The estimates from the 3 companies came back with wide range of recommendations and costs. Tony from Star Techn came to do the estimate. He was very professional and informative and answered all of my questions. We picked Star Techn. Foundation Repair because of their estimate and recommendation made sense and not upselling with so many different options which added more costs. Flor was great in her responsive and constant communications with me from the beginning and throughout the project. Flor and Henry were able to work with my schedule to start the project. In addition to keeping the work around the house free of trash and organized, the crew really worked hard and well together in getting the project done in such short amount of time which exceeded my expectations. We have 2 large oak trees close to the front of the house. During the digging of the holes , the crew cut lots of the roots with some as large as one foot in diameter. Apparently, these tree roots have been moving towards the house causing the elevation and foundation issues at the front part of house. Because of discovering this issue, Flora informed me and recommended the metal tree root barrier service that they can do. After reviewing the process and considering protecting the investment of the house foundation from further future damage, we proceeded with the metal root barrier service. Glad we did this since we discovered more large roots encroaching the house that the crew had to cut off. From start to finish, the team was incredible. They kept us in the loop the entire time during the project and were candid when they spotted issues or uncovered things that needed to be fixed (like plumbing). The biggest thing for us during this project is that we truly felt like we were receiving an honest assessment and fair value for the work being performed. Mr. Bill said that the leveling would cause more issues in the long term. He didn't mind doing more work if it was actually needed and produced the results.
