My husband and I bought our quartz counter top at IKEA. The price was within our budget and quartz was our number one choice. Calling to schedule the appointment was easy. I spoke with Barb throughout the whole process and she was very helpful with explaining the process and setting up the appointments. The guy who did the template was ok. He suggested to place the seam in the middle of the sink, he said the seam would be "barely noticeable". Trusting his professional opinion we went with that option. However, If I could do it over, I would not have went with this option.* (I will post photos up after this review, showing you why.) 2 weeks later the fabricators came in to install the countertops. This is where we had problems, the cut of the slab for the two seams was cut at an angle, so there was a huge gap in the middle (this was later on filled with epoxy, but the gap is so big it is very noticeable), this visible seam was located right in the middle of our sink! Also, in the middle of our island, there was a huge black rock that was placed right in the middle. There was also a chip in the corner that they later, filled in with epoxy to cover it. I emailed Barb with our concerns, the first email I got back they tried to say that this is considered, "normal", the second email I sent, asking them to make things right and to have someone come in to take a look at it, I was not very happy I had to continue to complain at the poor work that they were trying to pass as "normal". After the second email, I got a response saying they would like to set an appt. to fix up all the major issues I had listed. A week later, they came back, the fabricator and a manager, to fix up all the problems and to also explain any issues.... they fixed most of the problems (as best as they could), but overall, I still feel unhappy with the end result... this does not mean to say, I did not like the guys who came, they were both nice people. However, the end result of the product that they sold us, is mediocre. No matter how well they explained that there needs to be an angle cut to have the best adhesion possible for the seam, will not change the fact that their is a visible gap that doesn't come close to being considered "nearly visible", and the fact that it's right in the middle of the focal point (the sink). That should not be okay. We spent quite a bit of money to enjoy the luxury of having quartz countertops and now I'm having big regrets doing it. I honestly think, if I were to do it over again. I would spend the extra money to go with a different company to have it look professional and exceptional. Overall, they are nice people but it's the craftsmanship that I am dissatisfied with and unhappy with. I am also disappointed that I had to email them twice before they offered to come back and fix things, my husband and I had to take another day off to be there for it and I am left with an overall feeling of... "It's ok, I guess". It's not terribly bad anymore but it's not great either. If you do decide to go with them here is some advice: - Research where you want your seam located. - Ask them for photo references of their former work. So you know what to expect from them, and if it does not look like those example, have them fix it. - Ask them if you can personally pick your own slab. (So you won't have a huge defective rock in the middle of your island) - DO NOT sign any papers if you are unhappy with their work. Hope this helps. Good luck. read more

Took a chance, and glad I did! I almost cancelled my measuring and installation because of all the negative reviews. Barb, contrary to other reviewers, was quite pleasant and responsive, especially during the busy holiday season after the Ikea kitchen sale. I never had to wait more than 2 rings before she picked up. She even told me what to do and prepare for before the installers came. Barb scheduled Trevor to come out with the laser and template, spending about two hours to take the measurements. Arrived ON TIME, ON SCHEDULE! About 10 days after Trevor came out to template, Barb called to schedule the installer. The installers came ON TIME, ON SCHEDULE. Another good sign. But alas, things didn't go as smoothly as I'd wish. Daniel and his crew prep'd everything but the counter wasn't cut properly (even with the fancy lasers). They had to call home base and they decided that they'll need to recut the piece as it was over 1/2 inch off in two pieces, in two different areas. SIGH. I had to hold my breath a little, but I've heard much worst kitchen remodel stories. This was Tuesday morning. The same afternoon, Barb calls me and told me that they had our Cosmo White in stock and was able to cut!!!! WHOOHOO! Wednesday afternoon, Barb calls me again and said Daniel can come Thursday morning. This is literally TWO days! AWESOME! The next time Daniel and his crew came again, and this time, everything went quite smoothly. Undermount sink went in smoothly (FYI, I have the Kraus 30", search Amazon or Lowes. It's a great sink but was a tight fit, especially since I have a garbage disposal and a RO water filter). Note 1: Since they have limits on how large a piece of rock can be, large kitchens will have a seam. Templater will give you options on where you want the seam. One reviewer had it in the middle of the sink, which is no good. I had it on the far corner of a window, and you could barely notice it. Note 2: There will be imperfections in Caesarstone countertops from Ikea. They're 93% stone and no stone is "perfect". I've learned to live with / deal with it. If you go to Ikea show rooms, more often than not, you'll see a spec or dot or something in the counter tops. Even with a "level 3 counter" that we had, there were various specs in the counter. Kind of lame, but it's normal for this price point. I've learned that the only way to avoid this is to go to a specialty shop and they will hand pick the slab. Of course, that will also double (triple) the price of the counter size. Note 3: I didn't have a backsplash, and wasn't planning to put one any time soon. Thus, I asked Trevor to measure tight into the wall. This means that there is less than 1/64 of an inch to caulk from counter to wall. Hope that helps! Happy kitchen remodeling! :) read more

