay my late fees? I don't think so. My account called and my taxes are ready. I say, mail them to me. He's says, it too important to trust that kind of information with the USPS and I should pick them up! Sorry folks but USPS is in the toilet. Not to say there's no hard workers but the system is fractured and the only way to repair it is to close it down and source the servce to another company. read more

Unfortunately, one was my rent check which was dated Oct. 16th, mailed Oct. 17th, which was never delivered. Took a trip to the PO to mail a second check, which, by the way, was for rent due this month (Nov.) I explained to the clerk that I actually mailed two checks that day and neither one was received by either party. Guess what, "we have hundreds of mail coming through this office, you did not certify that letter, and it could of been shredded!" Mail shredded? I cannot afford the stop payment of $33 for this rent check, the bank in Morgantown will not stop the process, if they ever do receive it, and the check can be cashed up to six months. So suffice it to say, I paid double rent for Nov. Election or covid or incompetence, you decide. read more

Horrible service. Went to this post office to ship of a package I understand you gotta pay for the envelope that you need to send the package off but come to find out they do not tape the label on it for you. The lady told me we have to buy tape from them to use. Like really?? Just to tape one piece of paper? They taking advantage of people especially in times like this They used to do that but now they don't. Note to others that go to this post office bring your own tape or you would have to buy their expensive tape. read more

Havent received mail in several days! We never know if our mail is going to run from one day to the next - at this point we cant depend on the services of USPS however millions of dollars in stimulus money is being filtered thru the US Postal Service and its truly scary! read more

Worst delivery service we've had in our 60 years of life: For over 5 years , our mail has been left out in the rain in a variety of places, but NEVER under the overhang on our very accessible porch for protection from the weather. Mail is sometimes smashed into the box so tight we have to work it until we can remove it without destroying pieces of it, and/or the contents of any pkgs. We've picked up soggy mail (on numerous occasions) that were left out where it cld be rained on. It is so maddening to think WE PAY for this service. Would love to change companies if only that were possible!!! read more

Needed to get a passport, so was glad to see it could be done here, but by phone appointment only. No less than three days of calling to set up the appointment resulted in busy signals each day. No one ever answered the phone in those three days. Found a second number at the same location which rang a dozen times and hangs up without any explanation. It is the lack of pride and professionalism as exhibited in this facility that gives all post offices a bad name. Shame on you all at the Canton Post Office, especially its manager, for such a sad example of a once-proud American institution. read more

Had a package taken from my front porch. Went in and tried talking to the lady with the long white hair about having all packages kept at the post office and I would pick them up. It shouldn't have been a big deal but she was discourteous and pretentious, which was surprising and seemed to come out of no where. Another fine government employee. read more
