The tech soaked my tips off, then blamed me for not telling her (when I scheduled a fill and told her that's why I was there). And honestly it was pretty obvious those were not my real nails. She then told me I had to get a new set every single time with dip which is absolutely not true. So in addition to that, I got charged for coffin when they are definitely square. She painted gel overtop loose powder covering my nails. She left some old acrylic on my nails and painted gel overtop chunks of it. And then she found it appropriate to file my nails after the gel top coat was applied and cured. I'm still confused over that one. So yeah, I'll attach a photo of what $50 looks like.

The massage was the best part of all of it, which was not just a quick 2 to 3 minute massage per leg. However, the manicures were terrible. I get builder gel which usually lasts 3 to 4 weeks. Within a week the tips of my nails were breaking off. I also had gotten French manicure and before the tips were breaking off the paint was chipping. My mom got an acrylic refill. Within 3 to 4 days of her refill, the paint was starting to chip off her nails. She usually does not have that problem.

I actually received a style I've been longing for, recommendations on bang length, curl/wave/body kept and styled, to make me feel beautiful. Came back again (a few months later) for enhanced grey coloring/touch ups. Cassie combined several grey tones and worked her magic. The next day though, is telling of true magic (the washing of my hair). Two nights later, I washed my hair using my fav Lush product, slept on a wet head, awoke to lush, soft curls and a near to perfect shag.

At that point, I mentioned that I had a combination of gel and dip powder on my nails and asked whether that would be an issue. In hindsight, I recognize this is something I should have clarified before booking, and I'll be more mindful of that going forward (not at this salon). The manicurist told me she hadn't brought the tools required to remove dip powder and began discussing the situation with the technician beside her. One of the first things her colleague asked was, "What time is your next appointment?" They then reviewed her schedule on her phone and concluded there wasn't enough time to complete my service--despite the fact that the delay was on their end, and we were already well into my appointment slot. Throughout this exchange, they spoke quietly among themselves rather than directly addressing me. Feeling dismissed and frustrated, I got up and went to the front desk to ensure my card on file wouldn't be charged, as the salon requires credit card information when booking. The receptionist, who appeared visibly irritated, reiterated that there wasn't sufficient time for the service. When I pointed out that my appointment had begun over 20 minutes prior, she curtly replied, "Well, that's because that was the club owner." The implication--that the owner's time was more valuable than that of a paying client--was both baffling and disappointing. The lack of professionalism and communication left me with a deeply negative impression. I sincerely hope this feedback encourages more respectful treatment of all clients, regardless of their status.

My technician tried several other colors, and we settled on one that was the closest. I will not return for this reason. The color I had on my toes I liked, but I did not like the color I had to settle for on my nails. They should do a better job of matching regular polish to gel polish. Other salons can do it, so it's not rocket science. The place is clean and the technician was very friendly. The gel manicure held up for three plus weeks.