My kitchen counter tops are beautiful. We upgraded the countertops in two phases. First was the kitchen bar area and then the main counters. So we went through the process twice. In both cases the ordering at IKEA was easy. Scheduling was prompt. The template process and the installation were professional. Our template technician took his time to get the layout just right. Both groups of installers made sure all was perfect before leaving. We have a seam at the sink area, and I can't tell where it is. A big shout out to Barb and Shay for helping with scheduling and for answering questions during the remodel, to Ramal the template guy for his dedication to perfection, and to Victor, Marco, Diego and his associate for beautiful installations. Original purchase was made on 11/29/2018. I called after 3 weeks for not getting the call for measurement. I talked to US Granite and they told me they were waiting on the proof of purchase from Ikea still. When I told them I made the purchase back in 11/29, she put me on hold and came back saying "It must have come in today, it right here....." After scheduling the measure, install date was made. Barb was great at looking at the location of other install to let me know that we area second install for that day and installers will be on time. 1.............2..............3............4...............hours go by and no call from installer. ****Well I get a call from Barb letting me know that there were some "rough" spots and granite had to be repolished. So according to this version, no body had looked over the pieces to see if it was ready to be installed until the morning of the install. Installers were there at US Granite at 6:30AM and does it take 4 hours to polish 40sq ft of rectangular counter top? This install was for my business, and my manager had to leave since they got started on the job 4 1/2 hours late, I have to trop everything and rush back to office to allow for this job to get done. Installers were great! very professional and easy to work with. However these guys are not part of their company but US Granite, they just outsource install jobs to private companies. OH and the other job that was scheduled before me... these guys didn't even make it out there and they were headed there around 2:30 when finished with my office... So they had been waiting since 9am for their install. Their material looks good, measuring process was good, communication with Barb was good.... Its just their internal manufacturing and order handling department that really brings the review for this place down. I have been trying to work with floor manager to resolve this issue but after two calls, he continues to tell me that he needs to talk to Ikea and work with them to resolve my issue. Well it wasn't Ikea who made the granite pieces rough and delayed the install that morning, so I just don't get the delay in resolving this situation. read more

We recently ordered an IKEA kitchen with Quartz counter tops done by US Granite. Our experience with their customer service was not acceptable, and we decided to cancel our order before the template was made. Our first contact with them to set up a time to prepare the counter template was rough. We realized that it was getting into the holiday season and schedules were tighter than normal, but the representative on the phone was rude and pushy the whole time. Finally we set a date for the template and install. I figured, hey. This lady is probably having a rough day or something. Everybody has those days. Our next contact with them was the day before the template install. The representative left me a voicemail confirming our template fitting for the next day. I called back to confirm, but the voicemail included information that we did not know beforehand, and I asked a few questions concerned that on our first call some details were left out. The representative refused to listen to what I was saying, repeatedly saying I was wrong and so forth. We both left that conversation disgruntled. I then did some research on the company and their reputation, and knew that they weren't the right company for us. They were disrespectful on three different occasions (the third being my cancellation call), and I just can't see us spending $2,000 with a company that doesn't respect us or listen to us. read more

