These reviews don't lie and neither does the company. They really are honest! When I mean "they", I can only speak for Dale who came out and did the evaluation for us. Long story short, our house was within code and didn't need any adjustments done to it. He could have easily fudge some numbers or recommend fixing some areas of the house (that were showing to be a bit high), but he simply went over his findings with us and concluded that nothing was wrong. With a world full of untrustworthy contractors and people, it's refreshing to know the good ones still exists. Also to add, Dale was polite and even took off his shoes before entering the house. Look no further for foundation repairs, you've got your guys right here! We had an appointment for Dale to come take a look at our foundation after we called Structured Foundation Repairs. He was early, came right in and explained what he was going to do, and got right to work. We followed Dale around as he assessed our entire house. During this time, we asked plenty of questions so we could understand everything better and Dale was more than happy to answer them all. He provided great, detailed and expert explanations and advice. At the end of his assessment, he let us know that our foundation was actually perfectly fine! He was extremely honest, straightforward and answered ALL our questions with a smile behind his mask (due to COVID). It was so refreshing to hear him say that our foundation was fine and no repairs were needed. 2/1 UPDATE. Updating my review here and upgrading from 1 star to 4. After posting my original review, I received a phone call from the business owner. I explained (calmly) exactly what I wrote in the review. The owner listened to my concerns and conceded that Dale admitted that the issues as I described them herein were a curate. (I believe Dale confused me with another homeowner). We had a good/productive conversation. I shared with the business owner how I thought the issues to be best resolved. It included having him come to my home to confirm that the work done, though not originally in scope, was appropriate for the foundation issues and not an overcorrection. We agreed on the next steps. Today, he came out and showed me measurements taken by his crew chief (who also came out to my home with him) that indicate the work performed was not an overcorrection He also identified some sink holes that developed near the sites where they installed pilings and are set to come back to fill those in (the excessive moisture has helped create those). I am satisfied with the steps taken by the business owner to ensure I'm satisfied with the work overall. I appreciate the way the business owner is working to make things right. read more

We had foundation work done with them about three years ago. They gave us a warranty. The house kept moving, and we called them back twice to fix it within the warranty time. When the warranty had ended, the house was still moving. We called them, and they said we were out of the warranty, so we would have to start over. We didn't have the money to pay what we had originally paid, so we had to let our house go to $&*%. We wondered what the point of hiring them in the first place was. They may be great with slab foundation, but if you have pier and beam like we do, I suggest going with someone who will stand by their work and give you something to show for the fortune you have to pay. I left a negative review after this happened, and the owner revealed my home address on Yelp, probably to intimidate me out of leaving the review. (If you see other negative reviews on this sight, you will see he has done the same thing to others.) That is the reason I took my review down. He will probably do the same now, but I have decided that it's worth it, and I still want to leave this review. read more

Dale Rutledge came to inspect my home, immediately after walking in takes his shoes off and says "oh it's sunken here" I say let me know if you need anything he replies "A wad of 20s would be nice" then proceeds to give an inspection of 14,000 needed repairs of which most of the notes I cannot see the stated issues and no other inspector has found prior, I wonder what would've happened if I gave him those 20s? I had a great experience today with Mr. Bryant Tatum of Structured Foundation Repairs. I am in the option period of inspecting a home I would like to buy and there were known foundation elevation issues. Bryant came out and performed a thorough inspection, took measurements and explained his findings. And all of this was done in a short time frame and in an extremely professional manner. Bryant's findings were such that I do not anticipate repairs in the near future but I would certainly use Structured Foundation Repairs if I needed these services. 8/31 - House leveling job took place (11000.00) 9/16 - Cabinets installed, appliances put into designated spots in kitchen. 9/27 - A large depression (sinkhole) appears in the living room adjacent to the kitchen. 9/27 - Structured Foundation was notified 9/29 - Crew (originally did work) came back to house to address depression. Support Beam installed. NOTE: Depression occurred because a support beam was needed under wall that runs between kitchen & living room. Crew Chief knew this on 8/31 & choose not to install one. He also did not tell homeowners anything about it. RESULT: Cabinets & Paint are messed up badly. Cabinet maker has to return. Homeowner has to repaint/caulk. 10/6 - Floors being installed. Leveling on floors are really bad and require "at least" 30 bags of float material before new flooring is able to be laid properly. read more

