If you need foundation work you should contact Deep Rock Foundation. Because my work was a substantial job I wanted more than one estimate. The second company wanted me to contact a structural engineer for a repair plan which they would then use to level my house. Not so with Deep Rock, Derek inspected my home and provided me a repair plan from the initial visit. There was no hard sales pressure when dealing with Derek. He is sincerely interested in doing what is best for the customer. He made adjustments to the leveling plan which saved me about a thousand dollars and saved a part of my floor which I did not want tore up. Derek was there to check in multiple times each day to make sure I was comfortable with the work being done and to ease the anxiety that naturally occurred as I watched piles of dirt building up around and in my house. His team was respectful, they worked hard each day and did excellent work. The clean up was A plus. And the customer service doesn't stop after the job is finished. Derek checked in again to make sure I was satisfied with the results and the clean up. The cherry on top, a structural engineer is following up with a visit to ensure the piers are working as they should. Last year (2023) we realized our home of over 20 years needed leveling. After researching local foundation repair companies, we contacted a few businesses to get estimates and learn about their repair process. Deep Rock Foundation, located in Friendswood, stood out to us. The owner, Derek Denman, gave us a free estimate with a "no pressure" sales. We felt comfortable with Derek's explanation of their process which really helped us understand what needed to be done. After inspection and measurements were taken, the foundation leveling began. This work was done by numerous crew members who were punctual, polite, and respectful of our property. Work areas were cleaned up every day. We were updated every day about the leveling progress. Derek was present at the beginning of the job and kept in touch with us throughout. He took measurements before the process and verified correction after completion. I needed foundation repair for my mother's home. Having to get quotes and hire a structural foundation company was a new experience for me and was overwhelming. After getting five quotes I selected Deep Rock because of their outstanding customer service, competitive pricing, expertise, and professionalism. I had even hired an independent third party engineering firm because I was getting a wide range of recommendations on the kind of repairs the home needed. I was impressed when Mason, our Deep Rock consultant, reached out to the firm to share notes and thoughts on the repair. That Mason took time to collaborate ensured me his priority was making the best repairs for our home. I'm so happy we selected Deep Rock. And Mason, our consultant, is exceptional. He treated my mom, who is in her 70's, with so much respect. He has a calm, professional, and caring demeanor which shined through whenever he patiently addressed any of my mom's questions or concerns. She was very appreciative of Mason and I'm grateful he helped calm mom's fears by explaining the process thoroughly and being available and responsive if we had additional questions. After several meetings and discussions we decided to do a hybrid approach to the repairs. We needed a lot of pillars because there was almost a four inch difference between the back corner of the home to the front corner. We chose to tunnel underneath the living room to install those pillars. That meant we could keep the hardwood floors there. All other pillars were breakthroughs or installed outside along the perimeter. Deep Rock took care of acquiring the permit and the project took a week to complete. Their team worked hard (in the Texas summer heat!) and cleaned up everything after it was done. Mason kept me informed during the construction process, which I appreciated. A bonus offering from Deep Rock is that they bring in a third party engineering firm after the foundation work to provide an independent report. The representative from the engineering firm took the requisite measurements and said their leveling work was really good. Mom can sleep better knowing the house is stable. I can't say enough about my experience with this company. Mason was very friendly and knowledgeable. From the beginning of our interaction, I felt he wanted to do what was best for us. He prepared a DETAILED floorpan of the house showing the elevations at various locations. He explained how the entire house was tilted a bit, but based on the somewhat uniform decrease in elevations and his exterior inspection, he recommended we NOT level at this juncture. Instead, periodic monitoring for additional movement would be appropriate. Finding such an honest, hard-working person was uplifting - pun intended!! He also recommended a plumber who found and cleared a pipe blockage in a strange place and saved us THOUSANDS of dollars by not needing to tunnel under the slab (as recommended by two other plumbers) to fix a pipe that wasn't actually broken! We thought about using a large national company, but after our initial meeting with foundation consultant Mason White and owner Derek Denman, decided to go with Deep Rock. We are so happy that we did! Ours was a major project that required 53 piers and nearly 100 feet of tunneling. The crew worked hard and everything went smoothly. There were 8 guys working and Mason checked on everything each day. The guys were so good that we treated them to a pizza lunch toward the end of the project. Mason has become a good friend - almost like family! We needed some plumbing work and although he didn't have to, Mason consulted with the plumber to make sure that everything went smoothly.