I was leery of allowing US Granite to install my Quartz after reading all of the reviews on various sites. I purchased my cabinets and quartz from Ikea like a lot of others who have written reviews. I did have an issue with not getting a return phone call, but otherwise my install was smooth. I made my appointments well in advance and even had to reschedule due to a problem with my appliance delivery. Upon install, we discovered the measurer had neglected to measure a lone cabinet on the other side of the room; US Granite had him come back out that day. They told me the piece had not been included in the final cost (I had added the windowsill after my initial Ikea purchase) but they could utilize a remnant from a different batch number for free if I was willing. They sent pictures and it looked like a match. The installed the new piece the next week with no issues. I appreciated how quickly they addressed the problem and the solution ended up costing $0. The counters were installed beautifully and the seam is barely visible. I am extremely happy with the results. read more

Bought Caesarstone quartz countertops through IKEA, and unfortuately until they change installation partners we will never go back to them for counters. I will say that Shea is very nice and patient, but that can't make up for the fact that our original install date was August 10 and we are still waiting to resolve issues 5 weeks later after 2 visits and 2 no-shows on a needed third visit to perform repairs of significant and completely avoidable damages. We have one wall counter with sink and a large island with a waterfall edge. On the first visit (8/10), the sink hole had been cut the wrong size (even though the guy who measured said they had worked with that exact sink several times before) so they could not install the wall counter at all. They did install the island. However, it was installed 3/8 of an inch off from where it was meant to be, meaning the cabinet doors and drawers jutted out beyond the edge in an obvious and unsightly way. There were several issues with the seams between slabs being off color, incomplete, poorly polished/blended so that the seam was visible from the far end of the house even in low light, and was glaring with sunlight reflecting. The edges have a few spots that had to be hand-sanded that don't match the rounded edge of the rest of the slab at all. Second attempt: No-show on 8/22 Third attempt: After a no-show on 8/22, was able to argue my way onto their schedule for 8/24. A different crew showed up and were able to install the wall sink counter. They cleaned up the seams on the island and move it over into the correct location. I was under the impression that they would in some way mechanically jack it up to move it over, but I think the two guys just wiggled it over with brute force. In the process, they created a long 12" crack in the top slab where it meets the waterfall edge. Particularly upsetting since it would never have happened if the first install had been correct. Doubly upsetting that the crew walked me around and pointed out all the areas where they had touched up the seams and other repairs they had done, but they did not mention or point out that they had created a 1-ft long crack in the process. It is clear that they did a very quick patch job to cover it up, but made zero mention of it and so I didn't catch it until the next day. Total loss of trust on that one. Fourth attempt: Another no-show the following week. Fifth attempt: Who knows? Will update this review if we get one. None of my calls or voicemails have been returned since the last no-show. Very frustrating and unacceptable experience up to this point. read more

We ordered quartz countertops from IKEA, and received a call from Shea at US Granite very soon after the order. Shea has been amazing. She went beyond the call of duty to schedule an appointment for measurement so we can meet the project deadline. The gentleman who came to measure had to work in a chaotic and loud area of construction and handled it with patience and care. He paid a great deal of attention to detail - even making sure the range would fit in the space provided. But the process went smooth, we had a delay on the cabinet installation, but when those got done US Granite came out and measured, it took a couple weeks to get the install done after the measure. We just got our quartz counters installed, and could not be more happy! They look absolutely perfect and the seams are hard to find. We ordered through IKEA, and had a great customer service experience with Barb. Our project was delayed and US Granite did not skip a beat. They were able to schedule both our template and install appointments quickly. We changed our color at templating without trouble, and then we had to change measurements after the template was complete. Barb scrambled to get another template appointment in time, so that our original slab order did not have to restart. Everyone was professional, efficient and courteous throughout. Just had these folks install our kitchen, terrible job!!!! They measured wrong and had to field cut the stone. The lines were not even close to straight. Left the sink sticking out told my wife that's how it supposed to be. Had a water fall installed and they didn't even polish the back of the stone, seriously left it raw cut, not sure how the fix that without starting over. Finally went back to Ikea to see if they can get this mess figured out. I would strongly recommend not using these people. Frankly not sure why Ikea does? read more