I really like the company and owner. The owner evaluated my property a few years apart. He showed me numbers to explain that, although my foundation does show some movement, the amount of settling is within an expected range and there is no need to do costly re-stabilization work at this time. On their advice I did have them install a combination drain system after the house showed some heaving on the other side, where we had removed several large oak trees. The drain seems like a good investment. For comparison, I also had another big-name company come by a few times over the same time period. The reps for that other company seemed more like foundation *salesmen* than advisors. They gave me some very costly bids, and their numbers did not seem to add up. We just purchased a new home and the initial inspection indicated foundation repair was needed. We had quotes between 20k and 40k from other foundation companies and wanted another opinion. That's where Structured Foundation Repair and the legendary Dale came in. We scheduled an evaluation with Structured Foundation Repair and Dale was able to come out within a week (and arrived early!). After taking some measurements around our home, he walked us through his findings. He explained a little bit about how the foundation industry works in Texas, how it is non-regulated and the ASCE guidelines he and Structured Foundation Repair use. Although our foundation did have some height variation outside the recommenced numbers, Dale explained that he actually wouldn't recommend any work on our foundation! We had tons of questions as to how he came up with that recommendation and he patiently answered every single one. He then walked with us through the house and taught us how to spot foundation movement by looking at our walls, doors, etc. Looks like we'll be able to safe a bunch of foundation work. Thanks Dale! My husband has trust issues when it comes to vendors as sometimes he feels like they act in their own interest and recommend repairs that are not really required in order to make $$$. This does not apply to Structured Foundation at all. Dale was completely honest during his FREE assessment and explained everything he was doing and observing. Although I did not have work done, this review is for the quote/review that Mr. Dale did for my home. I have drainage issues behind my home so I called this company to come out and see what can be done about it. I was also worried out foundation had been damaged from the water thus far. Allen came and checked inside, outside, and the roof. Long-story short; concluded there are no foundation issues that need immediate repair but did point out design issues with our roof. He also explained possible solutions for the excess water from said roof and took time to sketch/ show us where a underground drainage pipe could be installed. I appreciated the time he took to explain the possible drainage solution and the honesty about my homes roof and foundation. Not many companies are blunt with this kind of honesty, so if I do need end up needing help with my drainage (or foundation in the future) I will call Structured again to have them perform the work. read more

We have been in our home for 25 years and are the original owners. Over the past few years we have noticed some signs of foundation issues. There were a couple of cracks on the ceiling and walls on our ground floor and some separation in the exterior mortar of our brick. I was super nervous about costly foundation repairs but I knew it was time to bite the bullet and get an estimate on what I knew was going to be "bad news"! Brandon Hoge arrived at my house On Time. Brandon greeted me graciously and asked me to describe the issues I was concerned about regarding my home. I showed him every little crack and echoed my professional opinion that our house was clearly shifting. He got his equipment and started outside. He examined and measured outside and then inside. Measurements were taken thoroughly inside each room with a laser calibration device. Then he walked through the house and opened and closed each and every door. He told me that what I was seeing was normal shifting from a 25year old house! He advised me to invest in some gutters to keep water away from the house and said that if I had any concerns in the future we could use the measurements he took as a baseline for comparison. I met Dale at the property and he walked me through everything he was looking for that would indicate a problem with the foundation. He was so informative, I walked away feeling like I fully understood what was going on. He even did a zip-level measurement to test the levelness of the house. We had a few cracks in the brick wall. Dale showed up on time and walked around the house with me showing me what to look for on the outside for potential foundation issues. He also advised me on landscaping to reduce stress on the foundation. Our appointment was scheduled for 9 am 12-26-2019. When I arrived at 8:45 am Dale Rutledge was already there and had finished with outside measurements.