But they weren't there on Monday and didn't have the slabs pulled out. They said they would come by our house to measure for the job at noon on Tuesday. We purchased cabinet and quartz countertop from Ikea. The sales people at Ikea are really awesome. The choices of quartz (Ceasarstone) are good. The prices are higher than local companies (yes, even with 10% sale). But we made a choice to go with Ikea because of the brand name and we felt that Ikea must have vetted out their subcontractors. Ikea gets a long form signed when you order countertop. Most of the language is to protect themselves and their vendor... [I know this is a long background, but I am getting to the point in just a minute]. I did not know about Ikea not installing themselves and have a subcontractor. It was disclosed to me during signing the paperwork that US granite will handle the countertop part - right from making a template to fabricating it and installing it. We came home and that night and I did a background dig on US Granite. I was shocked to see a lot of negative reviews on US Granite. Most of the reviews said that it is extremely hard to get hold of them and they are mostly are late on their work. It did not give me a good vibe. I was worried. I was told that someone will call me for setting a date for template visit within 3 business days. I did not want to take a chance. So I decided to give them a call. I called them several times and no one answered my call. I called them at various times and it was no different. Along with that I could not even leave a message because the voicemail was full and could not accept any more messages. I tried this for next 2 days and the result was the same. Finally on the third business day I went and saw a representative at Ikea for cancellation of countertop portion. I was told that they cannot cancel the order or refund until they received a cancellation PO from US Granite. I explained them what had happened and I was told that I should call them and tell them to process the cancellation PO. I was handed over 2 phone numbers along with 2 email addresses. One of the phone number was the same. I felt a little relief because I now have at least 3 new contact methods. I tried the other number today and it had a voicemail setup that said that this number is no longer monitored and I should call on Barbara's cell phone number. So I called that number and it went straight to voicemail. I left voicemail on that. I had sent an email to her (barbaraditch@usgranite.com) and the Ceasarstone rep (jeremy.esmundo@caesarstoneus.com) in the morning. I had also called Ikea and left them a message. I have received no responses. I had made up my mind by the end of day that I cannot do business with irresponsible vendor. I am seriously surprised on the fact that Ikea has kept US granite as a subcontractor. There are so many Granite and Quartz retailers who fabricate and install countertops and have prices lower than Ikea and have great reviews. I have not received any response from any of the parties I have contacted. Latest update: I visited Ikea and found out that they had received cancellation PO. I went ahead and processed that cancellation for a full refund. I should say that in general my experience working with Ikea has been good. Cabinets arrived in great condition and on time just like promised. I have signed up a contract with another local vendor this evening and have saved over $1,290 - yes very comparable product. I will be very vocal in letting others know that they should think 10 times before signing up a contract with US Granite. read more

I was overall pleased with US Granite, but am deducting a star due to scheduling issues. I bought quartz countertops through IKEA, and a week or so later received a call from Barb to schedule templating. (Side note: Barb was a pleasure to work with, I'm surprised by some of the negative comments about her in other reviews.) The template person was on time, professional, and worked quickly. Installation was then scheduled for two weeks out, but the business day before I received a call that our slab had broken in production and there would be a delay of a few days, which turned into 10 days. Very frustrating! Once the new slab was ready, the installers were on time, professional, and communicative. The counters look gorgeous, and the single large seam is barely noticeable. There are also seams behind the farmhouse sink and range, which are virtually invisible. I was pretty worried after we ordered and then read other reviews, but overall had a positive experience - and the price cannot be beat! read more

I too recently went for the ikea kitchen and countertops. I was super worried after reading all of the previous reviews but they did a fantastic job! The guy that measured was great and on time as were the installers. We have one major seam that I was worried about but they did such a great job you can't even see it. So, if you bought IKEA counters and look here don't fret--it will be ok. The rest of the ikea kitchen process? Not so much. read more

*I will update this review when I see what US Granite does to correct their mistake.* We ordered quartz countertops from Ikea. They contract with US Granite. We waited 3 weeks for the install, which is longer than normal due to Barb being on vacation (which we were assured wouldn't affect our install time, but it did.) The installers came today. They overcut a spot and left a HALF INCH gap between the counter and the wall. They tried to convince us that tile would cover the spot... no it wont, and we aren't changing our kitchen design to cover up their mistake. When speaking to Barb about the gap, she mentioned the "industry standard" for a gap between the countertop and the wall is 1/4 inch. Based on my research and the Natural Stone Institute website, the industry standard is 1/8 inch between a stone slab and the wall. 1/8 of an inch makes a BIG DIFFERENCE. And really, if they are using a laser template, it should be darn near perfect. The operations manager did come out right away. He saw the mistake and also pointed out that the sink hole was cut wrong even though I had a phone conversation with Barb about the odd shape of the sink and was assured it would be done properly. The installers just filled the hole with caulk and tried to hide it from us! To make matters worse, they glued the countertop down even though they could see it was cut wrong. So, when they ripped it out per the managers instruction, it completely messed up all the prep work we had done to our cabinets. They didn't even clean up their mess. So here we are, 3 weeks after forking over $2,000... still no countertops, a big mess, a wasted day off from work and prepping work that has to be redone at our expense. We have yet to hear how soon they are going to re-install the new countertop. Like I said, I will update my review based on what they do to fix this mess. read more

US Granite is the contractor IKEA works with, and who we ordered two bathroom countertops and backsplashes through. I will start upfront: if I could give 0 stars I would, and the 1 star they are receiving is for the countertop color only. We've learned our lesson and will never use them again for countertops, and here are our reasons: Timeliness: If being on time matters to you AT all, do not use them. They give you a lovely 2 hour window (typical, that's fine) and barely make it within the time frame or not at all. For templating the countertops, they showed up 5 minutes before the end of the two hour time frame, with a person who did not introduce himself with the name of who I was expecting. The second arrival for installation, they arrive an hour an a half late with a call right at the 2 hour mark. Cleanliness: Yeah, this one got use as I didn't see anything until after they left! The boxes for our sink were left in our driveway, they cut the quartz on our grass, walked throughout the carpeted areas in our home with wet/muddy shoes and the last and worst part is, they peed in our toilet and did not flush it at all. Yeah sure use our toilet, I get it, but flush it! Installation failure: Originally I was shocked to find out they charge $350 for an Undermount sink. Then IKEA told me it's because they have to polish the edges and drill holes under to keep the sink attached. Okay, sure! But they didn't drill holes and now my husband had to make a contraption to hold the sink in place so it won't drop! So if you do get an Undermount sink and want it used, make sure they do this first! Do not use US Granite or IKEA in the Seattle area, run far far away. read more

I was extremely worried to go with this company...the reviews on yelp will show you why. But they did awesome. Our kitchen project was behind, so when Barb called we weren't ready for them to set up a date. She called to check in later, and we were able to set a date...maybe it helped that we were later after the IKEA sale that we had no scheduling issues, not sure. Anyway, the guy who measured, may have been Trevor, was great. He figured out we could do our counters with no seam, yay! He even measured our doorways to ensure the large piece would fit. We set up install for 10 days later. Only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is the installers didn't show up in the 2 hour window and I got a call right at the 2 hour mark telling me they had a flat tire and would be a half hour late. If the call had come within the 2 hour window I'd have given 5 stars. Installer Louiz (and another kind man he was training) did awesome. Very friendly, informative, and most of all the finished product is beautiful. read more

Used US Granite for new kitchen counter tops after a water-line break damaged our cupboards and had to be replaced, along with the granite countertops. In addition to us, a contractor hired by our insurance company was dealing with US Granite. US Granite had TERRIBLE customer service, unprofessional and unresponsive. Difficult to get anyone in authority to talk with us or our contractor. My husband had gone to their warehouse and picked out the slabs we wanted. When the cut countertops arrived, the counter that is the focal point of our kitchen was cut with a big black vein running diagonally near center of the light-colored countertop. We complained and were told it was the nature of the granite and they would not recut to avoid the vein. Incompetent installers damaged new countertops twice. After we refused to accept the shoddy workmanship and damaged countertops, the company replaced one damaged counter after a supervisor came out to look at it and agreed to replace. But they wanted to "repair" rather than replace second countertop, which was cracked when installed. Their idea of repairing a crack in the countertop was to chisel out the crack, fill with some kind of filler, then use a Sharpie to try to blend the color with the countertop. They "repaired" in this fashion twice, making it worse the second time. They finally replaced the countertop when we refused to accept and pay for the damaged countertop. This took months. When counters were installed the first time we asked if they were ready to use, and installer said they were. We were not informed that the countertops had not been sealed. When counters became discolored due to water, etc. being put on the counter, supervisor then informed us US Granite does not seal granite and that it's the homeowner's responsibility so they are not liable for the damage of discoloration. We now have to live with that damage because we didn't specifically ask about sealing, assuming when the installer told us the counters were ready to use, they had been sealed. No one bothered to mention to us that we were responsible to seal the countertops. We would never use US Granite again. We understand that the nature of granite might be unpredictable. But damage due to incompetence, irresponsibility and apparently just not caring to provide good customer service is inexcusable. After complaints and withholding payment, they did finally replace the counters that their installers damaged so I'm giving them a 1 star. But their customer service gets a BIG ZERO. read more

I ordered my quartz through IKEA and it was much more expensive than the previous quartz and had bought with them considering it was exactly the same! So the project didn't start out great. We have sold our house and needed this done in a timely manner. Then Barb called and left a message that I had to pay another $252 for "an extra crew" because the quartz would be too heavy. I wasn't in the state and she wouldn't take payment over the phone. She said I had to go to IKEA to pay. I called IKEA and asked if I could pay in Nevada and they said no. But, I could buy a gift card online and use that. Yesterday the quartz was installed with only 1 crew. So I called Barb and told her since one Crew showed up I should get a refund on the extra money I paid. She said she would get back to me. I received an email from her stating that because the countertop was so large I wasn't getting a refund. However this was not what she had told me in the voicemail. Do NOT ever buy counters from US Granite in Auburn or buy counters through IKEA (they contract US Granite). We were suppose to get a call within 3 business days of purchase to set up a template appointment, they didn't call. I called on the 4th to set something up which was scheduled for yesterday the 13th (they were suppose to call the 12th to confirm), they didn't call. So I had to call to confirm my own appt. Was then told there was a scheduling error and they needed to reschedule me for today the 14th between 10-12 (they would call the 13th to confirm) I agreed! Received a call on the 13th to confirm my appt set for the 14th between 10-12, but was then told that it would be closer to 12, then changed the time at the last minute, all in the same conversation, that it would NOW be between 12-1 with it being closer to 12:30 1:00. 1:00 came and went, so I had to make ANOTHER call to them to find out what was going on. The lady (Misheala) tried to retract her conversation with me saying she told me between 12-2 but would most likely be 2:15. I told her that was unacceptable and they needed to get here now, I wasn't waiting (I had errands to run). She said that he would wait for me to come back (he was going to wait awhile then) She then called back AGAIN and said they wouldn't be there until 2:45 because the template guy was in University Place stuck at a job. I told her to forget it, I wanted it cancelled and that her manager (Nick) needed to contact me. She then told me that he was the operations manager and wasn't going to do much. I said I didn't care, have him call me anyway. He called and didn't really care what I had to say or apologized for what had happened, told me the guy was headed to my house and I told him he better tell him to go somewhere else because I won't be here, I'm done. He then tried to give me ANOTHER 2 hour window for them to come today. I told him I wasn't staying another 2 hours when I have been waiting already. Purchased new countertops via Ikea on Black Friday. US Granite contracts with them for this and so they contacted me to do the template. They came out December 17, 2014 to do the template. I was told by Ikea that it would be 10 days between template and install. No way! My countertops were installed on January 14, 2015. They chipped them with the install. I was told I HAD to let me do a repair, not replacement. So they came out on the 26th (yes, two weeks later) to do a repair which was not acceptable. I complained to Ikea and with Ikea's help, they recut the two slabs that had issues. The second install was on February 9, 2015. The installers were very nice and installed the slabs with no chips. After letting the countertop set for a day, I started to put my kitchen back together and noticed that the countertops round my stove were different heights. Upon measuring the countertops the two slabs are a different thickness. Per US Granite, 3mm is a OK allowance. No, No it is not ok to have different heights of counters in your kitchen. Going back to Ikea to see how this can be resolved without US Granite or they can come get the countertops and I will order new ones from a better company. read more
